Diabeo Telesage

« Basal-bolus(1) » insulin therapy is commonly used among type 1 and type 2 diabetics treated by insulin. This type of treatment has demonstrated clear benefits for patients, with improved glycemic control and quality of life. However, greater patient autonomy requires having the appropriate tools that fit with one’s daily habits, particularly in regards to nutrition, physical activity, work and leisure, frequently varying situations which can make calculating one’s daily insulin doses highly complex.

The Diabeo® app is medical device software in clinical evaluation, not yet CE marked, co-developed by the CERITD (Center for the Study and Rearch for the Intensification and Treatment of Diabetes), Voluntis (manufacturer of the VITM medical device: Voluntis Insulin Therapy Manager), and Sanofi. Its use is strictly reserved to the Télésage clinical study, following activation by a qualified healthcare professional.

Diabeo® was developed to help patients simplify their daily diabetes management, offering patients:

• A self-adjusting insulin calculator and digital diary for long and short-acting insulin doses based on their doctor’s prescription, tailored to nutritional intake and physical activity(2)
• Enhanced follow-up with their doctor and/or broader healthcare team, thanks to automated patient data monitoring
