Акф. Борису и Глебу

Святые благоверные князья-страстотерпцы Борис и Глеб — первые русские святые, канонизированные как Русской, так и Константинопольской Церковью. Родившиеся незадолго до Крещения Руси святые братья были воспитаны в христианском благочестии. Старший из братьев — Борис получил хорошее образование. Он любил читать Священное Писание, творения святых отцов и особенно жития святых. Под их влиянием святой Борис возымел горячее желание подражать подвигу угодников Божиих и часто молился, чтобы Господь удостоил его такой чести. Святой Глеб с раннего детства воспитывался вместе с братом и разделял его стремление посвятить жизнь исключительно служению Богу. Оба брата отличались милосердием и сердечной добротой, подражая примеру святого равноапостольного великого князя Владимира, милостивого и отзывчивого к бедным, больным, обездоленным.
Жизнь святых страстотерпцев была принесена в жертву основному христианскому доброделанию — любви. Святые братья сделали то, что было еще ново и непонятно для языческой Руси, привыкшей к кровной мести — они показали, что за зло нельзя воздавать злом, даже под угрозой смерти. Святые мученики Борис и Глеб отдали жизнь ради соблюдения послушания, на котором зиждется духовная жизнь человека и вообще всякая жизнь в обществе.
Святым и благоверным князьям Борису и Глебу молятся об умиротворении Отечества, о добром нраве властей и правителей, о сохранении от междоусобицы, о даровании мужества перед лицом смертельной опасности. Both brothers differed mercy and kindness of heart, imitating the example of St. Apostolic Grand Duke Vladimir, gracious and responsive to the poor, the sick, the destitute.
Life is holy martyrs had sacrificed basic Christian good works - love. The holy brothers did something that was so new and incomprehensible to pagan Russia, accustomed to blood vengeance - they have shown that it is impossible to render evil for evil, even under threat of death. The Holy Martyrs Boris and Gleb gave their lives for the sake of respect for obedience, which is based on the spiritual life of man, and in general all life in society.
Holy and Blessed Prince Boris and Gleb pray for the pacification of the Fatherland, the good disposition of the authorities and the rulers, the preservation of civil strife, the gift of courage in the face of mortal danger.
