About SecureMe Droid

SecureMe Droid (SMD) is a security application for Android devices that scans existing apps, newly installed and updated apps for known vulnerabilities and security issues. It gathers data from the installed or updated application and sends it to the SecureMe Server where it checks for publicly known vulnerabilities using pre-gathered data from NVD CVE database.

The only information accessed from your device are:
1. App Name
2. App Package Name
3. Version Name
4. Version Number

Search Depth feature of SMD allows user to choose how deep the check for security issues should be. It gives 5 options to choose from:
1. Low: Check most recent year of database only.
2. Normal: Check 2 most recent years of database.
3. Medium: Check 3 most recent years of database.
4. High: Check 4 most recent years of database.
5. Intense: Check 5 most recent years of database.

Default setting is Medium.

Scheduled Scan feature allows you to run background scan of all your apps and show a notification if an issue is found. Scheduler can run:
1. After every 7 days (Weekly).
2. After every 30 days (Monthly).
3. After every 365 days (Yearly).

The modal prompts when an app installs that detail security info are only useful if there is a problem, otherwise its just a nuisance. They also happen at least twice for every app installed, making batch app updates a pain. As I write this I have received 6 notifications of no problems with the 3 apps I installed, interrupting my progress, which is only proving my point

Does its job if there aren't too many apps. It seems to time out if you attempt to scan more than 30 at a time (intense). Also, your check marks disappears from the apps you selected when you click secureme.
