Would you like to be notified whenever there's news about your favorite sports team or celebrity? How about news that affects your career, your community, or your school? My News Alerts will follow the news for you and let you know when a story you care about is published. My News Alerts lets you define a set of news-scanning rules. Each rule consists of:
1. A source. Choose from one of the pre-configured sources such as CNN, Fox News, People Magazine, ESPN, Car and Driver, Engadget, and many more, or add your own source. My News Alerts can monitor any web site or blog with an RSS feed.
2. One or more keywords to watch for
3. Alert type: play a sound, vibrate, flash your phone’s notification light, and/or display an icon and message on your phone or tablet’s status bar. You choose the alert type that best fits your lifestyle.

If this app actually worked, I would pay for it. For some reason, it just does not work. Uninstalled.

"It doesn't work at all for me." Was my review. It started loading the news feeds. I will post another review for you after I after I try it out some.

It's a useful app, but there a few bugs. Such as, the alerts window does not scroll until it has 2 or 3 items beyond the screen, so once a lost is built up you can only edit or remove those that fit on screen and if the url for the news source is wrong, you can only find out by turning logging on. The biggest problem with the app is that on the two phones I tried it on (HTC Desire and HTC Sensation), it caused the phones to crash and re-boot, so have to remove it off of both phones. It could be a great and useful app - however the reboot means I cant use it.
