Wireless Audio-Multiroom for Android
So very frustrated with endless updates and no real fixes. We have an R1 and R3 and it is constantly losing them. Have to regroup every time I use the app. When it works, it's great. Unfortunately those times are rare :( Update..... 8/21 now the app is totally unusable. Won't even open so I can use my NOT CHEAP Samsung speakers. Thanks for the reply Samsung, but I'm not sure what you are even asking.
I bought a new 55" Samsung Curved TV and now I can't get my Samsung speaker to connect to my TV! It's the whole reason I bought it! I've spent at least 15 hours trying to make it work! In my opinion this was a waste of $200 plus tax! UGH!
The app won't let me access anything if it is not connected the Wi-Fi. It just says "no Wi-Fi connection" & doesn't allow you to use the app. Kind of annoying when you simply want to use Bluetooth. Other than that, the app has been great.
It's basic, it's annoyingly separate and proprietary and it is so horribly unstable. Can you not just ditch this whole approach and provide a layer where we can control the speakers, but use other players, or cast etc. It would be far more useful that way than trying to (badly) reinvent the wheel you know... After updates that worked okish, the most recent update seems to make playing audio from an Emby server impossible.... The server tab comes up, the files are navigable, but as soon as you press play, you get unable to play errors. It's a horrible piece of software after using Google Chromecast software. I wouldn't be so critical but the Emby software is fine through the phone speaker, but of course, I can't play Emby directly to the speakers... Highly frustrating, the hardware is fine, but the software badly let's down the speakers.
Very Poor Application, it appears that every time you come to use this application, you have to effect some other tweaks, to get all the speakers to work, life of s too short! As for branded a Samsung, what price reputation?
Tried multiple times on multiple devices, even deleted the app and reinstalled but still will not work on the most basic level. Does not work with Google play or YouTube, Amazon music says it can't get some code, Pandora was saying that it's not available in my country (USA) but now just says there is no internet connection. I am completely frustrated with these speakers and application. I have genuinely never seen such a completely useless, non functional, waste of an application. I am surprised it was even functional enough to install and open. This is why I don't use samsung property applications.
I have been using this app for about a year - have a lot of configuration problem before but seems to be working well lately.
Nice app, but wish I could connect to my YouTube or Google Music playlists. Also, app seems to lose my Stereo groups randomly or if router is restarted!
Un ASCO esta aplicación no hay forma de usar los R1 (tengo 2) sin que se caiga el sonido cada 5 minutos. Ahora tratar de parearlos con un Smart TV Samsung es una tortura. La idea buena la app es una vergüenza
Still waiting.... I like the speaker's sound quality, but they really need to add support for Google play music and Amazon prime music. My guess, is they don't want to pony up a few bucks for rights to use those programs ....such a shame, would be a great product.
It doesn't work well..got 2 samsung wifi soundbar at home.i need to close the app everytime i need to transfer from 1 wifi speaker to another.or else it just keeps on searching.
Every time I open the app after the app after the last update it says No Speakers Found. I've given up resetting it now. Going to go back to Sonos.
Works well with Pandora...not sure about other apps. Randomly "forgets" or loses speaker group and I have to reset and reconfigure, which is a PITA. App is ok.
It was ok but when I play music from tweezer or any other places it skips ever 30 or so seconds
The drama continues.... Now connecting is a mess suddenly.
Still no support for my phones audio output (galaxy s7 edge) as a source to my 8 multiroom speaker's. #airplay killing the game.
Listen to users feedback. Allow us to use YTmusic or Google Play music without which this app has limited functionality.
Does everything I need, but sometimes with a little lag
Depends on how reliable your internet speed is and how many devices you are running. A Smart things hub helped.
Works flawless with Pandora, frequent disconnects with Spotify.
Server connection issues all the time!!!!! Fix
Not compatible with Apple music?!
At least add support for google music, that's all I need
7digital integration is broken
Add suport for YouTube!!!
All good, app is being updated on a regular basis
Great app....controls all my Samsung speakers great
Since the latest version. I am good.
Simply brilliant
A system that one can use with a Android device, but no Google music support. Why? Samsung sells a lot of Android stuff, but I guess hates Google. So I have two expensive speaker's and a hub that I barely use. Thank you Samsung
Why this app doesn't let me to use my music directly from device without WiFi on. I can't listen to the music nor on my phone nor via BT. I've got impression, that you doesn't understand that this should be universal app, not only for using with WiFi. And what with portable speaker WAM6500 outdoor, where isn't any WiFi range. You can not use this app. BAD.
Lots of issues: 1. Surround sound always forgets its group members and I have to re-setup all my speakers every time I want to watch something. 2. The bass cuts out whenever the speakers are in surround mode. 3. No support for Google music or Amazon music streaming. 4. When speakers are put in surround mode, the rears are so quiet you can't even hear them (even when the volume is at max).
Speakers sound great. A The app leaves a lot to be desired. I use the speakers daily, but I have to re-pair the speakers to the app at least 3 times a week. Groups get out of sync frequently. No replay button or option to view previous song details with Pandora in the app.
Can be subject to dropouts but the worst is no built in support for Google Play Music. This makes this a poor option for android users and has me researching Sonos instead.
Crashes every time I select Deezer as a music source. Would prefer to be able to cast music from the dedicated Deezer app than use this clunky mess of an app. Searches are hit and miss. Just an overall terrible user interface. I have two speakers and can't play Bluetooth music to both at the same time as a group or stereo pair unless I play through the multi room app. So I'm forced to suffer with this awful way to play music.
Have a house full of S/Sung speakers. Did not expect to have to pay a subcription (spotify) etc. to use them. Could you please include iheart radio for Aust & NZ customers in place of Pandora. Easy to use, Internet occasionally drops out, however that is not Samsung's fault. Love the app itself.
Works, most of the time. I have a Sung-sung tv, soundbar, plus multiple speakers throughout the house. The idea was to enable them all to work as surround sound when watching a movie. Even with about an hour on the phone with Samsung Tech support, did not work. Room speakers are regularly not found by the app. Once up and going out is fine. But it is troublesome.
Had this app and speakers for 5 days now and they are hopeless, worked the first day and then non stop problems. App continually forgets grouped speakers. Spotify won't identify speakers or connect unless I reset entire system (for the 5th time) Just spent $1k on these R5 speakers and will be looking to return if issues with music sync aren't rectified asap
Only to install soundbar, then useless. You need it to set up samsung soundbar and to connect it to TV easily. After that it has no purpose whatsoever. Also, it asks to much permissions. Removed after install.

I like the app for the most part, but one major issue is volume control, at least for my pixel xl: this app takes priority from anything else. Try turning up in call volume while on a call, speaker volume increases, in an app or watching a video and attempting to control that apps volume still changes Samsung speaker. I have to manually choose a sound device to change that item's volume, otherwise the volume up down from my phone is strictly Samsung. Please fix this.
