PhoneTracker [SMS Tracking]

PhoneTracker is a beautifully designed app that can be used to track the location of a mobile phone remotely via SMS. This feature can be used to track a person's whereabouts. For example, by using this app, spouses can keep track of their significant other, parents can keep track of their children and so on. This can also be used to turn a phone into a car tracker by strapping the phone onto a car. Another use would be for the user to allow his friends to find him via SMS. In case the mobile phone being lost too, this would be useful to locate the phone. Since, the app uses SMS instead of data network for transmitting location information, this information is therefore passed directly to the peer user and not via any of our server.


The app is very easy to use. The phone whose location is being tracked needs to have the app set in "Response" mode. The phone is now ready to respond to location requests that it receives via SMS. The next step is to set up a list of authorized users. The app will only process location requests received from one of these users. Once that is done, location requests can be sent in one of the two ways - via the PhoneTracker app installed on another phone or via a manually created SMS request. When the app receives a valid location request, it will respond back with a SMS containing current location info.


This app will receive and send SMS messages. Hence, network operator charges may apply.
