Smart Feed Reader for Android
Best feature is that it allows you to set rules by which you can filter out news/rss feeds based on keywords
Font size too small
Combines beautifully well with verbose RSS feeds such as the leaders from "the economist", and with scientific RSS feeds such as those generated by Pubmed. Easy way to keep up to date with new papers coming out. Overall very nice interface, but the workflow could be made more intuitive, and there seem to be some small bugs with the orientation as you go through the different pages of the app.
The UI has a learning curve, hence 4★ rather than 5. But otherwise I really like it. Best feature is not being stuck with fixed menu of preselected feeds, but can add own choices of URLs. Thanks!
Please try to hide read articles and switch into Starred. I guess, it would be correctly to display all starred articles without filtering. Anyway, it is the best application for reading rss I used. Thank you.
not response when click any button
Took a year to find, after trying all the bloated "name " apps. Clean and simple , adequately customizable , refreshes automatically or on demand . Great for Craigslist and for complex news feeds . No ads or crashes so far.The Article reader is superb, particularly now that many news Apps have jumped onto the appalling "Material design " bandwagon. I'd gladly pay a premium for the ability to sync between my devices.
Search for feeds, mark read/unread, save for later, folders. Downsides: some actions are hard to find - "add feed from site" includes keyword search, the only way to add feeds is to navigate to all feeds first. Links in articles are in a hard to read color.
After trying several RSS readers I finally found one that works - the layout is very intuitive , it lets me read offline, helps finding RSS links and doesn't bother with ads! Awesome!
I hope there is feature to sort by Feed Title or function to search. Thanks.
Can't even pick up wikia feeds. Junk rss/atom reader.
Lets me read my news without unnecessarily jumping out of the app, works great offline.
Keeps updated on all news even in low internet speed
In what folder should I add my opml file so Smart Feed Reader will be able to import it? I really don't want to add all my feeds manually...

not so stable anymore...too bad
MR. So CALLED A PHD STUDENT...... I'M SO IMPRESSED BY YOUR TITLE THAT YOU HAVEN'T EVEN EARNED YET....JUST A MERE STUDENT..... YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T SUGGEST NOTHING TO THE DEVELOPER..... YOU'RE SO INTIMIDATING BY YOUR PhD. " BIG HEAD " .....I'M TRISSTEN......I HAVE A B.A IN ENGLISH AND TWO MASTERS DEGREES IN LOGIC AND PHILOSOPHY..... SPECIALIZING ALSO IN METAPHYSICS..... SO WHY DON'T YOU TAKE YOUR REQUEST.....MR. PAVEL ASEEV....AND THINK TWICE...... I SUFFERED FOR MY ART...NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!!!!!
Along with RSSDemon, it's one of the best. Especially the ability to have different auto update schedules for different feeds. I'd like the ability to order feeds (or have them auto order by most recent update) and easier access to updating a feed (like tugging on the top). The really weird bug is that it replaces the word "color" in feeds with "DelBySFR", so an item mentioning Colorado becomes DelBySFRado. Trivial, but odd.
Hi. The app is amazing and helping me a lot during my PhD. Here is a feature request: could you introduce the option to remove duplicated items while they are unread. I created several feeds which are using different search engines and when they find the same article they all put it into my feed. I sort them with your app rules to folders. But normally end up with 2-3 duplicates of the article. Please, make them be only one.
I use News+ as it works with feed reader services, bit this would be my go to app for raw RSS feeds.
I'd been looking for a simple but feature complete stand alone feed reader that didn't reqire any web services and finally found this. It works well and has an intuitive interface so I think I'll be sticking with it. Thanks to the developers for their work.
Filters seem to be not feed specific
I'll get "smarter"with "Smart Feed Reader"
Inserts the full article into twitter share
Addicted to this app.. Great app to get in touch with all new happening in world but one feature which can be added is back up bcoz after reinstalling i miss all the rss which i have collected..
The new update brought out a lot of improvements, but at the same time, it removed the ability to move and arrange feeds. If that option were to be restored, I'd give five stars
More often updates will be better (I prefer 1 min. refresh interval rather than 30 min.)
The functionality is perfect. Stability could be better.
I want 1 min autorefresh
5 stars for the filter. It could use some option regarding when to update feeds: only on wifi, shortuct to push update from another app. GUI could use some remake too.
Widget for home screen is better than a lot of paid apps, feed is accurate obviously. Awesome, thanks to developer!
Nice, simple and excellent filtering options. Perfect for me!
I downloaded this mainly for the opml import feature which does not work at all.
Not quite usable yet, but encouraged enough to try it again after the next update.
Looking for a Google news reader that filters out sites (i.e. LA Times) and words/phrases (i.e. Paris Hilton). Uninstalled.
Try many of them but this one is best of free rss apps. Thank you...
Been using this app for a while and loved it, however, I don't like the latest update: preferred swiping instead of main menu and doesn't always refresh when app is opened even though it is configured to do so.
