PlayNews: Listen to news sites

I have had premium for years and still can't alternate voices! Most of my channels are down and emails to the app developers won't go thru! Is this app even working anymore? Used to be great not now!

Try a few week and compare with other text-to-speech app, PlayNews is the best. However, some wordings / sentences are difficult to recognize what app say. 14-Nov-17 Couple month ago app said the news i was listenning engine has down and no update at all. Reduce from 5 to 1 star.

same problem as before and not fixed. Keeps double repeating what it reads 2 sentences at a time!

It's a simple app but perfect for what I need..which is to listen to news etc while in bed.the screensaver feature means I can hear it even while screen is black. Going to pay for the full version to support the developer

Half the channels are down, and they've been down for over a year. This app used to be really good. Now it's a piece of @&.

Its good but I don't get complete subtitles ,please short out this problem.

I hope that you add more countries like Egypt and translation option

UPDATE: NO UPDATES since February of 2016. ORIG: Very hard to understand. Not gonna pay IAP to find out the rest of the voices are as difficult to understand. Allow a 24 hour trial of the Pro version that reverts back to free.

I used to use this app for South China Morning Post. But it has kept failing to play the news since February this year. Please help to fix it!! I really would like to listen news from this website. PLEASE~~

On LG G4 it works perfectly, but on LG v410 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro it has a terrible sound which cannot be changed in the settings. I will give you 5 stars if you would fix it.

On galaxy Note 3 and LG G4 it worked perfect. But on LG-H840 and xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro the sound is terribly metal and unchangable.how can we change that?

putting the tts quality drop aside, bringing the app back to focus makes it repeat every sentence twice.

The app has soooo much promise, I love that their are so many choices for magazines and news channels, it absolutely is the best selection I've ever seen! I only wish that the voice was more natural, the voice is so monotone that it becomes an annoyance! Overall, I would reccomend this app to all my family and friends!

Subtitle and voice does not sync after update to v 6 and can not switch to second voice. TTS makes thing best to worst.

Doesn't work, you add the channels but when trying to listen it ..it crashes..and says Unfortunately play news has stopped....and that 4 times in a row ... It doesn't work. Should be deleted

Will not connect to any channels.

...so if you like a synthesized voice reading tech news from Verge, this app is for you.

Not like Umano, human reader, but a very close second with many types of articles to choose from!

Very happy with this app it gives me all news while I am preparing my breakfast.

Infowars will not work and they will not reply when I ask why it stop working

Good App

Nice to read and listen

The app itself is great. But cannot give it a 5 star rating because of support's failure to answer my emails. Upgraded to a new phone, but my premium paid service wouldn't transfer to the new phone. My account ID is the same as the old phone. I sent support three emails. One vie their contact info and two via the app. They never responded. If support responds and gives me credit on my lost premium service, I'll change rating to a 5.
