My City Taxi

Booked a taxi 2 days early. Taxi had not arrived 10 minutes after due so phoned. They said busy at moment and cannot guarantee getting to station if given less than 1 hours notice. The company cancelled the booking on the app. Then phoned an hour and a bit later saying ready to pick us up while on the train that had left Sheffield. So cannot trust the firm or the app.

After update app refuses to let me register card details as it says no Internet connection. Funny how it says no Internet connection but they still manage to take £1 from my account every time I tried to register. Ring them up and explain and they don't care. Shocking service!!!

Downloaded this as I wished to get a cab from Hoyland - Sheffield city centre. App told me they don't cover the area. Checked my banking today & £1.01 has been taken out on the day I downloaded it.... what this cost is for I don't know. Will be lodging a formal complaint. I know it's only a quid but still it's without my authorisation!

Worked ok the first time I used it although you don't get priority and the driver ignored my instructions. Now it just doesn't work, useless.

Have reregistered twice today because every time I leave the app it forgets my details and brings me to the registration screen. Uber it is then.

I've moved to Norton recently, and though the app says a 10 min wait in the morning I end up waiting 30 mins plus! This has happened 4 times now! I don't mind if there is a long wait but the app needs to reflect this so I can find alternative travel if you can't get to me quick enough. Please fix and I will 5 star rate.

The app constantly nags for a contacts permission if you deny it and often shows failure screens for common actions if you keep denying. There's no reason to access my contacts to book a taxi, so I'm quite dissatisfied and disappointed, but forced to use the app to book a taxi without picking up a phone.

Absolutely pathetic always late!been using them for 3 years and at least 3 times a day.they just get worse. They cancel my bookings all the time. Send two cars to me sometimes. Then blame me. The operators have horrendous social skills and are very rude. The app is useless aswell always says pending. You'd think with how successful they are as a company they would use their money on trying to to fix these problems and try and be even more successful but unfortunately they are going down hill, they are going to lose a lot of business unless they fix this. Go to uber they are a lot more reliable.

Whennyou book a taxi for a certain time its always late so next time you try book it a little ealier and it shows up 10 minutes ealier than u wanted it. Booked a taxi to pay on my card while in the taxii had booked i had a phone call to say there was a taxi waiting for me outside mine and i was charged 1.07 for there mistake.

Be great if your drivers didn't just take the first people that come to them when you've booked. I take at least 10/15 cabs a week. Just finished a long nights work and 2 drivers didn't turn up, and at 4am I can imagine you can understand my frustration. Uber's already a quid cheaper a journey...

I just got train from sheffield station to meadowhall got off walked up steps come out on main road phones for city taxi they tell me i need to be at a specific location so walk down too wincobank medical centre phones back up tells them my location...what road is it on she asks.... bloody hell are you serious i thought so had to google map it too say tyler street!!!! My god this technology is useless too these guys... rubbish customer service but reliable taxi as came in 2 minutes well thats half the story i was being followed by a gang of youths.... which i told them this.

No longer works, keep getting no network error when trying to add a card despite being online with a full network connection! Updated as tried getting developer to help to no avail. Use über instead.

I used it for first time today, I uploaded my card details , then when the driver dropped me off he requested cash which led me late to my meeting and was more expensive than a surge on Uber. Do not use this, use Uber . this app has a long way to go

Been trying to add my new card for weeks. 9 phone calls to city with no tech support at all. Shockingly poor service/support

After changing from Huawei Honor 7 to Samsung Galaxy S5 cannot add card details so app is functionally useless.

The app works ok for the intended purpose, however it causes a pop up (toast) to trigger every minute advising to check the network connection.

Only works when it's not busy. Drivers avoid app bookings and tend to pick up from city centre illegally.

Fantastic app, so easy and quick to use. Been using City for almost 7 years now & never been let down. This app just enhances their service.

After registering my debit card, it said it would add 50p onto each fare as a "processing fee". The club taxi app did not do this. I'm going back to cash, cheques.

Really useful app much quicker then ringing. Would really like to be able to get rough prices on this for destinations to make it a 5

City taxis is a great service however recently the app hasn't been letting me book taxis

Give your rating of your journey a 1 star, and then the app stops working. Obviously stealing money from a purse is not something negative. Wankers.

Ordered a cab around 01.30 and stood waiting in the street. Didn't turn up when it said 5 minutes and is still saying arrival time of 5 minutes! 14 hours later. Utter rubbish. Uninstalling app and will never use City cabs again!

Taxi driver fobs off with no phone call. Bad service, bad app with poor GPS

Changed phone not number but when open app it keeps on saying REGISTER. No other option to log in, so try to register, it asks for a code sent via text to verify. Text never received. So Uninstalled!

This app will no longer allow cards to be registered if you're on the latest version of Android. Reported ages ago and no action taken! Very disappointing as I used the feature very frequently and never had a problem with paying by card.

Great app that tells you everything that you need to know. Must say that it makes booking a taxi a whole lot easier. Must make it cheaper in the long run for city cars. So it's a win win situation. And now you can use a card to pay for the journey. Knocks Uber into the ground !

Think what would be amazing is price estimates as I sometimes don't get a taxi if I don't think I'll have enough at over side lol

When it hits 23:00 Friday or Saturday I rely on excel taxis they get me home city's always when I ring them up its a were busy and not taking anymore bookings and I'm a regular. They were brilliant at beginning but when you really need them it's always the smaller firms that are interested. Hire more staff

Great app, very reliable company and safe, drivers are all CRB checked and liscenced unlike other taxi/car share apps available In Sheffield! Never waited longer than 5 mins

well... downloaded about 8 times.... I try and register and it comes up with a problem ' ''WE COULD NOT COMPLETE YOUR REQUEST. DO YOU HAVE A NETWORK CONNECTION?? Yes I bloody do, Bit laborious calling them as you have to trundle through their automated system at the start of the call. Anyone else having problems with the app?? I give it zero / 5 because it just doesn't work.

Does what it needs to. Easy way to book. Can see your car coming on the map. Just take the waiting time with a pinch of salt it always says 5 mins weather they're busy or not.
