About Night Mode OS
The use of smart phones recently showed that exposure to blue light before bed can distort your natural (biological) rhythms and cause inability to go to sleep.
The cause is the photoreceptor in your eyes, called Melanopsin. This receptor is sensitive to a narrow band of blue light in the 460-480nm range which may suppress Melatonin production - a hormone responsible for your healthy sleep-wake cycles. In experimental scientific studies it has been shown an average person reading on a tablet or smart phone for a couple of hours before bed time may find their sleep delayed by about an hour.
To reduce the phone's light effects on your eyes when used for hours, or in conditions of darkness or bright light to help minimize excessive harm to the eyes.
So we've developed this application so you can adjust the appropriate light in the most appropriate conditions, which you can read in the phone book or reading before bedtime can help you to overcome the eye damage.
