Just checked back in today to see if it is fixed... still completely unusable for watching the news live! Any plans to fix this?

Great for local news, but asks for too many permissions. Full screen mode does not fit.

The image does not fill the screen on my device. 11/18/17 UPDATE: Today's latest update only fixed half the ongoing viewability problem on Android. The ad banner has been removed from the bottom of the screen, but the blue "Watch News12 Live" banner at the top still takes up 1/4 of the screen. Selecting full screen mode does nothing except change the arrow indicators. We've been waiting a couple of months for this fix, and it's still not fixed! Cannot view video in landscape mode. I just downgraded my rating.

App is now ruined. Unviewable wide-screen mode due to large blue banner on top and advertising bar on bottom. No one using this app anymore. I am surprised the advertisers have not pulled out yet.

I dont know what you did to the app but it sucks. The video is only half the screen and when you select the wide view it get .2 cm bigger. And the live videos are always freezing. I can.never check the weather without having to back out and go back in at least 5 times

CRAPPIE ! Now even worse cant view news 12 live the banners at top and bottom stay in view cutting off most of the video tried evry display setting no help most annoying ! 11/07/2017 Still no fix Banners at top and bottom Block most of the view !!! The app doesn't work like it used to. Can't watch full screen on mobile. Not mobile friendly.

Once again am update that,has ruined the application. Traffic is now worthless and banner is bigger than ever.

The app consistently stops playing live video after 4-6 minutes of usage.

This app used to work great now you can't even full screen whoever has the bright idea to change the perfect app that you had before should be fired !!! Full screen or 1 star and please do not respond to me saying how to fix my prob the only fix is to make the app the way it was before This app is useless now

To the creators of this app.....there is no need to have the humongous blue News 12 banner across the top like that! It's covering a third of the screen on my galaxy S8. You need to fix this for the people that download your app because just as quick as we download.....we can delete it too!

Can you guys fix the hugh Banner on the live screen ??? Between the top and bottom, you can only see half a screen. And for the rep who responded , read the issue again. With both eyes. Or glasses for crying out loud.

Unwatchable. Huge blue banner at top and ad at bottom leave no room for picture. Does anybody test these things? (Samsung S6)

I downloaded this app so I can get NJ news on the go , but you need to / or have to create an account using your Xfinity or Time warner account .. I don't belong to either of these and nor will I sign up to them just to use this 3.9 rated app .. Oh well

This app doesn't let you view the whole screen. The ads stay at the bottom of the screen and there is a big blue bar across the top. I'm seriously thinking about deleting this and just watch it in TV. Because I like to read the bottom of my screen and watch the different scores and activities that's going on. You guys really need to fix this. Please remove the ads from the bottom and the blue banner from the top that says watch news12 live. If we are already watching it why have it there taking up the screen to the point that you have to keep scrolling I'll and down to watch what's going on because it's taking up half of the screen. PLEASE REMOVE THANK YOU PLEASE!!!

I didn't think this app could get any worse. But it sure did! I had some hope of this app improving with a new company. Instead it got substantially worse. Time to uninstall it.

Landscape view cuts off half the screen while portrait view is very small. Please redesign and test visibility on screens for better viewing.

Update Nov 2017 The bunch of amateurs coding this app have again failed to fix the issues with banners, full screen on news and traffic and weather because they want to blast advertising at you. You BROKE a reasonable app. Listen to your users!! Suggest folks email helpme@newsday.com (News12 parent company) and news12support@news12.com to try and get them to listen. UPDATE Sept 2017. The people that code this app are the biggest bunch of amateurs I've seen. They've screwed full screen functionality completely now presenting in a frame with huge banner blocking half the screen. They had fixed the prior issue below only to do this. Idiots... August 2017 They really have screwed this up. Removed the stop phone from sleeping permission so the phone now closes in the middle of watching something. Bunch of amateurs...

Once Upon a Time this app used to work but just seems to get worse every upgrade which is actually a downgrade Now the app just crashes all the time has to be refreshed and then one has to watch the commercials again before getting to any content extremely aggravating

Barely does it ever start, and when it does it requires a force stop of the app first. Once was a good app, now just taking up space.

Can only view in portrait. When you switch to landscape the giant ads block the video. Used to be good but latest version stinks.

You can't even watch the news in full screen . The top and bottom of the screenn are blocked off!!!

With new update can't view full screen with news 12 banner covering almost half of the screen, users must watch 30 seconds of ads to press play, then watch minutes of air ads to check the weather....CHEAP!!

Hate to register

Jumped through hoops just to get this installed and to recognize my username and password. Then it immediately and constantly pushes news updates for places 2 states away. Have to log in every time and then I can't get past the screen that wants to know what region of news I'm interested in. Bye bye to this crappy app.

News 12 used to be in HD. Not any more. Poor quality.

They ruined this app. Need to sign in every time & video no longer is HD..
