Your Rubbish helps all residents and students living in Coventry know what, when and how to recycle and dispose of their waste.
Do you ever forget to put your bins out? Maybe you’re sometimes unsure whether to put out the blue lidded recycling bin or the brown lidded garden waste bin? Or are you ever unsure whether you can recycle certain items of rubbish?
Your Rubbish can help with all this and more:
§ Collection reminders – you can set up reminders so you’ll receive a notification every week to remind you of which bins to put out, and when to bring them back in
§ What goes where? - an alphabetical list of common household wastes, with information about how to recycle or dispose of them
§ What items to put in each type of bin
§ General information about bin collections
§ Find out how to dispose of items of waste at the Household Recycling and Re-use Centre, how to arrange for a bulky waste collection, or find your nearest charity shop
§ Cancelled collections - if bin collections are cancelled for any reason, such as heavy snow, the app will let you know not to put your bins out
§ How to report a missed bin collection.

In theory, this is an excellent idea. I was looking for an app like this about a year ago when I moved house but the collection dates are wrong. My next collection is 18th October and is a garden bin day. It's telling me next collection is 26th October and they are collecting all 3 bins.

This app is fantastic as it gives you useful reminders when to put bins out and bring them back in (also knows which bins on which days!). Great reference when your unsure if something can be recycled as well!

Its a well set out app thats easy to use BUT told me to put my bins out at 11.06 on the collection morning when one lot of bins had already been emptied!! Good job I had put them out the night before as usual!!

The app has a great design and is easy to use, but the collection days in the app do not match the councils website or the actual collection days. Fix this and it will be a 5 star app.

Good idea and helpful as a quick reference for what goes where. However it gives my next collection day as the week after it actually is, and shows a garden bin collection on 30th November although garden collections have stopped. Can't rely on the dates unfortunately.
