Why not clearly state that there is a trial basis and a monthly fee thereafter instead of claiming to be free...this makes me hesitant to use the app. ...

To try out this app you need to sign up and provide your Visa Card details (no PayPal). Really? No apparent trail! No mention of subscription costs! No guarantees! No security! NO WAY! The irony is that this company sells software and training for FBA with Amazon which provides all the necessary guarantees and security. Maybe they should take their own courses?

Why not give a completely free trial or limited free uses like prof bandit, without having to submit a credit card,

This App is one of several I am currently using. When I'm sourcing I use the free Amazon Seller App initially because it's fast. If I find a product that looks profitable I can research deeper with this app because it has direct links to several free tracking sites. PLUS Chris Green (the creator of the app) is available to take questions via his FB site. SO the support is awesome. They are constantly adding to the app with inventory listing, scouting, evaluation, accounting and more to come I'm sure. There are several add ons you can buy. Hope this helps Amazon sellers make a good choice.

Downloaded the app because it was free. Upon starting it up, immediately asks for financial information. Had to read the reviews to see that they had a monthly charge.

I am astonished at how this program works. You have to sign up, and you don't have any pricing information before you sign up. You have to give all your contact and business information AND your credit card information to proceed to the pricing plans. Once you get there, the cheapest plan is $25.00 per month! Oh hell no. Now they have all my contact and business information and my credit card information. I'm going to flip my lid if anything gets charged since I exited out without opting for any of the plans. I went directly to Profit Bandit where the fee is $9.99 per month - up front.

"5 lowest New, Used and FBA offers." No longer true. This was once true of scanpower, but no longer. The MWS API data used skips offers. I will change to 5 stars when ALL the lowest offers are shown. Until then $60 for an app that does what the free Amazon Seller app does is outrageous.

Yes this is the scanning subscription app, I find it very helpful on my FBA Shopping Trips. Shows enough Amazon item details to make informed choices. My first find / purchase of qty 10 sold out in a week.

Misleading app description. While installing the app is free, it's worthless without a monthly subscription.

They need to knock off the sneaky tactics. State the subscription trial period credit card required. Why not try a small amount for a trial period. But please be clear and upfront that it's $39 monthly. We shouldn't need to check other commentors to know. Also the app specifically ask for credit card without showing the amount that will be charged. This review will be updated when you update your app

I will change this review if I can use the app. Until then I am rating my experience so far which is being forced to answer info about how I heard about the app, how long have I been selling, what I want to do with the app, then creating a username and pword, THEN asked for my credit card info. So far It simply brings me to a page wanting my credit card info. I emailed support. Hopefully I can actually use the app to see if I like it.

Nope sorry, I don't just give out my financial info to people that say they'll make me money. This has all the markings of identity theft waiting to happen.

Not cool. ScanPower not only overcharges for this terrible quality app, they profit from users by being an Amazon Affiliate & tagging EVERY link, in this app and on their site, to any Amazon product with their affiliate code so any purchase you make after visiting Amazon from their software gets them a nice % cut of the sale. I quit after finding out and they didn't deny it. Greedy & poor developers. Yuck. Turns out their data isn't even live either, it's pulled from their own cache up to 24hr old. Garbage.

This app is great! It shows the price the item is selling for on Amazon, whether Amazon is selling the item, and breaks out the FBA prices apart from the merchant fulfilled prices. The best part - it shows the net payout at each price point to help with my buying decision. Don't have to guestimate fees to see if there is room for profit. Information usually comes up quickly, but if the barcode matches multiple products it does take longer to pull up the list of products for you to select the closest match, so be aware if you scan an item and the screen is just black for what seems like forever (less than a minute!), it may be thinking and pulling up items. I don't like that each time I scan the screen turns off and I have to push the Android "on" button to see the screen again, but although that slows me down a little, the features are really worth it.

39.99 monthly... Not free

This app appeared free according to the description however when you run it the first time, it takes you to a page that wants $39.99/month to use it.

I have the subscription to ScanPower and am using all of their tools to build my business. This really helps me decide what to buy when out scouting, from books to toys. It is like all other technology, though, not perfect. Sometimes the signal on my android is not reliable, and sometimes ScanPower itself returns an error. All in all, I cannot imagine not having it.

ScanPower continues to provide crystal clear pricing information for every item on Amazon. They still provide data that no other apps provide. Scouting apps make you money and we all know that you get what you pay for. Go with the best and your bottom line will thank you.

"free" apps does nothing unless you pay a monthly fee between $9.95 and $59.95. It may be a great app, but if they are deceptive with the pricing, can you trust them with your payment info?
