Read the instructions verbatim 4 times...doesnt work. Absolutely horrible app and instructions. Do not recommend and I am tech savvy. Updated 1/8. Thank you Jennifer K. Forgetting your home network and then putting phone right in front of fireplace worked!!!

Got it to work on my phone only when I sat in front of the fireplace and had my phone "forget" my home network (to stop my phone from connecting automatically in the middle of this app's set-up process).

I can get almost finished and then it drops connection to my network as the unit is being added. Even called there support number where they said this is an issue and to try unplugging the unit for an hour and trying again. This fixes 80% of people's issue connected. Lucky me I'm one of the 20%!!!!

The app is terrible,doesn't stay connected with the phone or network so I can't even evaluate the features

Runs through set up, connect to WiFi, says successful then doesn't work. Can't even open anything to try. DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.

I can connect my Nexus 6 to the fireplace WiFi, but when trying then to add it to either of my home WiFi networks the app stops after 2 or 3 minutes. Details: Internet provider = Time Warner Cable Cable modem/WiFi Access Point = Ubee Secondary WiFi Access Point using Connectify Hotspot software on my laptop to share the Internet session that my laptop has to the Ubee access point. Note that the Ubee ssid contains a space and is mixed case. Since some implementations have trouble with embedded spaces, I tried connecting Firefly to the laptop hotspot that is a simple lower case ssid with no embedded spaces.

Works well for me and my hubby. I've been using couple of months without any trouble. Easy to set up as well.

All won't work

This app crashes my entire network every time I try to utilize it don't waste your time. It comes with a remote for a reason. Yes I connected and managed to use the app.... Once, subsequent launches will completely disable your network and require you to reboot your modem, EVERY time!!!!! I only gave 1star because I can't give it 0. For the individuals who disagree, I am Comptia A+ and Network+ certified, your argument is invalid

Every time I go through the setup process the app crashes and I have to start over. I have given up and will just use the remote. App needs much work
