Karachi Muaavin is an application that features crowd sourced traffic updates and latest city news. It allows users to mark locations of,
(i) Traffic Jams
(ii) Accidents
(iii) Dharna / Protests
(iv) Place of Interest
(v) Sale
In order to mark a location, user has to long tap (i.e. tap and hold) and select required option i.e. traffic jam, accident or dharna. A marker will be placed on the selected location and a notification will be generated (viewable in the feed list), both marker and notification will be visible to all application users.
Users can also endorse or deny the accuracy or correctness of the marker by selecting the appropriate option in the feed list. This will help other users to determine the authenticity of the notification.
Karachi Muaavin is intended as a public service application and strictly follows the rule of "for the people, by the people".

the beauty of this app, for me, is the live personalized and relevant geo info for karachi like the live twitter feeds for which area is safe or not for travel. preferred cafe and restaurants are just added benefit.

The app is useless as the updates for traffic never loaded. Why use this app when we already have google map with live traffic updates. Wortgless App in my opinion.
