I made it because I hate to be woken up by any stupid sound. I prefer listening to music, news or stuff about weather few minutes before i have to get up. As far as I know, there is no standardized way how to use a radio receiver in phone by Android API, so it's only way to solve it, using the internet radio streams :).

This application isn't fully an alarm replacement, because it's neccessary to have a good internet connection. This application is trying to be replacement to your standard night clock alarm.

What are users saying about Radio Alarm

This is a reliable radio alarm clock, that works exactly how I want it to. So why only 4 stars? Too set the app up requires quite a bit of 'manual intervention' that some users may find confusing (I didn't), and some of the descriptions of the options in the menu just don't make sense at first.

M70%
by M####:

All parameters have to be set - the automatic time length of the radio is 0 , for example. And it sometimes goes off late if any other apps are open. Now I've worked out how to use it, I open the app as I'm going to bed and close all others. Also very difficult to get any other stations than those included, even using the link in the instructions. For example, it can take a few minutes for it to open bbc radio 6. I've stuck with it, though. It's nice asking up to radio 3.

M70%
by M####:

The only thing missing is ability to play mp3

M70%
by M####:

Exactly what I need in a clock radio, accessing any stream I want worldwide.

Awesome app love it just what I was looking for

Best app

O70%

You do have to find your own radio station link, but once you've found that, it is good. It can be a bit slow, and sometimes even if I am connected to the internet the radio doesn't play. Otherwise it is good and has successfully woken me up many times.

I70%
by I####:

It often fails to connect to the radio stream first try. Why can't the app retry the stream link automatically?

Y70%
by Y####:

Tablet version is excellent . Phone version is lousy. No alarm stop button. You have to reboot your phone to stop it.

Y70%
by Y####:

Don't you think that an alarm clock should have a 'stop' button?! Add this "feature" to you app and snooze, and you have a perfect app.

Y70%
by Y####:

It works well, but to stop or snooze it's far too complicated.

P70%

Does all that a clock radio should. Used daily.

Just got the update that fixed weather. This app has all of the features I want in a clock radio. I love it!

Not a bad App

Y70%

Best radio enabled alarm clock that I've used. I only wish that it would show the next enabled alarm time. After the weekend I find myself going into the alarm settings to make sure the alarm is set. Other than that, it's awesome.

No awful ads, no scam features to try to get you to pay more. Works workout glitches. Can't ask for more.

Y70%
by Y####:

This app had good ratings but like all the others it doesn't seem to play radio when the alarm time comes, I have correct URL and tried on WiFi and 4g hope someone can make a reliable radio alarm soon so tired of alarm noise.

Y70%
by Y####:

The only complaint is it is difficult to add radio stations

Y70%
by Y####:

Love it when it works but yesterday the radio didn't turn on and today the alarm didn't go off at all.

Y70%
by Y####:

This is a great app specially if you have an unutilised old phone or tab in the house. Great addition to the kitchen or bookshelf.

Y70%
by Y####:

I tried 4 alarm clock radio apps and kept this one. The UI can be a little annoying but over all it is a quite nice app. Use it every day

D70%
by D####:

It often fails to connect to the radio stream first try. Why can't the app retry the stream link automatically?

Y70%

Weather location cannot be set or detected. Always shows Prague weather.

Q70%
by Q####:

Used to be great but weather is always incorrect no matter how it is set up.

E70%

Great app. Intuitive, easy to use and very well presented.

I like the weather and changing to upon charging. I'd like it easier to change the station for an alarm

T70%

After table clock app went down and trying 25 apps this is the best sub around.

Needs a few tweaks to make it perfect but we'll done

I installed this on an old phone when my Archos 35 died. It works brilliantly, unlike many others I tried. My only gripe is the snooze/dimiss buttons are a bit small for my ageing eyes.

U70%
by U####:

This replaced my old favorite, Alarm Droid, after lollipop upgrade broke it. It works well. I stream my local npr station. I wish it had snooze.

K70%
by K####:

I tried half a dozen radio alarm clocks and this was the only one that works well and has a fall back alarm for if the internet connection failed. It looks good and you can observe the time through the night like a normal clock. I got help with a setting issue straight away from its creator. Tells you the weather forecast and can be used as a radio that turns itself off after so many minutes so you don't have to bother. It doesn't have a snooze button but that doesn't matter. It could do with a great big button at alarm time to turn it off. Fairly easy to figure out.

U70%
by U####:

It's reliable. The only problem is to find your favourite radio on the web to wake you up. But all the rest is perfect.

I70%
by I####:

I am not techy but I set this up and the cockerel alarm is so irritating I have to get up. I like the display and weather app.

Y70%
by Y####:

On the radio station page only the last of the three types of streams works for me. Winamp, even though I don't have it installed. Radio stream selection is complex, manual and outdated. After you have selected your stream you have to name it and select it again from the "STREAM URL" "/" list. when you "ADD NEW ALARM". Some users will get lost trying to do this. At least it is totally free and complete.

Works well for my local CBC.

works perfectly, exactly what i needed (radio alarm), haven't played around with it much, so don't know about all the features.
