Samsung Internet Browser

Was using google chrome till the date, but as soon as updated the built in browser, now I don't want to use chrome any more. One of the best feature and no browser has brought yet is the availability of extensions to android browser. Was so annoyed by those ads, now I can surf adds free.. man really great work guys... keep it up..

Why the hell did you change it? I can't download anything anymore! I used to prefer this over any other web provider on my phone, but now all my downloads pend for hours, reset for some unknown reason, and certain links don't work. I guess since non of these comments actually matter to you ether way I'll just need to start using a different browser.

I've used Samsung phones for over 5 years but never used Samsung browser. But with Samsung Internet now on the Google play enjoying updates, this is now by best browsing app. Only one draw back for me though. Please give the toolbar the option to stay visible always. It's difficult having to scroll slightly every time I did to access it. Thumbs up and a 5 star never the less

I've been using chrome forever on Android, because naturally it makes sense that Google would build the fastest browser for the platform. But Samsung browser has been a very pleasant surprise! More features than chrome, feels faster and smoother if I'm honest, and integrates into my desktop browser to sync bookmarks and history.. I'm really enjoying this, but Google apps still integration of chrome browser is completely seamless.. ie opening a link in Gmail then opening in browser feels like it already happened, you just find yourself in chrome with 0.000s lag.

the app in general is good for the eye with a new overhaul of the interface. However, here's the catch why it's only getting 3 from me: the video reader is trash now. Instead of letting me watch a video online, it said download is starting but nothing is downloading. This is a major turn down since it affect some news website. Worst of all, it won't load webm type videos now. Samsung needs to fix this quick.

It's really good for general user... I think best. But Internet freak people may not go for it. Like torrent built in DLoder. It's a age of globalization.. There should be options for translation. Yes it good for shearing but there should be something more... Why should samsung go for edge screen in it.? Combination of essentials apps shortcuts. Like VPN, Facebook, speed display, network, weather etc.

Still the best browser that I've used, and I've used a lot! Adb+ adds great functionality. Latest update no longer brings my most recently used tab to the forefront of my tabs list, so your tabs are in the order that they were opened. I like being able to choose my tab order. Lost a star because of this loss in functionality. They do allow quick swiping between tabs, probably the reason why it doesn't reorder the tabs when you use one. Let me organize my tabs! It's already available on tablets...

IL be totally honest with samsung. I LOVED the old Internet app. Then the update came along and I can go into secret mode because my phones rooted?? And I can't download NCS of YouTube to Mp3. Apart from that it's an ok browser but wish the update hadn't been installed. I'm now using Chrome and it's now a lot better. If samsung can fix this I'll be REALLY HAPPY.

I don't understand why Samsung has forced this browser to be used in all of their apps. I can't even use the stock texting app because whenever I open a link it will open in this browser. I use Google Chrome on every other platform, as well as a huge number of Google Services, so I simply need to use Chrome. For some reason Samsung keeps finding new ways to force this browser into everything it can.

I used to use Opera for my web browser untill my phone auto update to this (I have Galaxy Core Prime)! Now this browser rander pages super fast, got ton of other features, add bloker ect. I recommend to everyone to give this just a try, you'll absolute love it!

The previous version was perfect. At this point I have 3 negatives about the latest version. Every time I return to my 1st tab from a 2nd I have to swipe slightly up to get rid of the address bar up top and home options at the bottom. The return to top button which appears for a few seconds is, in my opinion, placed in the wrong place. It should be left or right of screen. Finally it's slower than previous version. On a positive the media player i.e. when watching a YouTube video, is superb over the previous. If these simple things could be rectified then it will be flawless. Thanks

I don't like the Saturn icon, we're not on Saturn we're on earth. I dont like the blank background when selecting secret mode. Its very boring, why did y'all mess with the original. Really really really sucks icon as most of Korean icons do. Suggestion, maybe invite some non Korean artists or get input from non Korean artists to better your icons presentations. If it ain't broke, dont try break it. Samsung just be Samsung, and quit trying to be 'user not friendly' like other american cell phone competition. Samsung you're already ahead of the game. Keep it simple, lobby and survey with your customers as best you can to have a better informed decision... Keep it simple, not retro ugly.

Good work Samsung engineers. This browser is pretty much same fast and my beloved Naked Browser, it has some additional content like Adblock and Amazon assistant. Initially I was reluctant to use and bit suspicious but after a while "hats off ladies and gents"

I've been using chrome for a long time and I just decided to try Samsung browser for a change. Few disappointing features that I wish Samsung team consider changing for the new update. 1. You should have an option to rename the webpage when short cut to home page is created like chrome 2. There should be an option to transfer bookmarks and saved data from other browsers. 3. Be able to merge open tabs with open application for a quick close all. Pleaae consider these options for the new update.

Great app. Especially for one that some might call, bloatware. Just b/c it came pre-installed on your phone doesn't mean it sucks. This one has great functionalities amongst other apps (bloat&3rd Party), the device, and other devices (like printers and tablets, tv's, etc.

An excellent browser, but doesn't play some of online videos​ and in video playback there should be an option for choose high quality or low quantity​ like when play YouTube video. I think Search bar should be little lower for galaxy S8 plus it's difficult to reach.

Can't delete unnecessary shortcuts, keep accidentally taping the unwanted buttons and menus, didn't have the option to upgrade so it was forced on me. Why Samsung, why? Then, when I rolled back to the previous version, it deleted all my bookmarks, and saved login details. Just after I spent ages reinstating all that, it did another update, deleting all the work I had just done! Not happy.

Im really hating this new update. Not only is it confusing but i have to keep closing out to write something, copy it and go back on the web to paste it because it doesnt let me write anything. The keyboard doesnt pop up at all. Its annoying having to do all this extra stuff just to write one thing. This update feels very unnecessary. It was fine the way it was.

Should have left it as it was. This new browser is very buggy. Numerous instances of pages either totally freeze or not allowing scrolling. Also i seem to be redirected from pages to surveys, ads etc so is this less secure than the previous version? I'm only one day in but if it can't do the basics its not worth using.

Why did you change it? Now there are 8 bookmarks, that I will never use! , at the top of my list. I can't move or delete them. I used to love this app as my browser but soon I think I'll be changing. I HATE this browser now. Plus I tried the contact us, it just spun round and round, stalling. So that's useless too.

Hate how every time I want to open a new tab it automatically opens in mobile view so I have to change it back to pc version each time. I don't like the floating 'assistants' or having to install an extra app for ad blocking instead of just an extension, and it was a bit large to download.

How do I downgrade back to previous version on galaxy s6? Hate this new version and want it gone. It is tacky and impractical. Super unimpressed. If I can't get back to the previous version I will just delete this browser for good and support a different one all together!

The native browser on my phone was auto-updated to this. And before, videos played wihout an issue. Whether it were app-less youtube or video shorts on my FB feed. Now that it is Samsung Internet, any video causes a loading loop where my phone becomes instantly sluggish, unresponsive, black screened, and... Ultimately useless. Its an inconvenience, that to fix requires closing out the browser in active apps, and opening it back up. And still I am unable to view any video. Please fix. Will rate 5 stars when a patch comes.

Prefer the original Internet Explorer, Samsung didn't need to improve anything. All they did was make it more difficult to find the features and controls I was using before. Plus, this browser seems to give me a lot more problems stability wise compared to the old one.

Just had my internet app auto update to samsung internet, lost all my tabs, saved pages and bookmarks, and this new one isnt even optimised for a fair few websites the previous app was. Why make me force download this when i was fine having the other one where i still actually had everything.

This use to be my go to browser app on my phone. The last update has it acting stupid. Can't load pages fully and won't refresh when I try. Have to actually shut it down fully and open again to load more. I've had to copy url and paste them in google chrome just to be able to finish reading articles. It's just not as good as it was before.

One thing i love is the integration with biometric feature to login user credentials. I believe Samsung really optimise the app to run well (resources- and battery-wise) on Samsung devices. But why would there be different version of this app in both Play Store and Samsung's own Galaxy Apps? The UI quite sluggish at times to compare with Chrome. Keep it up Samsung!

Overall just ok, but chrome is better. Secret mode is not really private as I've seen searches in secret mode show up in my Google search suggestions after turning it off. Some websites just don't work. I'd use chrome, but this is defaulted more on my Samsung phone and has better fingerprint integration.

Like everyone else the recent update is just awful. If it aint broke dont fix it.. google layout has just been ruind. Please chnage it back..ive allways recomended samsung u til this day.. seems over exageratted but im sorry some has been payed alot of money just to make something worse.... oh dear

Much higher percentage of searches and links failing to load with this app I didn't even ask for. Keep getting a beta message screen. I've been trying to continue using Google and this app is predatory and take over. Hate it. I want it gone. Can I delete it without wrecking my phone?

I totally agree with the other comments that the original worked great with no problems. On top of that I can't uninstall or disable it because it was made a default. My LG is so much easier to use and work with. I can't even get into my account to get some help without going through Facebook. Signed Frustrated.

Meh. I liked the previous version more. Default bookmarks that I can't delete? FU. And what's with the hovering menu (or whatever one calls that three-dot icon) that I can't turn off, but sits right on top of the reading area? Also, Google results look like crap now; instead of a list, it's a cluttered hot mess.

I think this ap was designed by a 4 year old. Nope wait it would actually work and the icons would not look so stupid. What happened to a Samsung being different from the I-phone. My thought is this if I wanted an I-phone I would buy one. Oh wait I have one now looks slightly like a Samsung. Huge disappointment plus no one ever asked if I wanted this ap it just showed up. Going to unintelligible this ap NOW. AP DOES NOT WORK. I HATE SMART PHONES.

Don't like this version at all. Much preferred my old browser. My bookmarks gave been messed up and extra bookmarks added that I don't want. Why do we have to have these new versions forced on us by Samsung. I am thinking of changing my phone to another make.

Great job Samsung, great new features! I still think one thing is missing... its been long overdue and that's the 'synchronize across other devices feature' like the one on google chrome. Add that & its a 100% perfect for me

You cannot please everyone, but i must say I am very impress with this update trust mi. Most people love to complain, I don't think they understand all the effort it takes to deliver a App like this. I would like to see those haters try to create something they think is better. Keep up the good work! Blessed love.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY PHONE! since this update which is terrible it's mega slow, and what have you done to the icon? Replace it immediately! Terrible design and performance and someone at your place gets paid to design this rubbish! A 2 year old could design better.

Honestly I'm getting a lot of lag and sometimes the app even freezes. Also organisation of bookmarks became harder as the star button is not in the seperate folders you have created so now it's become a hassle to move after you bookmark. There's also the fact that I can't even use the swipe keyboard. Plus the side bar and bottom button you added that pop up when i am scrolling have become a real eye sore so can you add a option to turn it on/off. Could you please fix these by the next update?

Completely pissed off! I have been using this app to access my internet, and do all of my online purchases. Suddenly it tells me I have to use my fingerprint in order to access my saved credit cards. If I wanted to use my fingerprint, I would have set it up to use my fingerprint. I am so angry right now! I had to go find all of my credit cards, and transfer them to chrome to be able to use them every time I want to buy something. I guess I'll be switching over to Chrome because at least it just saves my credit cards.

Unfortunately I am not able to keep a tab open and use my keyboard to text on that page after a while. I have to close tab and reopen which is annoying and didn't exist before. Keyboard just does not appear after a while I have a Samsung galaxy ace 5 and recently updated OS
