About SplitScreen for Note II and S3
Split screen on Samsung devices only support a few pre-chosen applications. Sandcrawler expands the number of applications that support split screen (including YouTube). Be aware not all apps will convert or run with split screen features.
Split screen only supported on the following devices:
1) Samsung S-III (JB-4.1.2)
2) Galaxy Note II
If your Samsung device doesn't support split screen, Sandcrawler will be of NO use.
NOTICE: There are reports that Sandcrawler does not work on Android version 4.3+ (under current investigation)
Known limitations:
1) Does not support Samsung tablets (future support)
2) Does not allow conversion of pre-installed (factory) applications, although it does support updates (future support for pre-installed apps)
3) On some devices, paid applications may be encrypted and can't be converted (no future support)
4) Applications can fail to convert for various reasons (particularly those with integration to system accounts). Applications like facebook, yahoo and skype are known NOT to work but expect future support. Be patient and report issues so I can fix them.
5) User data (like account info/settings) does not convert over to new split screen app. You will need to re-enter it.
6) You will see two versions of a split screen app in your Settings/Applications list. This is expected. The second one is the split screen app. If you need to delete a split screen app, please do so through Sandcrawler.
Note: Sandcrawler stores key information for signing your split screen apps. if you install split screen apps with Sandcrawler and then clear Sandcrawler's data cache (or delete and then reinstall Sandcrawler), you will have problems updating future versions of your apps. It is highly recommended not to clear data if you wish to continue using Sandcrawler.
