SANEDroid for Android
Does what I could not do with Epson Scan
Very good
F'ing awesome. I spent hours trying to figure out my scanner. Downloaded this app and within a few seconds my picture was on my phone!!
Took a few to figure out how to set it up, but once I did, it worked like a dream.
My pc failed and my tablet failed but app succeeded wonderfully.
6 stars.
Won't find it on the network. The Epson application does find it.
Finally got something to scan with my epson work force wf-3640. Epson's own scanner app for Android is pure garbage.
This works great with a Canon Pixma MG5550. It allows you to set the DPI manually, whereas the Canon app just removed this feature from their official app. Note: Don't touch *anything* in this app while scanning, or it will crash. But if you just wait it works without issues.
App is working as it should be, UI need some work however.
Like the title says...
Does a great job at what it's supposed to do.
Work
Works great! From download of app to first scan it was less than 2 minutes. No configuring. Clicked on find devices and my printer popped right up. Now if you could only make the app print from my phone......
SANE can use EPSON SX110 with epson2 backend. EPSON SX115 perfectly use this driver (in other linux), but SANEDroid can't use EPSON SX115 device. (Not found device.) :(
Using app on a tablet, main scan window is locked to portrait mode. Default scan directory needs a file picker UI (or callout to one). Need means to set username for remote xinetd / inetd daemon.
Rad
Scans more consistently, both initiation and completion, than Canon's Windows drivers or the Linux drivers for my Pixma mx920
This is the only one working scanner app for android devices
Works perfectly.
No usb support
Android
Finds my Canon PIXMA MP495 flawlessly, without the need of a dedicated Server. Scans with no problems. Has basic features. Could use more (i.e., Preview Mode, post scan bright/contrast adjustments [get rid of lines/specks], histogram, select default "Save" path, etc.) Need separate Donation Apps, no in-app nag ware ($1, $3 and $5). Choices are nice. Plugins to expand app, e.g. OCR-to-Text, etc. Keep up the good work!
Nice app
This app is amazing, does exactly what it is supposed to.
Downloaded the app, opened it, selected my pixma scanner which showed on the device list and selected scan! Doesn't get much easier. Perfect picture!
Congrats for this app. I use sane and multiples interfaces (linux, windows, phpsane) and this is a great alternative. I'm very excited with this iniciative. Some notes from my Motorola Razr D3 (XT920) ADF Both not working with EPSON GT-S55 ADF Continuos and page size source is needed.
Got an amazingly quick response from the developer to a question.

Outstanding! It detected my Pixma MX700 immediately and scans much faster than my PC does!

Works like a charm with the Epson NX430 But needs adding scan to pdf and multi scan to pdf
