Only 7 days passed from installation and the result was freaking hilarious

I've had this app for a day but it won't record any audio, I checked my permissions and I have it so it records audio and I lowered the owly limit to 120, any help,?

It would be great to have a setting for recording frequency. Some occasions, I'd like to be able to set it for 10 or 15 mins. Or even random. Like set a minimum and maximum number of minutes it waits to record again so it's more unpredictable. I already am becoming aware of when it will be recording. But I like the limit of ten second clips.

Sometime last month Owly stopped working on my phone saying that "something went wrong when loading days" I've tryed erasing data, stopping the app and reinstalling but it still doesnt work.

I was favoriting the recordings I liked thinking the wouldn't be deleted, why would they? And today I checked my phone and found out I had to favorite an ENTIRE DAY in order to not delete one recording. What the hell? Two weeks of invaluable events gone forever.. Come on devs. Why would I want to save an entire day of recordings into my phone's limited storage because I liked a few of them?

The look and feel of this app is great, and the recording works well too, but one thing that's killing it for me is the low number of recordings it seems to take. One day the app didn't record anything between 7am and 7pm. (which happened to be when I was hoping it would the most) It'd be great to be able to set a minimum number of recordings per day or per hour.

Used almost a month, never caught anything. Mostly background noise. Whenever it catches a conversation, recording stops after a few seconds. Its a total 10 second recording but after a few seconds it just stops, no sound at all. Well, i uninstalled it because its useless, after almost a month of testing. The idea is good though.

Good: concept, least battery usage, location tagging Bad: proprietary recording format, metallic noise in recordings, not linked to a central account

No bugs, works great. Surprised this app has gone unnoticed. Love it.

Interesting concept, give me some amazing short recordings of what I do during the day. But the recordings are not perfect, they sometimes get cut off and have clicks and bangs (clearly a defect of the recording process).

How often does Owly record? I've had it installed for 12 hours and I don't have anything yet.

After using Owly for a few days, I'm dissapointed to find that virtually all the recordings get cut off after less than a second, then it's just silence for the remainder of the 30 second clip. Additionally, the audio that does record is distorted with heavy pops & clipping (which is odd since I use my voice recorder frequently without any issues). Still a 3 star app for the concept. ***also, there's no way to disable the app, so I am forced to uninstall. Unfortunately unusable on my Note 2 right now.

Cool idea, Unfortunately 99% of what it records for me are noises from transit (bus and subway) and rarely any talking or other unique sounds. I'm in conference rooms and meetings for most of my work yet none of that seems to get recorded.

Simple, efficient and funny. There's no bells and whistles with this app, and there's no need for them. Wonderfully easy to use and fun to listen back to. Love it!

But could you clarify how to calibrate properly? It says default is 180 Owls but in silence even me breathing sharply sends it past "will record."

Great idea great app

I love the idea of this, but I wanted to put my favorite Owlys in my Dropbox; however the file extension is .1. There is also an issue where I can't share my Owlys with my friend even though he has made an account and he is in my phone book. I will update my review once I can share across platforms and share with friends easier. Please continue to support this. Edit: glad to see continued development. I'm adding a star.
