ShapeUp for Android
For 3 years now, it still records data and then charts it a day old (10k steps today shows up in the chart as yesterday). Start screen is useless blabber. I can't track my own team or progress. But it inputs daily numbers and does conversion. Yay for meeting minimum usefulness.
Inconsistent data entry modes. Not user friendly. Does not interface well with devices. Our only auto transfer voice is fit!! Yes like we all use fit! Our health care companies select this for us. Maybe they would choose a different one if they had to use it.
Using the app for work competitions. Did ok when it was waiting about 24 hours before syncing correctly. Now it is taking 4 days or so. Removal of the synced account and reconnection have not helped. Uploads are being done several times a day and the app still won't sync
Obviously written by amateurs. Aweful user interface and little or no improvement to known issues. Lucky to get 2 stars. Update: Now downgraded to one star. The graphing is a day off which I see in the reviews as an issue that was reported a year ago. Ridiculous.
... at least all of my complaints from May 2015 have been addressed, so the basic functions are much more user friendly and bug-free. Now for my wish list. I hate to have to manually enter my steps when my phone automatically tracks them. Shapeup should be able to get that directly from S Health (Samsung). And allow us to choose the startup screen; the current feed screen is always empty and therefore useless.
No Google fit support, no Samsung S Health support. How do you not have support for the top fitness tracking apps on the market?
The app does not work well for example where are all of the comments that I saw earlier now I cannot find, they're not in one place. Very difficult to maneuver, things disappear I could go on and on
It's OK to track your steps but my company said it interfaces with other popular apps but they failed to mention what those apps are and ShapeUp doesn't mention what apps they might be. I have a Fitbit and would have loved to upload data from that but it doesn't seem possible. :(
App conversion chart is not nearly as complete as Web site, nor do they match. Neither have built-in calculator or recorder. Seems very basic, behind the times.
Simplistic hardly worth the down load... Not useful
Slow and dull software with many server errors. Also no ofline mode. Just useless
Very basic, boring app. No appeal.
This app does not record the data I put into it accurately. When it records, it shows data in the previous day and doesnt even record the whole amount!!! This is not a good app.
Absolutely will not allow me to find my challenge, no link, no options, nothing
It doesn't sync consistently with the apps it says it does. I shouldn't have to manually re sync. It defeats the purpose of the app.
Its a fair app, but it should be able to calculate steps for other activities like the website. It should also take input from more devices other than Fitbit, e.g., the Samsung watch.
Boring app
Does not want to sync my steps...
Helps me keep track of my physical activity
Hard to navigate through and find pages. Easier to rebuild an engine through the exhaust than use this
In time we can make it better. In the mean time Let's spread the news..
Loving it, very user friendly and I have it linked to my fitbit alta
Very quick recording. Just wish it was easier to find team standings.
Lags stats.
I like it. It helps keep track of everything you do. My employer has a Wellness programs going on around the world and we have set up teams and have challenges and we are using this to keep track of who is doing what and what team is in 1st place. It's great.
Samsung and Apple are the number 1 device sellers in the world yet shape- up isn't partnered S-Health or I Health. Makes a lot of sense so instead we have to use multiple subpar apps to sync data.
Entry of effort is easy- good. Sync with work challenges is ok, but the web lets you browse more so I've marked it down.
This app has told me for a week now it's "undergoing maintenance" and that I need to use the website for tracking. Fix it or get rid of it.
Look more like a failed homework from a high schooler....
Has some buggy features like the tracking not showing up correctly on some of the challenges.
Very poor quality app, the scroll doesn't even work well...
Good way to be able to track but you can't add compatible devices to automate some of the tracking. You have to go to the web
To cumbersome to get where you need to go. Please link to Samsung S health.
Stopped running, stopped running. I received that message alot. Plain app. Can't stand it
Constantly restarting and will not allow me to log out.
I get a lot of error-try agains. First time user. Need instructions.
Should set up a process to sync with Google fit . Manual tracking difficult.
Great app. Easy to use.
Still records data and then charts it a day old (10k steps today shows up in the chart as yesterday). Start screen is useless blabber. I can't track my own team or progress. It nags me constantly with a "Rate This" dialog box that doesn't respond to any input. But it inputs daily numbers and does conversion. Yay for meeting minimum usefulness.

Wish I could give it a ZERO! ShapeUp is not a small company - they serve some major corporations. I have seen middle schoolers develop far better apps than this. I'm disappointed. Please invest in some developers that take pride in their work. The Android app and the website are horribly unintuitive and cumbersome to navigate. This year is my fourth "on the move" step logging challenge with shape-up.
