Nuimo for Android
Great product. Developers very supportive and quick to resolve issues.
When I first used my Nuimo there were some issues, but the latest round of updates have improved it's use considerably. The developers have listened to my feedback and helped troubleshoot my issues. One basic features it needs is the ability to delete a configuration, it seems once you connect something you're stuck with it. I'm looking forward to support for other services, like Tado thermostat.
Use it a lot. Getting better and better!
The team seems to work hard to improve both, the app and the firmware. Frequent updates make it better with every release! Seems to be on the right track!
Products great. Software is getting there. Fully supports my lifx bulbs and my sonos well!
Recent firmware fix my previous issues such as update of Nuimo firmware, sonos sensitivity.
Promised integration not delivered so not using.
To be fair, the hardware is amazing. Very well designed, feels very professional. Well done! The bad news: The integrations are nearly non-existent. My guess is Senic devoted all their energy into building this phenomenal piece of hardware and doesn't have the bandwidth to dedicate into the integrations. The hardware is 5 stars... but without the promised integrations it just a gorgeous paperweight. I hope after all the orders have shipped Senic starts directing their energies towards spurring 3rd party integrations and truly making the Nuimo a functional piece of kit.
Just does not do what the hype suggests it should do. Device and app are rubbish. Use the device as an ice hockey puck you'll have more fun
The Senic website lists numerous products and services the Nuimo is capable of integrating with. Apple TV, Samsung TV, Nest, August, etc. This app allows you to do none of those. You can control LIFX, Hue, Spotify, Sonia and a couple of others only. I've also tried the iOS and OS X version of the app - just the same. After waiting a long time for the hardware, it's very disappointing to see the promised integrations fail to materialise.
not sensitive enough - for sonos it's either ultra quiet or ear blasting loud on the next tick. get me an option to adjust the steps
Make like a hockey player and get the puck out of here Where to start... you have to have a smart device (iphone, ipad, android etc.) to act as a middleman. it has to have bluetooth enabled and have this app running. You can only pair with one device. I have four - an Android phone, a Nexus 7. iphone 5s and an ipad. Refuses to pair with the Nexus 7. Apple devices pair but cannot find my Sonos speakers. So only my android phone 'works'. Well, it did for a couple of hours. Next day no connection, and now when I connect sonos control just flat out doesn't work If you have multiple Sonos devices when you use the 'switch app' gesture to choose one you will have no idea whatsoever which one is (or isn't in my case) being controlled, since it uses the same icon for each (and the same icon which it uses for the smart devices 'Music' app control) On the latter point, if you have multiple 'audio' apps on your android phone (might be same on Apple?) e.g. Powerplay, BeyondPod, good luck trying to be specific about which one it controls Advetised gesture control has to be switched on/off. 'Support' is a few videos. Absolute doggo
I expected more after waiting 18 months. The integrations are limited to Play Music, Spotify, Soundcloud, Sonos music players and Hue/Lifx lights. There are many other integrations listed on the website, which are not supported by the app :( The app lets you add each service to your list multiple times for some reason. I had to setup and remove spotify integration several times before anything but volume controls would work. Also, the play/pause and next/previous actions will dismiss the now playing screen. For anyone upset about the app requiring location permission, this is ACTUALLY NECESSARY to properly work with bluetooth low energy devices on Android 6.0+
As mentioned making life easy is by having all integrations in .... Also having a great hardware is not enough...you really focus on software....

Works well but needs a little for control for Sonos devices I'd like to see... 1) Long press control (i.e. recognise a long press and do something different to a short press. 2) Cycle through sonos favourites Then combine these to allow the volume control to select the favourite you want (the name/icon of the favourite would have to show on the screen of the nuimo)
