Samsung Music

Perfect for very huge library. It doesnt lag for me that has ten thousands of songs. unlike others that doesnt function at huge library. Very nice ui. Only problem is with queue. i wish i could view the queue in a way sorted out in play order to see the coming next song during SHUFFLE mode. Just have that option please in the sort menu button. And this will be the perfect player on android for me. ALSO put a-z scroll bar on the albums tab as well.

Eerst was het een goede app die ik veel gebruikte, totdat, toen ik laatst weer muziek wilde luisteren, hij in een keer vast liep. Ik heb mijn telefoon toen weer opnieuw opgestart, maar telkens als ik op play drukte deed hij weer raar. Ik hoop dat hier zo snel mogelijk wat aan gedaan wordt!

Nice app. Could be better with just one more feature possible in the next update. Whenever I remove my earphones while listening to music, the music of course, stops. But whenever I put it back into it, I have to switch on my phone again and hit the play button. Could you please make like a time interval in the next update in which, when I put the lead back in, the music automatically turns on. The limit could be like 5-10 seconds. Nice app???????? Didn't know listening music could be so easy before I bought this samsung phone

cmonbruh not supported to rooted device.. i dont know how to completely remove root on my device. already did everything tried to follow steps on youtube but it still has root...all my fav music is in here pls fix...well just make samsung music support all rooted device if possible... and sorry for my engrish... i tried and hope u understand

It's pretty decent, would be great if you add earphone control. On my s8+ I can only skip songs by pressing the pause button twice.... Vol down should be used for skipping backwards Vol up for skipping forward And pause/play button used as is

The trick for me was figuring out how to turn the auto updates off. Otherwise this app would keep updating itself and taking up more and more memory. No easy way to be uninstalled on my samnsung note 4. Overall for me this was a intrusive app that i never voluntary got from a app store. And it is hard to get to go away. I use spotify and dont need the large memory waste on my phone.

Been using this app since I've had the S3, S5 and now S8+. It's great and very simple to use. I experience no issue with it whatsoever. However, if I have one gripe, it's that I would like to have the music slider where you can tap where you want to listen to during a song or repeat a certain part when it's on the lock screen or as a shortcut. It was there before but you guys removed it and I don't know why but I would like it back

1.)New update does not show the alphabet slider when opening the app. You have to switch between name and date added for it to show up. 2.)The lyric font became smaller after the update. Hope you add options to change the font size. 3.)When playing songs with lyrics, the player does not show the letters with diacritical marks. 4.) It'd be also great if the app allows each song to display their own art cover rather than the default album art if they're in the same album.

It's an intuitive music app for local files. It's fast, it's easy, and provides a nice set of eq options. It's every bit as a good as iTunes but it doesn't have intrusive suggestions to buy Apple music. If I had one suggestion, it would be to let me ask Bixby to play songs, albums, and playlists. That's really the only thing I miss from Apple. Siri could control pretty much all of music.

This app was perfect till the Samsung Music appeared. This is when I noticed the alphabet slider was gone. It really annoys me because I've around 570 songs and it's hard to get and find a specific one. I'll give 5 stars if you bring back the old version exactly as it was. It was perfect in every way for me personally

This app not only plays music, it allows you to make playlists (often a premium version feature) for free, has a dedicated favorites list button in the player, but it can edit the tags on tracks as well. Over all a full featured and well rounded music app.

It is so so rare that a large company takes Play Store feedback but Samsung has done it. The alphabet slider and shuffle play are back! This really is THE music player for those of us focused on our own music, not cloud services or streamed music.

Good for Samsung mid range upward devices for audiophile grade headphones. You'll get hardware processing without working with software interface of third party player. Lacks Left--Right balance & a minimum visualizer. Quality comparable with VLC & Pi music player.

I love this app, there are a few bugs with though. Album covers change on me and I don't know how to change them back and there was one time where one of the albums was overlapping another and I had to exit out and return again for it to return to normal. Please update and fix the app to make it more stable.

I love this app but lately it just freezes and I can't even close the app or switch songs. It just keeps playing by itself. But when it finally responds it says that the app has stopped working. Please fix this and I'll gladly this give it a 5 star rating.

This is one of the best music players I've used after the apple one. But the only drawback is it doesn't show many albums and tracks and even if I search it can only play while browsing in file manager but not directly on the player

1. It can't play mp3 songs. Error msg says this file is not supported. Unusable. (Tried the songs on other players all okay. 2. Doesn't show synced playlists (or shows playlist but w/o tracks). (Tried with both doubletwist and isyncr) It's funny that Samsung's own music app can't play songs on my Samsung phone ????

Recent update has removed the alphabetical search bar. It is now extremely frustrating trying to search albums or artists if you have more than 5 of either. Otherwise, not a bad app

The Sound Alive does not come up when pushed. The Sound Alive does nothing now when pushed on S6. Please fix. Didn't have any problems before update. Ever since update the Sound Alive does not work. Fix problem & I'll give 5 stars

This is the best music player I've ever had. I love everything in it. I like to post what song I'm listening to on my status and it looks really pretty. It works really good too. I either uninstalled or disabled the old ones when I found this. Thank you so much for this great app!

I love this official music player of samsung. Earlier, I used Samsung S-5830i in which I used various 3rd party music players. Bt I like this one of 'Samsung Music'. It possessed everything which I wanted except a simple but cool feature. I think, there should have add 'EXCLUDE MUSIC FILES LESS THAN 1 MINUTE' so that unwanted tone files won't be able to added to the music library. I thinkk, other people also wants this feature as well. So, I want 'EXCIUDE MUSIC FILES LESS THAN 1 MINUTE' Option in the next update. I will be gratefull to Samsung Music team If u add this feature. Thank you.. in advance

I thought this player had gapless playback. Unable to edit album art. Some albums are split in two, with no option to fix/merge/etc. Maybe these options exist and I'm just overlooking them. Good UI though.

I've had a bit of a problem lately, whenever I add a new mp3 album, the release date isn't shown even though it's on the tags of the mp3. The dates are shown correctly on other music players however. Please can you fix this, otherwise it's a very good app.

I really like the UI, but please make the cover images for the songs be in HD again. Mine is so pixelated, it really annoys me. Also,if I have multiple songs from the same artist the cover image is the same for all the sogs from that specific artist even though they all have different thumbnails in the My Files directory. Please fix,I'll rate higher.

queue doesnt show what is going to be played next. when i add a new song, lets say 'song A', to queue while listening to 'song Z', it does not play song A after song Z ended. the queue is very confusing either get advice from other music apps, or provide a tutorial on how does your queue works

I love this app! But I've come across a few problems that I'd like to address. I use a different app to edit information for my music. Before the update, the album covers were on the correct songs. Now, with the new update, most of the album covers are either wrong or aren't there! I tried fixing with the tag editor but it didn't work. Please fix this problem

This app was great. Emphasis on WAS. Out of nowhere, it changed the name of one of my bands on my SD card. It won't let me change it back. When I go to edit within the app, it acts like it successfully edits it and then I go out of it and it's still what IT has changed it to. It added the word "THE" to a band name that does NOT have that word in their name. Very irritated.

It's by far the best Music Player for the infinity display. The interface goes well with the device. However, it's a big disappointment how before it was just called "Music" and now it changed to "Samsung Music" which adds more text into my homescreen which if I add it on my dock it'll appear as "Samsung.." I hope you could bring back just "Music" lable under the app.

Simple! There was nothing wrong with it on my note 4 till the updates started! Now after playing for a little while the music starts sounding terrible and like it's being slowed down till i turn the screen back on and gets static in it! Does it on my galaxy 8 plus as well! Please fix the music player so that glitch is gone and then maybe I'll rate this crummy player better!

You guys must've read my review or may have others complain about the same issue. The recent update resolved my problem though. Song titles are once again displayed on the radio in my truck. Thanks guys

I guess Samsung thinks it's perfectly normal for a third of all bands to be filed under "The". If Google can do it, I can't see why Samsung can't, or won't. I know Google didn't do it due to listening to user feedback--that's the last thing they pay attention to. Since just about the time the idea of sorting began, it's been common knowledge that articles, like "the", "a", "an", etc. at the lead of a title are not part of the sort. Well, I guess perhaps the Samsung Music developers didn't get that memo. The Cars, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Killers etc. all fall under "T". Come on, Samsung, get with the program.

Great music app, but it could use a few tweaks. When u play a track, it has the song title and artist name but it needs the album title as well. Plus when u exit out the app and then go back to it, if I could play the song from where I left off would be great. I like to play my music on shuffle alot of times so I want all my music to play through. I hate when the player stops itself and I have to reshuffle all over again, please fix this. Needs a Shuffle All button as well.

STILL WAITING for the bug fix towards the SoundAlive equalizer. I've tried everything from restarting my phone to looking up solutions only to find that there are other S6 users who had the same problem. Are y'all at Samsung trying to to pull a fast one like Apple was caught doing?

Would be better if there was an option to point certain locations of filesystem as music library. Right now this app scans whole of filesystem for audio files and also adds ringtones and notification tones in the music library which is a bit annoying. Otherwise it's a great music app.

It's been working well since the most recent update. If I could think of any improvements, it would be to better categorize the genres once you go into the tab. At the moment, it's extremely jumbled and unorganized. It would be easier to navigate through if it had each individual album included in whatever genre you go into.

The shuffle does not turn off on this app on my s8+ no matter how many times you tap the button .It's extremely frustrating. I have been trying to switch it off for days ????????????. I used to love this app. Now I just can't even listen to recently added songs because it shuffles the entire playlist???? Really disappointing

After I play track for a while, it always says 'failed to play track' and can't listen to any song. But I can still play track in other music players. Please fix it. Thank you.

Love this music app, so much better than all the others even in its basic form. One thing I'd love to see in a future release is the ability to cross fade songs or totally remove the silence from the beginning and end of a track. I listen to a lot of Edm where each track continues from the last so this tiny silence is annoying despite the option being select in settings to remove it, it doesn't remove it all.

The newest update makes it look and feel nice, and Samsung brought back the alphabet bar, but it still keeps on crashing (not much of a problem for me since I open it from a widget). I also tend to make specific length playlists, and would like them to bring back the playlist time that is on the base app. I wouldn't want to have to uninstall the updates just to know how long my playlist is

How.. how, how... HOW THE HELL do you add tracks? I'm going bananas trying to figure out out. I have the folder in my phone full of music. But there is no freaking way to get this app to see it. Please I've spent over 2 hours playing with this over the last 6 months. I'm not a tech phobic fool. Some one explain. I have pressed every button a thousand time trying to figure it out.
