wunschlist: awesome gifts only

We all know this: On Christmas Morning as children we entered the family room where the Christmas tree glittered in the candle light with all presents underneath. Finally, the anticipation gave way to feverish tearing of the wrapping paper. Was the cool remote controlled car in there? Did we get the pirate ship we’d been wanting for months? Could that, in the very back, be the box with the Barbie horse carriage? And then: The disappointment. There was no car, there was clothing, and instead of Barbie we’d gotten a book.

Now we all are a bit older and we never want to give imperfect gifts – but we neither want to receive them! That is why you can now find the App “Wunschlist”, the social wish list, at the Google Play Store. Take a picture of the great things you see while browsing the storefronts. Add some information: Where you found your wish and how much it costs. Then you just decide whether you want it for your birthday or for Christmas and your friends or family may see your wish in their Wish-Stream. Of course, this also works for anniversaries, confirmations, weddings...

As a new feature, your friends and family are reminded by push message whenever they pass a shop where you have “flagged” a gift – in addition to being reminded of the upcoming occasion. If one of your wishes happens to a bit more pricy, a few of your friends may join together to fulfill your wish.
