Акф. Тихону Московскому

Тихон родился в семье сельского священника Торопецкого уезда Псковской епархии. Детские и юношеские годы его прошли в деревне, в непосредственном соприкосновении с крестьянством и близости к сельскому труду. С юных лет он отличался особой религиозной настроенностью, любовью к Церкви и редкой кротостью и смирением. Учился Василий в Псковской Духовной Семинарии. В 23 года окончил Санкт-Петербургскую Духовную Академию и в светском звании получил назначение в родную Псковскую Духовную Семинарию преподавателем. Стремясь своей чистой душой к Богу, он вел строгую, целомудренную жизнь и на 26-м году жизни принял монашество. Из Псковской Семинарии иеромонаха Тихона перевели инспектором в Холмскую Духовную Семинарию, где он вскоре стал ее ректором в сане архимандрита. На 34-м году жизни, архимандрит Тихон был возведен в сан епископа Люблинского с назначением его викарием Холмской епархии. Епископ Тихон ревностно отдавался работе по устройству нового викариатства, а обаянием своего нравственного облика он приобрел всеобщую любовь не только русского населения, но и литовцев и поляков.
Тихон был направлен для несения ответственного служения за океан, в далекую американскую епархию. Возглавляя Православную Церковь в Америке, архиепископ Тихон много сделал в великом деле распространения Православия, в благоустройстве своей огромной епархии, в которой он учредил два викариатства, и в постройке храмов для православных русских людей. А любовным ко всем отношением, в частности, в устройстве дома для безвозмездного приюта и питания бедняков-переселенцев из России, он завоевал всеобщее уважение. Американцы избрали его почетным гражданином Соединенных Штатов. После вернулся в Россию.
После Февральской революции и сформирования нового Синода владыка Тихон стал его членом. Был избран и председателем Собора. Став во главе русских иерархов, Патриарх Тихон не изменился, он остался таким же доступным, простым, ласковым человеком. Все, соприкасавшиеся со Святейшим Тихоном, поражались его удивительной доступностью, простотой и скромностью. Широкую доступность Святейшего нисколько не ограничивал его высокий сан. Но мягкость в обращении Святейшего Тихона не мешала ему быть непреклонно твердым в делах церковных, где было нужно, особенно в защите Церкви от ее врагов.
Руководить Церковью ему пришлось среди всеобщей церковной разрухи, без вспомогательных органов управления, в обстановке внутренних расколов и потрясений, вызванных всевозможными «живоцерковниками», «обновленцами», «автокефалистами». Ситуация осложнялась и внешними обстоятельствами: сменой политического строя и приходом к власти богоборческих сил, голодом, гражданской войной. Это было время, когда отбиралось церковное имущество, когда духовенство подвергалось преследованиям и гонениям, массовые репрессии захлестнули Церковь Христову. Со всех концов России приходили к Патриарху известия об этом.
Своим исключительно высоким нравственным и церковным авторитетом Патриарх смог собрать воедино распыленные и обескровленные церковные силы. Своими посланиями он звал народ к исполнению заповедей Христовой веры, к духовному возрождению через покаяние. А его безукоризненная жизнь была примером для всех.
Святителю Тихону Московскому молятся об излечении слепоты, глухоты, дефектов речи, хромоты и психических заболеваний, об укреплении веры, о вразумлении неверующих и сектантов. Tikhon was born in the family of a village priest Toropetzkaya district of the Pskov diocese. Children and youth were held in his village, in direct contact with the peasantry and the proximity to rural labor. From a young age he was distinguished by a special religious sentiments, love for the Church and rare meekness and humility. Vasily studied at the Pskov Theological Seminary. At age 23, he graduated from St. Petersburg Theological Academy and secular rank was assigned to native Pskov Theological Seminary teacher. In an effort to clean his soul to God, he led a strict and chaste life, and on the 26th year of his life became a monk. From Pskov Seminary priesthood Tikhon transferred inspector Kholmsk Seminary, where he soon became its rector archimandrite. In the 34th year of life, Archimandrite Tikhon was consecrated Bishop of Lublin on his appointment as vicar of the diocese of Chelm. Bishop Tikhon zealously given to work on the device of the new vicariate and charm his morality he has acquired not only a universal love of the Russian population, and Lithuanians and Poles.
Tikhon was sent to bear the responsibility of serving overseas, a distant American diocese. As head of the Orthodox Church in America, Archbishop Tikhon did much in the great cause of the spread of Orthodoxy in the improvement of its vast diocese, in which he established two vicariate, and in the construction of temples for the Orthodox Russian people. A loving attitude to all, in particular, in a device for home gratuitous shelter and nutrition of the poor immigrants from Russia, he won universal respect. Americans elected him an honorary citizen of the United States. After he returned to Russia.
After the February Revolution and the formation of the new Synod of Bishop Tikhon became a member. He was elected and the chairman of the council. Having led the Russian bishops, Patriarch Tikhon has not changed, it remains as an affordable, easy, gentle man. All that is in contact with the Holy Tikhon, amazed by his remarkable accessibility, simplicity and modesty. The wide availability of His Holiness did not limit his high rank. But the softness in the Conversion of Saint Tikhon did not prevent him from being inexorably firm in the affairs of the church, where it was needed, especially in protecting the Church from its enemies.
He had led the Church amidst the general devastation of the church, without the support of management, in a situation of internal splits and turmoil caused by all sorts of "Living Church", "Renovators", "autocephalists." The situation was complicated by external circumstances: the change of the political system and the rise to power of the godless forces, famine, civil war. It was a time when the church property were selected, when the clergy are harassed and persecuted, mass repression swept the Church of Christ. From all over Russia came to the Patriarch of the news about this.
His exceptionally high moral and ecclesiastical authority of the Patriarch was able to piece together the scattered forces of the church and bloodless. His message, he called the people to fulfill the commandments of the Christian faith, a spiritual revival through repentance. His flawless life was an example for all.
