Showr —home screen photos&RSS for Android
Perfect app for putting pictures on your home screen. Doesn't do much else, but you can link sites and apps. Suggestion: Add the ability to change how the picture fits in the frame.
Thank You! It worst just like I want it to
doesnot work. especially everything theysaid they fixed
I love it. Its mad lit fam
Perfect. I use it for my timetable
Cool no problems at all :)
Works well, helpful
easy to use
Great app
Great other than the fact that you can only have three.
I needed an app for capturing images from web cams and weather forecast sites. I thought Showr would be ideal for this use, but was having problems inputting the URL into the widgets. An email to the developer and a prompt reply guaranteed a quick and easy method to program my widgets. Kudos for the performance of this app and also the developer's excellent support. I understand Showr can do much more than I am asking of it right now, so I'm sure it will handle the bulk of my home screen image
Once you add a widget you can change the size and shape. I now have a screen of just photos. Easy to use and lots of options to pull pictures from (though I am only using the Photos app). Found this one on the website Stack Exchange.
Ive been using this everyday for the past 2 weeks and so far it has never failed me. I use it to get a live update from my favourite tumblr blog.
I'm using it to have images on my home screen automatically updated. App serves it well
Wanted a tumblr widget that displayed my dashboard for months, even tried making my own, and here it is.
Finally found working and configurable widget for this. Thanks!
Easy to use, just what I wanted
But then after only using it for 3 photos, it required me to upgrade. I didn't even get to try it for more than a few minutes. So I don't know if it's one of those ones that loses the picture all the time, or crashes every time you reboot your phone. I'm not going to pay for an app that I don't KNOW works well. I would not recommend this app.
I needed to put a timetable I had in image form as a widget. So much more convenient than having to keep going to gallery. It's the simple things in life..
Bought for flickr photos team display, non obvious what is expected in the URL.
Great other than the fact that you can only have three.
I can't zoom in on a part of a photo to be seen in the widget. If I click on the photo widget and get a full size image, I can zoom, but I want a portion of a photo to be what is seen in the frame. Also it'd be nice to have framing options. For $5, I'm pretty sure I could have gotten a better widget.
doesnot work. especially everything theysaid they fixed
Galaxy S4 w/ Kit Kat. I see no indication within the Gallery that it knows this app exists, and the app when run says no widgets installed.
I use the app to put some weather maps on my phone's desktop.
I like it because it is minimal and easy to configure… to be more specific: I love the Tumblr and StackExchange helpers. Especially since I had been looking for a nice way to display SE-badges on my homescreen for a long time. To be honest, I liked *showr* that much that I got myself the pro version so that I can add 10 different StackExchange and StackOverflow flair-badges on my desktop, to get my blog's RSS feeds latest picture displayed, and to enjoy the other pro functionality (cropping etc.) which - from my point of view - really puts a cherry on this app.
I can't find the widget. It's not in my widgets tab! EDIT: this is awesome! I went pro.
Great other than the fact that you can only have three.
Nice
What a great app, perfect in fact.
This is awesome no problems for me everything works great I'm glad to have found and be using this and for this to be the free version and it have a pro the free version is awesome so I'm sure you couldn't go wrong with the pro. Thanks for this awesome app.
Very good program.
Maybe it does what it says but I'm not gonna pay to find out!
Does what it says and is nicely configurable. Love it!
As in "it shows you things", not "it runs water on your head".
I needed an app for capturing images from web cams and weather forecast sites. I thought Showr beta would be ideal for this use, but was having problems inputting the URL into the widgets. An email to the developer and a prompt reply guaranteed a quick and easy method to program my widgets. Kudos for the performance of this app and also the developer's excellent support. I understand Showr beta can do much more than I am asking of it right now, so I'm sure it will handle the bulk of my home screen image display tasks.

Like the app that I paid for pro version.... just disappointed for my £2.70 all i can do is crop image and that automatically done, would of expected more edit functions for the pro and especially the price
