Active Display for Android
Persistent question mark notification after upgrading to Kit Kat
I have purchased the app now its not working for lollipop
The one gripe I have about this app is that when it's on lockscreen mode, if the back button is pressed on the phone, it exits the lockscreen and takes you to the phone's home screen. That just makes it feel like an artificial lockscreen rather than an authentic one. If this is fixed I'll give it 5 stars :)
Pros 1. Looks good. Cons 1. Turns off my screen within seconds. Since this has a drastic effect on the way I use my phone with the screen turning off every few seconds it makes it a deal breaker. 2. In phone calls, it seems to be interfering with or having an issue with the proximity sensor. The screen just turns on and off continually through the duration of any call. 3. Bugs somehow persisted even after I turned off the features. Had to uninstall completely. No other lock screen apps were installed.
garbage
But I wish it did because it looks good.
Device nexus 6. Actually it doesn't work at all. No screen light up when notification arrives. Maybe I didn't set something in settings.
Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. When unlocking device from the lockscreen, it automatically puts you directly into this application's core settings screen instead of simply unlocking the phone, and there didn't appear to be a way around that. Also noticed that it messes up the timeout screen time by reducing it unexpectedly. And this is the paid version.

This app would be 5 stars if it would stay in memory. I have to relaunch it 1 or 2 times a day which is a little annoying. Otherwise, I love the functionality and the minimal black look of it.

Very, very similar to the Active Display feature in Beanstalk and Dirty Unicorn ROM's.
Turned this off, still opened up in the middle of using my phone. Would not recommend
Just like the Droid turbo, great and responsive active /moto display
Sent a fairly detailed email (although not too long) to developer enumerating functionality issues. Allowed several weeks for a reply. Hearing nothing, I can only assume that the developer doesn't care about paying customers. The app is OK and I'm not looking for a refund or anything. I just feel that the developer is discourteous and unprofessional.
I was looking forward to using this app because it is the only one to activate pocket mode if there is a notification. It does not do that, it acts as if I want pocket Mode always, or just doesn't work. It also changes my phones display timeout to 15 seconds. Really looking forward to a more robust version of the app, or I'd like a refund

15 sec display on bug still exists
Buggy: often stops working on my Nexus 5. Also it would be nice if a background could be set for the lock screen.
I got used to the Active Notifications in OmniRom and this is the closest I've seen to that in a 3rd party app. The "pocket mode" works better (at least for me) than any other app of this type. One small anoyance: the screen time-out seems to set itself to 15 sec when you activate this app. Even though you can override that in the Display settings, it seems to reset back to 15 sec after every reboot. I see from the changelog that this was supposedly fixed in a previous version, but it's still happening.
Remove the square from the mini notification icons. No need to display small notification icon if its the only one. Right now it shows up small and big. Also 'open' appears behind the notification at times. These fixes would make it perfect.
Brings my favorite feature from my beloved moto x to any phone.
Does not turn screen on to display notification.
A little slow to wake on pocket mode. Would like to be able to configure size and position of items. Would like to be able to configure what swiping each direction does. Would like breathing notifications.

Best of the active screen notification apps
My wife has the moto x and I have the nexus 5 I fell in love with the active display on her x and this app is very very close and well done couldn't be happier
Pocket mode doesn't work well. Some features missing like control over how much time the screen remains on. Correct this and you'll have 5 stars
Glad to see this in the play store so more devices can use it. Still a little buggy with kitkat ROMs however, pocket mode only seems to work with notifications if you set it on always on. Clearing the notification by swipping to the x doesn't shut screen off and lock screen seems to not communicate with ROMs lock screen causing you to unlock phone twice. Using the latest cm11 nightly, but still enjoy trying this app out as I've missed the heck out of it since switching to cm11 on my d2att
Few updates and options away from being top dog.
Agree about being able to just hit the back button with the lock screen and open the phone
It just works!
Awesome!!!!
Just work as is intend to do, better than those two out there
Works great on my Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. Thanks for this useful app!

App prevents any security on your device, and runs poorly and very choppy, slow animations. Would rate 0stars if possible because of its lack of options and limited use.
The best of the lot!! Easily beats dynamicnotifications, active notify, and acdisplay. Great support as well.
Does not work on HTC One Max.
