Shoebox

The easiest way to store any number of images is just to dump them in one large directory where thay can be later retrieved by searching for any attached comment tags. These must be added before the image is stored and can consist of any number of words separated by spaces, so, for example "2015 holiday France Paris" might be one comment, and "2015 holiday Spain Madrid" another. Entering "2015 holiday" would then extract both images from the collection.
At present, due to restrictions that were introduced with Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) it is not now possible for this operation to be undertaken by Shoebox, so these comment tags must be added elsewhere before moving the images to the smartphone SD card.
The Map button will use the Google Maps facility to locate the location where the image was taken, if the GPS data was recorded.
A slideshow can be triggered by clicking the Context menu (Top right) and then Slideshow. This is stopped by simply clicking any image.
