Save MMS for Android
This app allows you to save pictures, audio and video from your txt messages to your SD card. Files are stored in the SavedMMS directory and are accessible from Pictures and Music.
v2.1
Sorts by Date, newest first.
I just downloaded it! It opened all my message media automatically. All you have to do is save each pic/video individually meaning click on each item you want to save and it does go straight to my gallery. It gives you an mss album with the saved pics as soon as you open your gallery. I don't know why some can't find their pics.
Works just as it should. Have no clue what others are ranting about and if you want the MMS in your gallery just move it there from SD card. So far I only tried photos, I haven't gotten any audio or video to know if that works too.
When we went for our phone upgrades, this is one of the FIRST applications I made sure made it back on our phones. This application is a must have for everyone!! I personally can't believe out of the kindness of his his heart, and all the hard work put into this application, it's free!! Thank you :-)
Great app specially if you are using Textra, which will not allow you to save Voicemails that get downloaded. But this app needs a MAJOR graphical overhaul. It's just downright ugly, down to the icon.
After upgrade my OnePlus to Android 5.0.2 with new Google apps, there is no more option to save attachment in Google's Messager and this wonderful app has help me to do just that.
Once it "saves" pictures to the sd card, they do not show up in the gallery anywhere. Frustrating. Moto Droid on Froyo 2.2
Fix the problem already! It won't save the pics to my gallery anymore! It was a very good application before.
No-nonse App. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Nothing more, nothing less. After hours trying to save awesome pictures sent to me by MMS, I discovered this and managed to save pics in less than 30 seconds.
Saw pics that I've never been able to open. The app opened all the pics with no organization whatsoever. Going to see if I can save them somehow.
The app simply doest not work on the S6 edge. I can see some low rez photos but all of the options are mission. The adds do t even come up!
Sick of getting useless slideshows from iPhone users, this app let me save the individual MMS images to local storage. Used on a Moto G running the latest firmware.
It worked but I had to click and save each file individually. Also, it is a little misleading saying it saves to your sd card, I was able to change the folder name but then had to go into the file system and move the folder to my extsdcard from the emulated 'sdcard'. HTC ONE M8 3 stars for working + 1 star for free. 5 stars with a save all feature (unless I just couldn't figure it out in which case it needs to be more intuitive)
While most of the features I'm looking for are in place, the app becomes pretty useless without knowing who the pictures came from if not by name then by phone number. Maybe even a way to go to the message thread would be helpful.
Dont know what haters are talking about. This app works great!!! Saves to a different folder rather than gallery but no big deal. It's a must have!
It keeps deleting my pics out of the save mms file in my gallery! UGH ANNOYING
Did exactly what I needed it to. I echo the surprise that Android can't save pics from MMS already. Thanks for this app!
Sits on a black screen for a while, then goes back to the home screen with the "unfortunately save mms has stopped" message. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, cleared data, and forced stopped. No luck. I'm using a Galaxy s6 edge. UPDATE: My phone just updated to marshmallow. Same thing is happening.
Just downloaded this, and won't even open. Every other app on my phone works fine. Disappointing.
Stopped working after saving 4 pictures. Weaksauce. Make this work!! Moto Droid
Not saving pictures! I lost so many pics before I realized it wasn't working! Shame on you dev! HTC Incredible 2.2
I had a slideshow of pictures in my messaging app and just could not find a way to save them. This did it in about three seconds, which was perfect because I needed them in a hurry for the newspaper. Tiny little app but does what it claims to. Beauty.
This app is quick and did save my pics but that's it. I couldn't assign them to contacts or access them in my gallery. They just sat on my SDcard..
Messages are saved to the "SDCard" folder on my phone, even though I don't have an SDCard on my Xperia. I then simply copied from there to my PC. I would have liked to be able to copy all these images in one go, instead of one at a time, that's my only gripe, hence the four stars, not five.
I spent 30 mind tring to find where the heck the pictures are to attach them to an email address. ... the phone just says saved to device, never found it, googled the problem this came up and it solved the problem in under a minute.
Galaxy Note II. It's got a long way to go, this thing has. It says it's going to save to the SD card but "SavedMMS" folder does not exist there. It's in the phone's memory, not the card. It showed my attachments but I had to save each one manually. Perhaps when I get new ones they will begin to be saved in the as-yet non-existent folder on the SD card, but I'm not hopeful.
This is great. There was no way to save pictures until now. Must have if you get a lot of pictures sent to you. [Moto Droid].
This is a good app. Never had a problem with it but I found out that my Realplayer on my phone works just as good if not better.
This app is great. It saves all pix and video to ur sd card. Hope u have a 4 or more GB sd card. Then use them how ever.
It worked great on my G1 but now it doesn't show my pix in gallery, under save mms. Is there a fix? Mytouch 3g
It used to work just fine when I had the GS3. Now I the Note4 & i don't have any options/settings to go with this app nor does it show the pics when I open the app. It's just blank squares that either say saved or not saved.... Uninstalled
Yeah I'm with the David guy this app dies work great but when I save it, it says it saved to my SD but my SD doesn't have it help please -evo
Best app to save pics and sounds sent via pic messages. *Borat HIIIGH FIIIVE!!
Great app for seeing all attachments in mms so you can save everything instead of going through all your messages.
Works good but u can do this without this apparently on the Droid. Juz touch n hold on message info below ur pic in the message and chose copy to card
Amazing! Its just that I have to turn my phone off and on every time for them to load. (Lg optimus)
Über simple to use. I had several MMS messages with sounds and others with pictures, and this was a great program to use to save all the media to a designated folder on my phone, from which I could transfer the files to my computer. Thank you Mr. Schwimmer, Bravo!
Its a good app, sence the android update it doesnt save it to my gallery right away. I have to restart my phone just to get it. -motorola Droid
It does what it says it does, start the app, choose MMS to save and save it to specified folder. Would be better if you could simply save from opened SMS app though.
It's not pretty or anything but it does what I need it to to do. Just such a simple way to save MMS without scrolling through text. I pretty much had this app ever since I got the HTC G1.

After reading other comments I still decided to give this a try, as I was having problems saving pictures off of text messages and my phone itself was not allowing me to save attachment. I read online about this app and I'm glad I did because I was able to save my pictures and have them stored directly in my gallery. Thank you for making a great and useful app.
