The first time I've used a seagate product without any issues. I wonder if it's because I'm using on an android platform: samsung s2 tablet & huawai mate 9 phone, it's fast and responsive, previously only tried with windows surface pro and nokia 1020 phone gave up.

Worst purchase everrrrr... wish I ordered fresh air in a jar that would make better sense.. completely useless

Seagate support hold times = 30 mins plus. App works when it feels like it. Cumbersome to say the least on maintaining an operating version. Most definitely needs improvement and Seagate tech sup absolutely is horrible.

Doesn't accept username/Password... Seagate is a good product, APPS require massive work. Please get this done seagate WD have a really really good App.

Running a Seagate NAS 110 with Motorola Xoom 2 (ICS), Sony Tablet S (ICS) and Galaxy Nexus (JB) and all of them give the same "Username or password is incorrect" error. I've already double checked the login credentials and I've also updated the firmware of my Blackarmor NAS 110 to 1000.1321 and made sure that the Globalaccess option was selected from the web interface but still no luck. Great idea but implementation REALLY needs work.

It is shameful for a major hardware vendor to put out an app with this sub par quality under their brand. No updates, horrible ui/ux and just barely works to download a file. They do realize they are competing with Dropbox, Google Drive and the like? I'd laugh, if I hadn't dropped big bucks on their home NAS. Which BTW also already had a catastrophic failure, only fixable by breaking open the case and running fsck on the disk.

Have a NAS220 with latest firmware. Have followed setup instructions on Seagate to the tee. With username & password supplied it logs in, but doesn't display NAS220 at all. Have spent hours trying to get it to work. Disabled firewall & all security on router and it still doesn't work.

I also get the login error. Username and password is wrong... Well what is wrong i don't know. If you find how to fix this please mail me. See ya

I have a seagate 2 TB NAS bay and i tried all the apps Seagate has and still cant access my files on it locally. Even if im connected to the network. Still no go. Apparently seagate cant get the most simplest connection to work. Tried ES File Explorer instead found all my network in a minute.

I have a NAS 220 that came with remote access through tappin. Worked well for a couple of years until Seagate decided that it was time for me to pay them some more money. So they stopped supporting the remote access. I don't think I will do that, instead I will know better what to look for in my next NAS: stay away from any proprietary system/software/app that has an incentive and the means to up the premium when they want more cash from you.

V70%
by V####:

As a layman, I spent 6 months to understand how this thing works. In the end, I realised I had to switch on my computer 24 hours a day, running tappin app in the background to actually remote access when I'm outside. Oh man! Not really user friendly

The app doesn't work for me I have configured the user on my NAS110 and installed the app on my Samsung Note 4 Edge, but after login on the app I am not able see my NAS110.

waste of valuable memory space on the phone! Accessing my blackarmor drive whilst on my home network is slow (wi-fi). I just want to stream some videos from the server to my phone but that doesn't work. it sits there "downloading" but nothing happens (well after waiting 5 minutes the yellow bar has moved a bit). It plays music streaming. In the time I have taken to write this review, I'm still waiting for my movie to start playing. Take it from me - don't bother installing this app if you are wanting to do some of the things Seagate claim it does. (PS - yes updated my firmware and am running latest version of the app).

It's not a self running app it depends on u installing a program on a computer which I wouldn't mind. Except u have to pay 30 bucks a month. Blackarmor was a waist of money, I'm just going to make my own sever and just leave it at that.

On the seagate advertising for their NAS servers they pretend this app is like a dropbox replacement. It is not. It is simply a disfunctional piece of rubbish. That's the polite way of saying it. Now I'm stuck with a NAS that I basically can't connect too from any of my portable devices. If I could give negative stars, that's what this frustrating so called software written by monkeys is worth.

Can't seem to download anything from the network drive. I think the problem is with this app, but Google these days is preventing third party apps from writing to SD cards, so it might be their fault.

I can see my public folder AND my private folder from the single (admin) login I created a Central. I can even browse all my local folders on my android phone.

Would be nice to have ability to create folders on remote storage, more functionalities like dropbox or drive.

I don t have any control buttons on samsung galaxy s 5. Practically I cannot copy paste any items

C70%

This app is very bad and complicated. You can't stream videos, it will start downloading the file onto the phone (wasting all the memory, and ain't much memory on the LG g2) unlike the wd cloud you can't stream right from it, also app looks ancient.

C70%

OK once setup. Needs better guidance on how to get up and running. Doesnt automatically find your server, you need to manually add after enabling access on the server it self.

I am able to access my files, BUT the file names are cut off from the bottom (you can only see the top of the letters) so some names are unreadable. I have a Galaxy S5.

Folders appear squashed. Layout is very basic. Would be nice to set local folders to sync to the NAS. Using with Seagate nas. Not the easiest setup but it works just needs an update.

Seagate reminds me of yahoo, has so much technology and a bunch of people that do not know what they are doing running the company, I have a goflex home hard drive! I also have a nexus 7 tablet that I would like to be able to access my files on the drive with, but that's not possible like it is with my Iphone , because go flex doesn't have a ANDROID app. That will let me hook up with my drive remotely,Get your Act together people, think outside the box! Yes there is other tablets and phones in the world.

This app is utter garbage. To begin with, this is infact a re-iconed "Tappin", nothing else. It has not been updated since 2012. It does not have the ability to just play a file such as a video without downloading the whole thing to the phone. If you want to upload photos, it has not sort of integration or ability to upload pictures from a monitored folder. It is all manual More than that, lets say you want to upload all of your pictures, you cant for instance, upload your camera folder, or anything, you have to go in that folder, and more than that there is not even a select all feature, you have to click each and every picture one at a time. This app could be so much more with very little effort, Seagate and Tappin threw in the towel.
