About ShareWeather
ShareWeather predicts the actual appearance of weather and what happens on the ground, using smart graphics and beautiful animations. Also, ShareWeather gives you the opportunity to improve your own weather. Just select current clouds among the pictures, appropriate illustrations and descriptions of air and ground, and, a new forecast based on our advanced models will be returned to you instantly.
ShareWeather will take you several steps farther than any other forecast. The ShareWeather 16 day weather forecast is based sophisticated methods merging advanced forecasting models, own calculations, and user observations. While weathermen talk of what is happening in the air, ShareWeather will also explain the direct effects on the ground. You will be able to see how the appearance of the ground changes with time, while also getting descriptions and figures on growth in the nature, the risk of drought, flood, ice, frost, and more. ShareWeather is based on research. It was created by the inventor of a new concept of ”share weather”, a social weather platform providing improved weather forecasts based on many different input sources. Our knowledge and experience within the field (meteorology) is long. Here we spiced it with beautiful and functional graphics to create something really useful and trustworthy. Fun graphics and the capabilities of modern forecasting systems are merged to create some really unique features.
Data:
-16 day weather forecast, 3h intervalls
-The type and shape of clouds on different height levels
-Conventional meteorological variables: air temperature, precipitation, pressure, humidity, visibility, wind speed, wind direction, wind gusts, feels like (including wind chill)
-Variables describing the ground: water on ground, snow, melting snow, surface type (ice, frost, wet, dry, etc)
-Crop growth in nature
-Forecast correction for local altitude
Features:
-16 day Summary: Warmest, Coldest, Rainiest, Windiest, Sunniest, Cloudiest (displayed for about 5 sec whenever tapping 16 day Diagram, / Sky, or home button).
-Text prognosis: Description (Sky+), large text view (air temperature, feels like, wind) (Air-), full list of conventional meteorological variables (Air+).
-Sky View: Animations are played from the Play console (play speed adjustable). Next and previous time steps can also be also accessed by swiping right or left, or tapping forward/back (3h) or fast forward/back (24h) (time steps also manageable via the Clock)
-Sky View with Overlaying Diagram: When in 3h mode, the diagram will display a 24h forecast. If the mode is switched to 24h, the coming 4 days are shown.
-16 day Diagram View: All 16 days are displayed in a Scrollable Diagram, time steps being changed if clicking the diagram. Variables can be selected under the settings (default: air temperature, wind direction).
-Wind presentation: Summary compass showing wind direction and speed for 16 days, 4 days, or 24h, the speed being represented by color intensity/transparency. Wind arrow length (single time steps) reflect wind speed, while their color imply the temperature trend (cold/warm air masses)
-Alerts: Red triangles will appear when triggered by threshold values, some of which can be managed in the settings (thresholds are easily changed to a desired value suiting one’s personal needs and preferences).
-Places: Search places using name or map. Any spot on the earth can be selected.
-Altitude: When downloading a new forecast, the altitude will be selected according to the meteorological model itself combined with data from Open Street Map. The user might then select an arbitrary altitude (+ or - relative to average terrain) under settings, and a new forecast will be acquired immediately, corresponding to the new height
-Offline mode: The latest forecast is saved for offline mode
-Unit conversion: Celsius/m/s or Fahrenheit/Mph can be selected under settings
-Report form: to fill in your own weather observation!
