AR.Pro 2 for AR.Drones

I have only flown about 3 times thus far, and our of the three two were with the default parrot app. I took the risk to try another right off the bat, as it just felt so wobbly to me. This app I noticed immediately more stability better controls and it just felt more like I had control over the drone. 5 stars impressed here

Owned the drone for a week and was struggling with the free flight app.. downloaded this one and whoa! It's awesome! Instantly easier to control and makes the whole flying experience heaps more fun. Bloody good time for 7 bucks :)

App was OK for diagnosing issues, but crashes every time I try and use it to take off/fly. Leaving my drone flying with zero control (a fly away). I had to tie it down to test if it was something I did or the app.

Once you figure out how to use the software, it's very fun and addictive. Battery on the drone itself doesn't last long at all. Overall fun

The app starts ok, but the control doesn't seem to work. Shame, all the reviews said it was much better than the official app.

Smooth, Precise, Worthy, and make sure the Hover lock is on. It is amazing to have such thing and works perfectly fine with my nexus 5

App almost crashed my drone twice. App stop's responding and loose​ control of the drone completely.

Can't get GPS module to work? Also the state list doesn't have Georgia in it!

Switching to vertical cam is a breeze. How do i switch the joysticks when in dual joystick mode? They are the opposite of what im used to

Used to have the official app, but recently tried it and it got stuck on infinite 'loading' (after pressing on 'piloting') This app worked as charm and seems to be really capable. Awesome!

Works very well but I do not believe that FCC would approve of this application for it can use Wi-Fi from other access points instead of your phone

Way better then the parrot can app. Trying to get stable flying out of free flight is almost impossible after 2 fly aways I tried ar pro went through a 1 battery charge no fly aways.a must have.

App freezes on Samsung tab. Buttons don't work. Also map is hard work to display

Looking forward to test this app with my AR Drone 2.0 ! So far the settings offer a great variety and I love the spin up motor tests (individual). Thanks for making our droners life easier and happier ! Would love to be able to change the analog mappings for axis so I can use it with different controllers. Is it possible to change the deadzones for gamepad joystick axes ? Bernek

Do you have to have the GPS flight recorder in order to use the Offline maps, and I can not get the object tracking to work either, what am I doing wrong, I done everything to a T and it still will not track anything???

It's not I think it deserves 3 stars but I'm only a newbie, learning from scratch without wanting to crash, will update :-)

Highly recommended. A lot more stable than AR. FREE FLIGHT. Now it will actually go where i send it.

AR Drone 2.0 and 1.0

I think this a great software program and seems to work well with the AR Drone 2.0. Had to add that support from shellware is great!.Note: it also works very well with the Nvidia Shield with AR Drone 2.0. Now the only software I use on the shield. (Shield is a Great controller) For get the smart phones! UPDATE: I don't think this is supported anymore, Having some issues with 4.4.2, No more updates I think. Sad this was a great peace of software.

Have an Ar 2.0. Video feed would not work in Freeflight. Thought the camera or main board were pooched. Was considering the drone bricked. Searched extensively and could find no answers except speculation that parts were defective but no answers which part best buy a bunch they say......ya right. Big help. Installed this app and video is back the drone is alive and I'm a happy camper. Had even tried the original V1 of AR Drone Pro but video feed was still jammed. Love to know why this app fixed my brick but happy it did. 5 stars for the repair. Salute.

Connected to drone, GPS, sixaxis controller waypoints...... Everything you need. Thanks for what must have been a lot of development time but its worth it. The app is fabulous!

Sometimes gamepad works and sometimes it doesn't. Settings reset automatically.

"Honeycomb+ Design Elements" isn't a feature, what year is it, 2011?... This app has much more to offer compared to Freeflight 2.0, of which Parrot refuses to update, but Freeflight has a nicer UI. As of April 2015, this app hasn't been updated in a year.

The UI needs a lot of work for it to work better on tablets and with Material Design, or at least Holo. This app has much more to offer compared to Freeflight 2.0, of which Parrot refuses to update, but Freeflight has a nicer UI. As of February 2015, this app hasn't been updated for almost a year.

Absolutely worth the cost just for the configuration features alone. And so much more functionality than Parrots own software. For the price of the ar.drone parrot should have had something this good. Thanks to the author of this little beauty we can do so much with it now.
