Hawaii Volcanoes Driving Tour

This was very interesting, helpful and entertaining! Great stories and tips! Liked that we could use it even though we took the tour somewhat out of order--just shut it down and clicked on start again instead of "resume".

This app was great for Volcanoes National Park. I wish we would have known about the Shaka Guides earlier in our trip. We will definitely use their guides in the future.

Amazing locally designed app that will define your trip to the national park.

Hit every spot by GPS, as promised. Even showed us the way to see Devil's Throat. Heed the warnings and safety tips provided throughout the tour. They're given for good reason. Very informative, even telling us of local legends about various areas and items of interest. There were many stops where we were the only visitors or amongst a few others. Felt a little privileged, as if we were given the ultra-secret special tour. I wish there were more of your tours offered for the Big Island! Wonderful app!

A narrated guide through Volcano National Forest. This was awesome! We would not have had any idea what we were looking at, just like having a personal guide.

We just got back from driving the Chain of Craters Road and we used this app, and it was just perfect. The speaker had a great voice and the bits of info along the way were excellent. This is well worth the price of the app! Heading to Kauai next and will try their app for Kauai.

Very informative, interesting and relevant information. Easy to use. Ability to temporarily pause tour. It continues to play when your phone screen is off. I wish they had a full tour of the big island.

Great way to tour Volcano National Park. Uses GPS to correlate audio tour to you location so you can either follow their order of stops or tailor it to your own preferences. Good information about locations throughout park and stories about Hawaiian folklore. Best $3 I spent in Hawaii. Hint:download app ahead of time, bring a car charger for phone and audio /aux cord to pipe audio through car stereo system. (if you have one)

More than worth the price! A must have if you are trying to see the park with young kids. The tips, recommendations, and hike distance estimates make for an easy trip without much planning. Only wish the other audio tours for the big island were ready.

Great app. Information points activated automatically every time. Guide was spot on in telling us what we were seeing and stories about it. Learned much more than we would have with a guide book. One of th best travel apps we have ever used.

He was accurate on how he directed us on where to go in the Hawaiian National volcano park. Provided some fantastic historical knowledge base. Will definitely use them again. Enjoy Hawaii!

This was a great, cost effective, tour. The "guide" was entertaining and gave us lots of good information and fun stories, so we feel like we really completely experienced the park.

Best $2.99 I've ever spent.

We used it for the Haleakala, Road to Hana, & Volcano National Park (Big island) tour. It's a must have & worth every penny. With 3 kids in the car, it kept them/us entertained with very little complaining while driving, as well as educating all of us. We used the Gypsy Guide for traveling around Kona & Hilo because Shaka hasn't made one for that yet (get on it), but much preferred this guide over the other one because of the native speaking & it seemed more relevant with more interesting stories. Awesome!

I first downloaded the road to Hana guide and had it playing with my family. We loved that guide so much that we bought this one for Hilo. Worth every penny. Great stories, very informative, even some music when there's not much to see. Highly recommend if you are doing the drive yourself.

We got the volcano guide and it was amazingly good. It also helped keep the kids quite and interested during the drive. I only wish we had started sooner as we got there after the visitor center was closed and too dark to go on the hikes.
