Never had a problem with the app. The devices are easy to set up so long as you read the instructions (I had a lot of problems before I did that). Can't beat the price and convenience. Had the alarm for about a year now . I bought some rechargeable batteries from China . I change them about 4 times a year .

I recently set up an alarm with 13 sensors, a hub, and a door panel, with one more sensor on the way (and maybe another couple after that). There were a couple hiccups during setup, but the support team is extremely helpful. If you have inlaid door frames, contact support and they will send you free magnets that work with said door frames. The app itself works great, the widgets are awesome, the notifications work if the alarm is tripped. IFTTT and/or some Tasker and AutiInput integration, and you can really do some cool stuff. I am definitely happy with the purchase. One downside: OK Google input doesn't work on my Nexus 6. It just performs a Google search for the command.

love this app usually, but my wife and i stopped receiving notifications on our phone when the alarm goes off! Cant really rate it any higher than a 1 until that's resolved.

Went to install over 500 in product. Base Station, door sensor, 2 motion sensors, 7 window sensors. All had dead batteries. They see my new batteries as "low" and will only connect when within inches of base hub. When installed they won't update at all, even though they are 20 feet away within eyesight of the hub. And no way I'm signing up for a forced service when they don't even work. And app constantly crashes on top of everything.

No problems with it. Works great

Like the widgets. Hardware needs some improvements. Additional Hardware offerings (glass break., etc.) and integrations would be bice. Integration with Nest, IFTTT, DO, LIFX etc are great.

New update had a few bumps for the first couple of days. Support and development team were quick to resolve the issues I came across and the app is working great. It is easy to use and I get notifications right away when an alarm is triggered. Could not ask for more out of this app.

Are you kidding, scout? Nothing works after the update to their fancy new platform. App does literally *nothing* other than show random error messages and occasionally crash. UPDATE: wiping app data solved the issue. Not exactly what I call a smooth rollout.

The app uodated last night. it auto armed the alarm, when the alarm triggered this morning i could not turn it off or control it. Turned my securtiy system into junk. It also claimed there was smoke in my house at 12am. Yet nest doesnt show it. Fails all around by scout. Took me weeks to get my product, mins to install, hopefully the return process is easy. this company really cant keep it together.

Looks like app service was updated and not backwards compatible meaning if alarm is going off I have to update app in order to turn it off. Amateur hour.

Forced to install the new version....now it makes me re-login into the app every morning when I wake up.....what gives?

Sometimes doesn't show changes for minutes. Doesn't update alarm state properly. Shows alarm in test mode almost all the time

I had a few issues early on, but support was great and there haven't been any issues for months. It's dully integrated with IFTTT, Nest, Hue, and Echo. Totally rocks.

This app crashes sometimes, but for the most part it works well. I do wish you had the option of not being prompted for the nest camera. For instance it would be nice if they just turn the camera on without the prompt.

The app works with no issues. Just have a minor defect of not able to update the timezone. Even though I change it, it reverts back to central time zone.

Battery life on all sensors is terrible, be ready to replace batteries every 1 to 2 months. I wish it would go into home automation like smart things. Also, please add a password verification before arming and unarming. I also wish there was a presence fob.

Cannot get mobile siren to work again after about 24 hours or so of installing the app. Other than that, not horrible.

Looks nice, decent design, but badly needs a refresh button because the app is often out of sync with the system. Often we disarm with the fob and minutes pass with the app still claiming we are armed and no mention of the fob use.

I want to like Scout so badly... But it seems that whole system 90% works and is 10% really frustrating. That holds true for the app. Nice interface that mostly does what I need it to, but so buggy. I'm constantly exiting the app and going back in to get it to refresh. When editing an alarm mode the only way to save it is by clicking in the title area. Other little glitches like this make it frustrating rather than elegant to use. UPDATE: dev fixed bug that forced me to constantly exit app. Thank you!

Sometimes I'll arm the home with the watch and fine it didn't actually arm at all. If they handle this problem (also affects the widget though less often) then I'll be happy

Doesn't always update with correct alarm status. It would be nice if there was a "refresh", or "sync" button, since alarm status and monitor notifications do not always update. Often I need to log out and then back in in order for the app to show me the current alarm status.

App logs me out every couple of weeks for no reason.

C70%

New update has made this app almost unusable. Takes more than 3 minutes to arm my alarm, and the lock button icons show the alarm as 75% armed. This causes the app to be non responsive and pressing the lock buttons does nothing when it's hung up. I usually have to check online to see if it actually armed or not because I don't trust the app.

New user here. So far this works great. Nice UI. Like integration with NEST. I came from iSmartAlarm which was horrible. Scout is a breath of fresh air in comparison.

Got my system, downloaded the Android App, and thus far it has crashed every time while just trying to register the system. Haven't even gotten to actually installing it. Update 5/28. It was Memorial Day weekend, so I wasn't expecting an immediate response. Got one Tuesday, and the app was updated and fixed the issue. Only complaint is the Activity Log doesn't update real quick. Even pulling the page down to force an update doesn't get new records. Lags a bit.

Fantastic system. Does exactly what I wanted it to, easy setup. No commitment on monitoring, but it's an option if you want it.
