Outdated. My phone shows door is unlocked when it is actually locked. Then it shows locked when it's unlocked. I can't trust it. The while point of having it is to feel sure and secure.

12/21/17 This entire week App is hung up and will not respond. Cannot lock or unlock also still shows status from 2 days ago... 12/27/16 As of last update i cannot log into I cannot access this in one of my devices. Rather frustrating. Is there a fix coming in for this? This app is good...HOWEVER very buggy..all this week notifications would come in hours later instead of right away...also i guess when it rains it doesnt wanna work...idk wassup with that..pls address this

The app doesn't work most of the time. It gets out of sync with the actual alarm system so that it reports some of the zones are open when they aren't. Or it won't let you arm the system because it thinks the alarm system is in "entry delay" mode. If you call Protect America, they can help you sync up the alarm system with the app, but then it just gets out of sync again after a little bit of use. Feels like the app was poorly thought out and poorly built.

Most of the system I have works fine. One exception - the outdoor camera. It randomly drops offline without warning. There's no indication of an issue until you need to find an event and discover the camera disconnected 4 days ago. In addition,, when it does work it records everything. So you have to search through hours of video to find the activity your looking for. Not what you need in a security camera

The camera's 2 way voice comms does not work at all. I called the company 3 days ago and still not resolved. They will charge you full amount for half of the service you deserve or paying for. I recommend buying your own camera and monitor it yourself.

App is very buggy. It needs to be improved. I pay 50/a minth for the video service and everytime i go to view the camera the app crashes. To bad im locked in for 3 yrs :/

After I upgraded the software, I can't turn on alarm with my phone any more. It keeps saying zone is open and won't let me turn on the alarm but when I use the main panel to turn on it works fine. After that I can use my phone to turn off the alarm or turn on. This is a bug in the software. Please fix it as soon as you can. After talking to technicians, it works now. Thanks for all your help.

Although I do receive notifications on my phone as to when the system has been armed and unarmed, I have NEVER been able to use the app to do anything else. It controls absolutely nothing. I miss my old system and will be switching back as soon as my contract is up.

Playback of stored videos, with Android player, fails intermittently (buffer?) No Audio Alerts: With the newest version, when notifications appear, there is no audio alert. All of my other apps notify and alert properly. I'm currently using the "MegaSound beta" app to provide an audio alert for this app. Camera Video: Can you add 7 lines of code to the mobile app, so that when a camera view is "live" then the current Activity/Fragment rotation is not locked to "portrait"? (This is simple to implement in Android java. See: "setUserVisibleHint() for Fragments") This would allow users to mirror the phone's landscape video stream to their TV or Roku, without the video turned sideways on the TV, locked in portrait configuration.

Since the update there's no sound notifications or vibration. I was dumb enough to renew my contract because it would alert me to alarms as well as a few other blatant lies after the system failed to alert anyone when my house was broken into. I WOULD RECOMMEND JUST USING A YARD SIGN AS OPPOSED TO GOVING THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY AS THE SYSTEM IS JUST FOR SHOW ANYWAY!

I just want to be able to set my alarm from my phone when I leave my house.... Half the time it won't load or log in. Fine tune the basics of just setting the damn alarm before trying to advertise and incorporate all these other bells and whistles to the app. Please. Update: I made this comment this morning and received a call this evening from a protect America representative. He was super polite and helpful and resolved my app issue quickly. He also helped with other questions I had about my account and hardware. Thanks AJ! Because of you I'm changing this to 5 stars. Awesome customer support! Very pleased!

Anyone else having trouble getting the app to open? It does not want to open at all. This needs to be fixed immediately!!

They lie to you, drag you in, and do not respect you, simply want your money and that's it. I would give a 0 if possible.

This app and service is incredibly well built. Being to essentially control the security of my home for a touch of my phone is amazing. Never any problems logging in or slow processing...

This app stopped working one day, Protect America doesn't seem to care. Their answer is to just arm/disarm from the panel. Then what's the point of having the app?

No sound?! I thought it was my phone, but after reading other reviews it appears not. No issues with connectivity.

2 yrs down and still hating it more daily... App never works, they don't tell you all the info, and charge you to replace sensors when its supposedly all covered....

Works ok on my wife's Moto X with Android 6 but on my Pixel XL with Android 7.1.2 the arm/disarm buttons don't work the first time. You have to click arm/disarm, back out to the main menu and then try arm/disarm again and it will work.

It doesn't always communicate with the alarm. It did it first and three months down the road I cannot shut the system off with my app

App was great until they pushed updates earlier this year now notification does not sound now email notification stopped working. I have called 3 or 4 times about this app notification problem but just get the response they are working on this has been going on for about 8 months now . This company was rated one of the highest I will be looking for a new one I have been trying to get a indoor camera since January and keep being told that they are on back order , I got one a list to be called when they come in 9 months later still no call or camera. How can you provide a service when you don't have in your inventory what you advertise .

This app really sucks especially the video section. It takes forever to connect with video, cannot stream video, the screen black out after 45 seconds, playback on stored video footage is an headache, limited setting options for video alerts, video section not possible on Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browsers, live video only possible on Firefox browser but then live streaming is like pulling a tooth it lagged like 4 minutes. I wish I knew about this before I signed up to extend my contract for additional 2 years when the offer for camera coverage was offered to me.

I wish there was a way to make the notifications have sound. The icon is great, but I feel like I'm constantly looking at my phone. A chime would be fantastic.

Very slow.. have to wait for a long time outside the door to unlock.. takes a very long time to connect and many a times show system offline. Sometimes it shows system is armed where it is not and vice versa. They really need to work on this app and make it less frustrating for users.

No audio alerts with newest version of app, pls fix the bug and taking so long to upload from page to page, not like the older version of app..probably I need to look into other alarm company.

Lags a lot on both android and iOS especially when I arm and disarm. Sometimes it takes up to 20 min for the app to notify me after its been armed

It won't let me enter my username. Error says "Detected problems with app native libraries. Please consult log for details. Libzbarjni.so:text relocations. LibSDL2.so:text relocations"

Not getting push notifstions,or sound. I am paying an extra $10.00 per month for junk.Ready Shoot Aim. Go back to the older version, it worked.

I don't know why all of a sudden I can't get live video like I have been for the last several years! Not happy!

Doesn't allow multiple accounts, I have two alarms at 2 location and I have to sign out to view a different account

Works for maybe a month, and I have to uninstall, and re install. Worst app on my phone

This company is a joke with their app. It is constantly "offline"

Great design, poor functionality. Most of the time the app shows system offline and I know that it is not. Their website is reliable this app is glitch.

Constantly freezing up. This app is just an annoyance at this point.

Outdated just like the actual security system they supplied.

Live Chat was very helpful. The app and panel have worked great! Having Protect America in our house gives me a great sense of security.

App works smoothly. Easy to use and manage. Very informative when all of your sensors are labeled correctly.
