SPMC for Android
Pretty solid, but a few issues remain. On my Nvidia Shield running marshmallow, continuous playback is occasionally interrupted (paused) for daydream to start while watching a long video. There are also A/V sync issues after a refresh rate switch, and it has crashed a few times when running in the background.
After this last update on my shield, SPMC is now crashing after stopping a video playing and going to the Android TV home screen. This was supposed to be completely fixed from the last update, which it did,...but, Now that bug is back again after updating. I'm very happy to hear that this is actively being developed. Kudos to Koying!
SPMC got a few new issues after 29 december update on Shield TV. 1.) BS Player subtitle plugin doesen't work anymore, because it says "streaming isn't supported?" 2.) Playing a DVD folder doesen't work anymore. 3.) Subtitle button on Yatse Remote is now gone, and if i stop a movie SPMC auto restarts the movie every time. 5 Stars because of previous working version.
Very Nice app. specially HD audio passthorugh One issue... please look into it i found some source links are missing in SPMC . i checked in kodi and i was getting more links. for example... in Release Hub add on under 4K movies , all movies has 2 sources where as in SPMC only one link showing. please fix it
Loving it. SPMC is my fallback since Kodi has moved on to version 17. SPMC is so much better than Kodi for those of us who use Amlogic devices. My M9 Pro TV box along with my HDHomeRun Prime is the center of my home theater and it's just awesome! I use SPMC to watch my subscription cable tv channels Through Live TV by way of the hdhomerun DVR client. An android TV box is better than your ISP provided cable box and is also a WAY smarter TV than your "smart tv." I'm very disappointed in the direction that Kodi is going though. The only notable thing that I can say about Kodi 17 is that they did fix the channel numbers issue in Live TV where the "use channel numbers from backend" in the Live TV settings selection doesn't work. Can't wait for the next update! You guys at SemperPax should include this fix in your next update. If you guys are gong to start using version 17, PLEASE keep the amcodec hardware acceleration! Keep up the good work guys :D
This is one of the best forks for android based boxes like the original kodi that is better on windows based and openelec is best on linux boxes. Spmc has many great features for android boxes such as the ability to force close this fork with out pulling the cord plus just back click minimize the fork. Frame rate with this fork is great and dolby and dts work great on my nvidia sheild love it keep up the great work best fork i have used just as many feature as openelec
Works perfect on Nvidia Shield, which is more than I can say for Android version of Kodi. Can't stand KODI 17, which is totally messed up, including blocking of certain apps. I hope and pray this program does not get based off of KODI 17 in the future, that new version of KODI is horrible to the max.
I've uninstalled Kodi 16.1 (pre-installed with my Nexbox A1) & installed Kodi 17 but both of them didn't satidfied me up to the mark. Having uninstalled Kodi Krypton, I've installed SPMC 29-DEC-2016 version & guess what? I'm more than satisfied with everything it has... Thanx to all :-)
The best version of Kodi available in my opinion. Enables DTS MA and True HD on Minix U1 and Shield. This is also a must for Amazon Firestick users as it enables Auto refresh rate change. Hopefully the development will continue
Works great on every android device I've installed it on. Looking forward to seeing where it's taken in the future. Rock solid on Shield. Well done devs.
Pretty good so far. But I think the screen shots need to be updated our added to as mine didn't look like that at all. I like the interface better then kodi as this I find more touchscreen friendly and this is updated more recently.
reliable substitute to kodi works fine on most devises but really needs a upgrade to work alongside kodi 17 great respect to developers nice job guys
Recently switched from fire stick to android box .Was having issues with official version 17 even with a 6.0.1 2gb ram box .This fork is definitely smoother and the way to go if you're using android.Plus the confluence mods work nicely with it
When KODI ver. 17 is officially out, will SPMC still continue to support ver. 16.1?
Great app but I thought this would be better than kodi for buffering as it is for android but I still get buffering, any ideas.
This app is great im using em95x ....but some channels work and some of them not its start after dec 29 but in general its great app yayyy
SBS stopped working after the last update, but crashes less now.
Been searching all my life for a way to playback my videos files with HD audio pass-through to my A/V receiver. Kodi couldn't do it. SPMC is the only player I know of that can do it on my Shield TV.
SPMC is an awesome app. I have used Kodi as well on an Android box, but this is much more stable. Thank you for the hard work!
Recently became extremely buggy. Specto constantly crashes it.
Superb, much more stable on my S905X android boxes than Vanilla kodi. Keep up the great work!
This app is so good I cancelled my netflix.
Specifically built for Android
Best option for Android TV if you are wanting to use KODI.
Things are getting a little bit better we'll just have to wait and see now though
This is kodi, but even better. My only concern is there's only one dev working on it.
Brilliant on my phone...but buffers a bit on my Android box.....not to bad....installing it on my phone was easy..but on my box....a bit fiddly....all done now....
U sux ma ballz.
5-stars for not updating like Kodi did with Krypton...F Krypton... please don't update
This is by far the best built platform for Android devices.Keep up the good work.
Very good
Echox not working
Good as backup for when kodi is pissing me off.
Spmc runs great on my nvidia shield...maybe even better than kodi
better than weed
DONT KNOW YET
Need to stop crashing
4k out, kodi not!
Nice. Seems faster thank kodi and better adapted to android

Seems to have alleviated a few audio problems that were occurring with some streams. MINIX are working on their own kodi fork but still not quite got the audio sorted yet. Very pleased with spmc, with thanks to the developer. Please keep your very much appreciated hard work on SPMC as Krypton is not an option, very buggy in my experience on my Android TV box.
