"KBL Apna App 2.80" is SMS Based Android App of Karnataka Bank Mobile Banking Service.
(Registration for Mobile Banking is Required )
Latest Version has Added new features like landing page with different links to mobile banking and SMS banking.
IMPS P2A service with instant Funds transfer Payment facility ( IFSCode and Account number )
Instant Permanent Debit Card block.
KBL Apna App is a Mobile Banking Application which works on SMS authentication. Various banking services can be availed from anywhere only with SMS without GPRS connection.
Prerequisites:
1) User should register for KBL Mobile Banking
2) Can be used only in Android OS based smart phones
3) User need to connect to internet only for download of app or in case of updation to newer version of app.
4) In dual-SIM phones, please make sure you have selected the mobile number registered with Karnataka bank in your SMS settings for using this app
Features:
a) Android based SMS Banking Mobile Application
b) Transactions are initiated by sending SMS through the App.
c) Choice of languages - App menu available in English/Hindi/Kannada.
d) Secure and safe - as app works only on registered mobile number.
e) Convenient - as Password is not required for non-financial transactions.
f) The app does not store MPIN or password. Hence if the phone is lost, there is no chance that password or MPIN can be stolen or retrieved. However, in case if phone is lost it is recommended to block Mobile banking until replacement SIM is obtained.

I use the sms service to check balance. I get a msg which makes no sense. I wish I could attach the screenshot with this post.

When user opens KBLApnaApp, it opens in chrome/default browser, instead it should open in the app itself.. You can make this app still more user friendly (looks good if you change the icons and menu bar).. Please work on the above mentioned points so that you can challenge other banks Mobile Banking App..

Quick IMPS is a good feature under SMS Banking. You can create Personal Payee using 1) IFSC and Account Number OR 2) MMID and Mobile Number During Payment, you need to pass Amount, 4-digit MPIN and Remarks. Try transferring Re 1 to your friend today.

Beneficiary transfer can be done using website easily but not with the app. beneficiaries added are not reflected in the app. The customer service center is always screwed up with lack of knowledge.

KBL APNA APPS IS NOT FULLY BASED ON APPS, ITS DIRECT TO WEB BROWER, WHICH IS DRAWBACK. KINDLY CONSIDER TO MAKE FULLY & 100% APPS BASED JUST LIKE KBL PASSBOOK APPS ELSE KARNATAKA BANK WILL REMAIN 5 STEP BACK THAN ANY OTHER BANKING APPS.

It's not an app if most of the work is done by chrome it's basically a bookmark for the Karnataka bank mobile website . The website is minimalistic . Gets the job done that's it. I'm actually worried about the security , I don't know how secure is it to browse through chrome .

Browser dependent app. It's better to transfer all the money to your another bank account and enjoy mobile banking. Quality team is a bunch of kids
