i-Clickr (Tablet Edition) for Android
This used to be a decent app. I could not get this to run with my Galaxy S tablet and and windows 7 pro. Stay away windows and android users, this app is really made for Apple devices.
I have used this several times for basic presentations and more advanced content. In all cases I have not been disappointed. I particularly like the track pad that allows you to "right click" and switch to another program using the task pad to control an on screen cursor. The pad takes some time to get use to but it is a nice feature. The response time between clicking and the slide advancing is minimal to none. Very nice app!
This is by far the best remote presentation app I've found. I've tried most of them all at this point. It works well (though a little difficult to set up a connection for a novice, I would guess) and has the features other apps of this sort do not have. I particular, the "notes" feature is the deal-maker. The ability to read powerpoint notes is EXTREMELY useful - and mandatory for my particular usage scenarios. I used this app to present an extensive course to a class over a two month period with very little issue. It worked very well. That all being said, it would be "perfect" if but for one simple (and seemingly obvious) missing feature: it has no landscape mode! Landscape mode is "Tablet 101" to me. What's the purpose of a tablet app that will not rotate? I use a Transformer Prime with keyboard dock. Yet, I cannot use the dock with i-Clickr because of the lack of landscape mode support. You simply MUST add landscape support to this app for it to earn its otherwise well-deserved 5 star rating. For now, it is a 4 star app for me. I will gladly change my rating when landscape mode is added. Hopefully that is coming soon! Otherwise you will not be disappointed.
I really like the software so far. I've tried most of the other's an kept coming back to this one. Only issue I have is that the text on the slides is very fuzzy and hard to read.
I have tried 3 other presentation apps, and this is by far the best. Connection was tricky in my situation (did not recognise my bluetooth dongle and no wifi router) but I managed to overcome this.
Best presentation remote! I love it.
I have been a user of the iOS version for a while and just had the need to use the Android version this week and it worked out great. In fact, the jump to feature seemed to work better.
I've been looking for a PPT remote designed for Tablet-use! And it has some power features which make the app very useful. The price is pretty steep though. Finally bit the bullet and got it, but it is very useful.
This was amazingly good and helpful when I was presenting in front of 30 people recently. I was wary about the price but at the end of the day I have to say I was quite pleased and felt the price was worth it. it was a little painful setting up the bluetooth initially but the rest was a breeze.
