Precisely what it says it is-- a simple network ping or echo-request tester Note: NOT in itself a communication tool in the slang or social media sense of "pinging" someone.

You can press the menu button and press get minutes. After you earn minutes by downloading and running an app you can delete it and keep the calling minutes. All txts are free and pinger to pinger calls are free. The only catch is you have to have wifi or the enterner on your device.

Can't have a dash as part of a network name. Won't allow you to enter it.

simple & useful. thanks. my only suggestion is to use black text for reporting a successful ping. the current light green on the light grey background is very hard to read on my phone. (there's no need to color-code a successful ping since any ping time show success so just use black text.) using red text for a failed ping works well.
