I really enjoyed it when I got it but then it git to a point where the wait time was 72 days. When i finally remembered to go on i was given a 5 question quiz on numbers after that it said my wait time was 3 years WTH. deleting it now don't bother with this, you can teach yourself before this game will ever help you.

by Q####:

Joining a family that has a deaf parent. I'm now able to catch part of what is being said. But now a month or so later I want to learn more but the app keeps telling me to wait. Today it asked me 3 questions then said I have to wait 2 days. At first it was a 5 star now I give it a 1 star because it won't let me go further.

Q70%
by Q####:

The basic app is good, but the forced waits are ridiculous. Fingerspelling is not like learning state capitals, where you just want to know the Information. It is a skill in which you want to develop speed. Waiting 2 days to be quizzed on 10 letters, followed by having to wait 2 hours to be quizzed on just 1, followed by another forced 2 day wait will not get me to the skill level that I am looking for within my life expectancy.

by R####:

I like it so far. The wait times are a bit too long for me personally. Maybe a mini game or two to play while you wait to practice fingerspelling again. Overall, though, I love the app. The timer makes me answer before I have a chance to question myself, making the fingerspelling be as fluid as speaking.

Y70%
by Y####:

When I first installed it I thought it was very simple and effective. But the more I used it, it began inserting these longer wait delays which became counter productive. I would like an option to disable the "factoid waits". Also, it would be very useful if I could select an option that gave more difficult multiple choice options. For example, when you display the image for either M, N or S, then only offer multiple choice options for M, N or S. Otherwise I found this very useful.

Q70%
by Q####:

Starts out with basics like the alphabet. What I Don't like is the waiting. I know it's part of the app to help you, but some waiting times are ridiculously long. It gave me 2 letters: "E" and "G". I now have to wait 1 day for more. Its easy to learn with app but some stuff I can't do. The thumb on the person is long. For the letter "P" it's difficult for me to do because the person can reach their thumb to the same size as their pointer finger. I am NOT trying to be rude criticizing someone.

At first I loved the app. The idea of waiting between lessons isn't a bad one but the way it's set up is. The lessons should be longer the 2-3 questions especially if I'm waiting 27 days. The timer shouldn't start until the picture is fully shown!

Q70%
by Q####:

I love this app. It is helping me brush up on my finger spelling...however the long wait time is not so great. To start with it was only a few minutes...I now am waiting 16 days! App is great waiting stinks...

H70%
by H####:

It's cool and I get that they want you to wait before reminding you and all but the wait is to long while the practicing is so short. If I can get more time to practice and less waiting time rate will go up.

Q70%
by Q####:

It is so fast to learn and it's fun. I like how repetitive it is and how it shows you along the way. It's nice to apply it after. But it needs to have words and show us how to put them together.

H70%
by H####:

Its ok but all ive done is letters and # and now i have to wait 26 days till nect lesson. But i do like how im actually learning so unlike with other things ive tried when trying to learn sign language so.

N70%
by N####:

I am born hearing but I got lost my left hear and I was 3 old years, I go to arkansas school for the deaf. But still I am going to deaf school. Because I love to learn sign language.

Q70%
by Q####:

Waiting time between lessons are terrible. Few minutes was okay. 1 or 2 hours... OK fine, but now 18 hours?! I'm about to uninstall the app and download some other one

Q70%
by Q####:

22 days is to long to wait. I would like to keep practicing. Why would o have to wait a month to continue. I would put 0 stars if it was an option

Q70%
by Q####:

When it comes to learning to fingerspell this has been a good practicing tool. The learning is rather passive and even if you pass that does not always mean you can do everything that you practiced. The cool down is slightly condescending. It's nice to know the program thinks you have practiced enough but it would be nice if you could still continue regardless.

P70%
by P####:

I understand that there have been studies about the time in between sessions but for someone who is using this as a learning aide or as a supplement to learning, 27 days between lessons after only having the app for a week is ridiculous.

Q70%
by Q####:

Perfect for learning the basics of ASL and really helps you get it down: letters, numbers, and colours and a variety of them. I'd say be careful of which hand you use as it might use the opposite but that's not too hard to figure out and it charges for phrases above colours but offers more for a relatively low price, though I wouldn't pay but look for another app at that point or go on YouTube where there are helpful videos for free. Great app! You'll feel great after mastering some basics of another language! :)

Q70%
by Q####:

I really liked it at first. But then I had to wait 2 hours just to answer one question. Now I have to wait a day to answer more. Not what I had in mind. Was hoping to actually practise and memorize, wasn't expecting to answer one question at a time with hours spaced in between. Uninstalling.

Q70%
by Q####:

Great app that allows you to pick up ASL quickly. Only thing is I wish there was a place where we can review the hand signs (I.e the alphabet) for when you're practicing on your own and can't remember a letter.

My sister is deaf and she can't talk and it scared me that she deaf and she know how to do asl and I love her so much but it is hard to believe that she is deaf and she will be 12 in august 31 this year but she is 11 right now but I am happy that I know asl and you have fun with asl think you all

Q70%
by Q####:

I typically have very hard time memorizing things, but I was able memorize the entire alphabet and numbers 0-10 in just one night. I would highly suggest this app to anyone looking to learn, but have doubts in their ability. It introduces new information at just the right rate to make it stick. Awesome!

Q70%

Learning to speak with my sister in law, as well as for work. Always helpful! Waiting nearly a month for this....I can understand a day or two but 27 days is ridiculous.

W70%
by W####:

Learning ASL with my family. The timer is great. Does not give you a chance to second guess yourself. Don't really understand the wait times, though.

Q70%
by Q####:

Love the app, but the wait is ridiculous. I didn't have time to finish the whole lesson at once. So I got back to it the next day only to find out that had to wait 1-2min for each letter and than after like3-4 letters had to wait 2hours before I could continue. My time is valuable, when I am ready to learn I learn dont want to wait every freaking minute to do one stupid letter. It's even worse as you progress, uninstalling.

Q70%
by Q####:

Is a month really necessary? Ill forget everything by then! It's ridiculous if u ask me. Other than that I enjoy it.

N70%
by N####:

I'm been wanting to learn ASL for a long time, I always thought I had to take a class at the college or something. But with this app it really lets me get the foot in the door and realize I can be self-taught. And this app is a great start to that

Q70%
by Q####:

Tried to learn letters and after getting it correct one time it locks the letter away! The only way to actually learn the shapes is just to answer wrong every time so it doesn't accidentally think you've mastered the letter. I really liked it until it stopped working. If the timer was removed I would actually have a chance to learn the letters. I wish i could pay a dollar and just learn at my pace, instead of some arbitrary algorithm telling me what i do and dont know.

H70%
by H####:

Great refresher for me on the alphabet & numbers 1-10. Very clear hand & finger positions. Having longer pauses between signs is great for ingraining it in my memory. Already much better than the college course I took. I look forward to learning new signs.

I get that waiting a short period of time for a new lesson is a good thing but it got longer and longer between lessons it went from hours to days. At first a was really excited about the app but now I'm going to find another app or possibly take a class instead.

C70%

Its good for a person that is not hearing and for people that are hearing so they can talk to people that are not hearing and just in case we get snatched up by someone we can talk to each other with our hands and figure out a way to get out so yeah like I was saying its good for hearing and not hearing and there as on why I don't like it is cause u have to wait a looooooooong time Omg I might uninstall it uhhhh...KIAH

My signing is getting better already! Just confusing my 6 and 9s and my "S'' and "A"... lol

Q70%
by Q####:

Download and install no complications. Repetitions helping a lot for learning and memorizing. Wait times a bit annoying but necessary for brain and memory to be successful

W70%
by W####:

The app forces you to wait. It's really annoying and inconvenient.

Q70%
by Q####:

Overall I like the app. I wish the timer didn't start until they word is finished being spelled so I can watch every single sign/letter before trying to beat the timer. I don't mind the short wait times (minutes, hours, even 1 day) but 30 days before I can practice more? I'd rather free up the space on my phone than keep an app that's literally of no use for an entire month.

F70%
by F####:

But, I need more practice between signs like: w, 3 ,6, and f. Also, I need more questions with choices that all start with same letter. I get good test results (and then too little practice) even if I dont get the whole word right.

Q70%
by Q####:

the diploids are too long... I now have to wait a year until i can practise again.

Q70%
by Q####:

As far as finger spelling goes this app did what if claims and send to work well too help strengthen memory. That being said, the pressure to pay makes the fun part a short lived event.

F70%
by F####:

Great app, but the longer you use it the less practice you can get. I get 3 questions in 24/48 hours.. This sucks.. Other than that it is great and i would even consider.getting the expansions

W70%
by W####:

The wait makes it unproductive for the actual need. Would be good without the wait times.

N70%
by N####:

This app is great. The repetitions kick my brains butt, however lol I like the style of app design and it's fun and easy to use it:)
