Simple Workout Log PRO Key for Android
Has all the features you need to track your workout without crammed full of stuff you don't need. I wish you could delete/edit exercises in a routine by long-pressing the exercise, instead of having the popup saying "press the + button to edit"
Works great since day 1. Only thing I would ask for is the ability to plan workouts in advance by date rather than routine and have it automatically tell you what you're doing that day. Easy to work around though. I don't get how superset feature is supposed to work though.
Nice simple app, does exactly what I need it to - love it. Was recommended to me by my personal trainer so there's a decent endorsement. Only thing I'd like now is a notification when I've got a new Epley 1RM record when I add a set. That'd be really motivational! Thanks for this brilliant app.
I have used many workout tracking apps either on ios and Android. This one by far blows them away. Easy to use and has all the features that I want such as the rest timer and cloud storage. This one won't be getting deleted anytime soon.
Great app for tracking progress. Open enough and flexible enough for any exercise type. You are not limited to predefined exercises, and you can easily export your data or add older exercises (ie if you were praying with a different app before)
Clean and simple. Would love if it introduced an exercise type to support exercises registered by set and reps only, ie without weights. The obvious work-around is to simply set weights to zero, but still... The UI could also be spiced up a little. These shortcomings, however, are minor.
I love that the app keeps evolving. I wish it could sync to Dropbox so when I change phones, I don't lose everything. They have their own back up but I would prefer Dropbox.
The application I used to use is no longer updated. This app gets the job done if you're looking for a bare bones app. I do have to enter a lot of exercises I do, but once they've been added it's a non issue.
Best workout app. Tried a few that did not allow custom exercise name which complicated my workout since they did not cover all exercises. This app does ! Apart from that not much clutter as the name implies. Just hit start and start your daily routine. . .
A few suggestions navigation is a bit of a learning curve like setting up workout perhaps some first time prompts might help. Choice of colours like dark mode for interface, maybe links to youtube videos on how to perform some exercises. A larger collection of exercises in databases. HR tracker via bluetooth for say polar h7 to count calories burnt and integration to MyFitnessPal. but early days the app is simple and does the job well.
If you're serious about fitness, making gains, and all other goals associated with the gym, this app is great. However, there are a few things to improve. Like multi-window views for combined workouts, being able modify workouts between cardio & strength training. Nevertheless, awesome app & it keeps me on track while it allows me to monitor my gains and lbs increase/decrease.
Best app , have tried others that look fancy. But keep coming back to this one. Its a practical app! And practical beats impractical any time. Its like paper and pencil, quick and easy. The upgrade to the calendar was good. But it would be great if you could press on the day and pre-program a schedule workout. As well as add warm-up sets for user selected exercises. And weight increment options. Other than that, I don't think you could find a better app. P.s. Buy the pro version to keep upgrades coming.
I have been able to easily keep track of my lifts since I started using this app. The interface is simple and easy to understand. The only thing that needs improvement is the lists of available exercises but with the feature that allows you to add it yourself it's nothing serious.
Threw away my notebook and carry my phone around in the gym. Great alternative to Excel and plotting. You can jump forward and back up to 1 year to the day you worked out and see everything you did with 'Total Weight Lifted', total reps, notes, etc. Easy entry during workouts, export/import to a csv file. I like the built in timer beteeen sets so you don't rest too long.

Very basic but that's where it shines. Easy to navigate during a workout. I have changed my exercises during a routine, then used my PC and the online account to add and delete the exercise later. I could recommend some minor tweaks but they may not work for the next user.
I use it constantly. Added a lot of my own exercises and created categories and routines with those exercises with ease. I hope more people start using this app so the developer's can get paid and then they can continue adding features.
As always... love this app. Great workout tool. However, for some reason, my Superset function is not working. There are no arrows at the top (or elsewhere) of a superset exercise to allow me to move between the exercises that have been linked for a superset. Please advise. Thank you.
I haven't found any others that fit my needs. This one works really well. It's not the prettiest app but it does what you need it to. I log all of my workouts and weekly weigh-ins. History on each exercise is really helpful. Recommended.
Best ever app better than 5 x 5 strong lift. You can adjust exercises, routine, to what's works for you, every workout program especially the fixed ones don't work for every one. God loves you Simple Work Out and so do I
I had 6 devices with this app and every time I install it it does not show up on phone yet it is there to Uninstall in goole play. I'm sick of this fake app
Previously, I'd track exercises/sets on paper which was often a hassle. I'd print out the daily workout log, enter values during my routine and then transfer these entries into a spreadsheet at a later time. Too much time! This app does it all in one fell swoop for me. I highly recommend giving this a try if you like tracking your progress and you're currently using a log book, spreadsheets or some other inferior application.
Would have gave the previous version 5stars. Update made things more difficult and time consuming. When u run a routine u can't copy and paste from your history. It just stops working and drops u out of your routine. U have to log back into your routine and Start over. I agree with Jason the location of the + button not the best. Expected the update to be an improvement. I wish I didn't update. Previous worked great.
Can download a list of exercises and enter your own. Dead easy to record weights, sets and reps. Quick entry of data does not disrupt your workout. Not cluttered up with suggested routines, diet advice or daft videos; it's an app for those who know what they're doing. Brilliant.
Now that there was a redesign, when you are in an exercise and want to click + to add another set, the + button is mostly hidden by the keyboard, which requires you to scroll down to use it. Not handy.
I love that I can create my own exercises or download popular exercises. I can create different routines for different types of workout. Wouldn't even consider trying anything else! Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3
Hands down the best tool for tracking my workout. Simple, elegant, effective. Avoid all those other gimmicky apps inundated with features. Instead, focus on your workout for results and use this app to track your progress.
After logging my gym workouts with pen and paper I started to wish for an app that could do it for me. I tried various apps but the problem was that they were too complex or had some major problems with the UI. When I'm at the gym I want to focus on training, not staring at my phone and trying to figure out which button to press. This is the best gym log app out there if you want something simple that works perfectly!
Just discovered History->long press->copy. Doesn't get much better! I've tried them all and only bought this one. 'nuff said.
Its a workout log. The free version had everything I wanted. Upgraded to Pro just so I could thank them. I've been using it for 2 years. Keeps getting better and better.
Love the app, so simple and easy to use. One feature request though, show which exercises in a routine have been completed in case the routine is out of order due to equipment being unavailable at a certain time.
This is by far the best recording app I've found! The fact that you can set it to open without going through your lock screen makes this a 5 star app!
Simple, elegant, motivating. Just what you need to keep track of your progress while working out. Love it.
The app works fine but I don't like how you have to install two different apps. It took me a few minutes to realize that I had to have both the apps installed to have ads removed. I'd prefer it be one app & not two..I'd say 85% of people never read the description of an app so they just install assuming it will work. I did say the app worked but it requires two apps installed which is why I rated it low regardless of what the description says. This is a fair review.
6/2013...The best no nonsense app for serious weight training individuals out there. This app has given my workouts better direction & helped me achieve more personal bests on a regular basis. As essential to my workout as my music. Thanks a million guys!! Kudos! **UPDATE 10/30/15** Still LOVE this APP, nothing out there comes close IMO. Every update amazes me. Just when I think it can't get any better they do it! Keep up the great work guys & THANK YOU!
I've been using this app for 3 years. It is so clean and easy to use. I love the simplicity which is not unlike my workouts. I get in and get out and this app helps me to do that. This app is perfect for the experienced gym rat that knows what they need to do and can now leave the notebook at home. I would like to see a journal feature though. I like that I can make notes on each exercise, but at times I'd like to be able to make a note about the whole day, especially if I don't make it to the gym at all.
Love the ease of use and basic format. Too many workout apps insist on recommending their installed programs. This one allows me to customize and track my workouts. Would be cool if it synced up with My Fitness Pal, but I'm still happy with it.
My Y quit Fitlinks so I needed a way to track my weights and cardio. This works!
Can you please add an option for each workout where you can add target sets and reps. Something to remind us each set what the sets and reps are.
