Seagate Backup

Not very user-friendly. Always have a hard time adding photos or videos. And when I finally do get them uploaded it uploads a hundred of the same photo. Would be awesome if you could delete the duplicates from your cell phone app.

It's ok. Not to many features. Seen better by far. Does not backup the mobile phone very good. Drive not found message all the time. Have to unplug the drive and plug it back in so that I can do a mobile backup. Next time I will go with WD.

When i backed up my msg, it was fine. But when i restore, it keep crashing. I backed up my MMS msg, when i finally can restore, it only show "my" texts, i lost ALL the communication with others. So, no use to back up when u can't fully restore it. Unhappy BIG time

This ap gets to my photos then crashes. The computer version won't work either. You pay good money for a 3tb back up system and it works for not 1 day.

I recently upgraded my iPhone 6 to a Samsung S8. I performed a backup to my personal cloud before I made the switch. I downloaded and installed the backup application for my android. After setting the parameters for a restore from my previous backup it worked as advertised. All of my contacts converted seamlessly. Even my photos and videos restored as well. These days I'm a little bit slower than I used to be, trouble with vision and dexterity, but the old adage "RTFM" still applies. RTFM means Read The Freaking Manual.

Clearly a poor App from a well known company. I bought the drive over a year ago and it's very difficult to use. On my computer I have to backup my files manually because the Auto features don't work. The mobile App doesn't work at all. I've read the Seagate replies to these reviews and tried the troubleshooting guide to no avail. My only guess is the Android mobile only works for the newest phones, mine is 2 years old (Google phone). I suspect the Apple users are the happiest with the App. Reading the reviews (a year later), it's obvious a lot of people are still rating this poorly, so it's not just me! Lol

It keeps failing on my phone, says unknown error. I won't update this app because reviews are so bad. Please fix!!!!

While I had some trouble at first, it is now working very well on both my phone and my tablet. I like how easy it is to use, and the confidence of having everything backed up regularly.

Need to restart my phone everytime to run the backup. Else it will have error "Authorisation Failure". Hope to have this bug fix.

I am always getting unknown errors even when I know everything is set up correctly. And there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get help.

A backup app where you can only back up a small fraction of your data is pretty useless. Need to be able to backup ALL files on device.

Backup to Google drive takes place only if tried more than once. However backup to Seagate drive is smooth and fadt. auto backup scheduled at particular time is not working in Redmi 3s. Overall performance of this app is acceptable. App is very basic and does what its name says

In my PC the software recognizes my phone but the app doesn't recognizes my backup disk.. So I can't make the backup.. Doesn't work!!!

I have 2 homes, Seagate personal clouds at each. My other devices will detect & back up to either drive, but to back up my phone I have to delete one dri v e to use the other which is tedious.

Kind of slow to log in and had a few problems at launch so it got a lot of low reviews but once you set it up it works.

Could not get it to work out of the package for my cellphone until I got the recent update. Now works fine.

Not sure why there is no option to backup documents such as pdf word and excel files, maybe I am missing something

Update 5/28/17: still force closing, even on a multiple phones. Need to sync mobile info through other drives. Pointless

It's good, I like it but please fix one feature - it forgets share password and I have to sign in again. This bug doesn't allow automatic backup. Every week one star less :)

It works very slow, and interrupts very often. I did not manage to backup my phone with it. Fix it otherwise it is almost useless.

Every time I want to backup, it doesn't work, so I have to revert to a manual backup instead. I will use it, as it's all I have at the moment.

Doesn't work, tried both of my Wi-Fi networks and still gives error messages. Troubleshooting doesn't work.

Settings poorly designed. Not user friendly.

Changed phone to a Huawei P10 and the app keeps crashing when I try to setup the backup plan. Hugely disappointing. What a waste of money. I also tried to de-install and reinstall then posted a request for support with description on the website since this didn't work but haven't had any response after days. Still waiting and with a useless piece of equipment. The response you gave me is not acceptable either (is using the media app with auto uploaded). Basically I lose so much features from the item I bought. Please contact me privately for a return and refund.

It continues to crash and never gets through a complete backup, especially when backing up photos.

The app is never able to log in to my Seagate drive

Very easy to setup and use. Windows 10 though caused it not work unless you give Windows 10 permission to acess Windows

Love knowing my phone data is backed up. Once it's set up all quick and easy.

Nice application works very well when internet is working at on good speed otherwise it fails to backup data.

As the owner of multiple organizations and devout meme distributor I've found this mobile backup useful for both business and pleasure.

I find somewhat cumbersome to use.

Absolutely confusing and does not backup

Having a mobile back up in addition to the regular computer back up is a huge benefit, especially if you use you phone for work.

I had no problem with the app. Make sure your on the same Wi-Fi as your laptop and watch it work. Just that simple.

i registered account to Seagate but when signing through app it showing "the user doesn't exist" why ?

Fails to backup to Drive often

Doesnt complete the back up more often than it does complete it!!
