First id give it a 1 but it does play my music. I use this app for my wifes and I lounge, i was very hyped up about it i even hung mine like the concept pics. Long story short the app is...sloppy, id expect more from samsung, i have to reconnect my spewkers to wi fi about twice a week it goes crazy if i hit iheart radi and flashes between thst and amazon, and lately the speakers have been going in and out for 4-5 seconds at a time. They (samsung ) seem to responf to these reviews but always same answer...get it together guys we're running a business hete not having a backyard party.. if your ever in central Texas check out UP IN SMOKE HOOKAH LOUNGE! !
Great speaker let down by this app. Continually loses network settings. I have to reinstall at every session!!!!
Very poor attempt! Means I can only really use the sound bar when connected to my TV and not for music playback over wifi.
No amazon prime support for the UK. Even though it's available in the USA. Disappointed! Update required ASAP.
If you can't fix the problems then I might as well Uninstall this piece of junk and return my 4 R1 speakers back to Costco.
App is well designed and works flawlessly with my home wifi. Only issue I have is I got a Google play Music subscription with my S7 and it isn't supported
I will give 5 stars once it get Google Play Music support, it works great for my no problems or issues at the moment.
Installed on tablet and can no longer use iheartradio or other streaming apps on my phone, must use from my tablet
New upgrde bad cant play anything
Hi Samsung, can you update to show track/album images on the app?........something new has happened, can't seem to connect multiple speakers at one time....please fix this.
A recent update broke the playback functionality. You can play one song fine, but try to play an album and it will only play one song then stop.
I bought 5 speakers and a hub. They never group properly and cut out intermittently during playing. The app constantly has problems connecting to deezer. Samsung have no interest in fixing all these issues!! Do not buy these speakers!!!!!!
Even with all the bad reviews I loved the sound from these speakers in the store. I bought 4. I have used this ap on my Samsung smart phone and Nexus tablet. When everything works right the sound is amazing. Unfortunately while playing music the speakers ungroup and one will drop off. The app doesn't remember my sign ins for the various music services, so every time I want to use it I have to re connect speakers and sign in to music service. I have never got it to work right with Amazon music. Will return
Now missing access to hub WAM250 from settings. Please fix it.
Speakers drop out believe it could be caused by wifi channel config with other apartments might as well be super sluth to try and work it out BS...
Sound is beautiful, volume has such a wide range but cannot always group or surround the speakers. One hub, two speakers. Wish YouTube music was available to play. That would be great. Pandora is the best service so far, for us.
They disconnect many times during a 30 min show.
Sometimes it works and now it stopped working. "Server did not respond message.
Used to control a linkmate, to play radio, spotify and my synology media server contents over my (vintage) stereo set. No problems, sound is as expected. Hints for use: connect to 5GHz wifi, not to (the default???) 2.4 GHz!! My linkmate frequently stutters or stops when on 2.4GHz.
has huge potential but has stability and usability flaws. multiroom disconnects every now and then. app interface needs more work, some. This product could be a disruptor in the market if they focused on app development and stability and easy of use. it has the right idea just not as polished yet. landscape on tablet would be usefull
Unreliable and hard to use. Sick of trying to get it to work on my tab. Nowt for free in this life either.
It works, but the app UI is not very good. Would prefer the device volume control buttons to adjust linked volume icons only. Needs more services, such as Sirius xm.
Please please please please please please sort this app out or give me an alternative. I've paid good money for the speakers and now feel I am stuck cos the software SUCKS. Won't group speakers, drops in and out or just doesn't work. Help please
A bit clunky but once you have explored the various settings options it all makes sense, it does the job remarkably well. Easy to add more speakers and devices.
Set up all the two speakers once, then set them up on the non-tablet version on my phone. Tablet lost all settings and had to start again. Also, TuneIn radio fails to find Internet, though everything else on the device connects happily. Needs fixing.
Not bad app, good speaker products, and no Google Play Music support... Shooting yourselves in the foot guys seriously
I set everything up and it worked briefly. Now says there is no Internet connection and will not access content. My Internet connection and network are working normally for all other devices and connections. I have reinstalled app twice. New speakers are worthless.
Will not connect 2 M5 speakers to Samsung smart TV in stereo
This app over all is good and pretty bug free, however no option for LAN support and all my music is stored on another machine! Why on earth there is no sub controller on here for the multiroom soundbar is a total mystery!
Will Samsung ever make a product that works well? Deezer, Spotify won't work through this app, r7 speakers constantly loose connection when Internet connection is faultless, no help what so ever from Samsung technical support as they haven't got a clue about anything more technical than how to turn something on! The whole system is going back for a refund! Can't take anymore stress from Samsung!
2 or so years I've owned 2 M7, 1 M5, and the hub. I've waited patiently for Samsung to improve the ecosystem and to make it as stable as Sonos. The system is basically still an unscheduled liquid bowel movement. It works when it wants to. I have to reset the speakers or the hub almost on a daily basis. The last update made things worse, not that they were much better before. How the hell does a multi billion dollar company allow this? Hire some proper coders to fix this crap please.
Can't operate speaker from my pc. Samsung ack. Receipt of my email, then ignored it. Expected better service
The idea is good, but no support for google play music? Why? I have all my music in google play, not on my phone. It is an android app, you make android based phones, support it all the way then!
With soundbar and two rear speakers surround options are very basic. Needs to be more sophisticated to be a true alternative to a dedicated set up. Allowing speakers to be in multiple groups would be useful.
Needs google cast badly to be competitive.
I own a sound bar and 2 satellite speakers for surround in my living room and the app links the speakers but the volume on the satellites is almost non-existent. If you are looking for a good alternative to ditching all the stereo components don't do it! They are not ready. It can't be that hard
Lost ability to play music via AUX as an option since latest update. Expected better from Samsung
Works great from all our devices. I have not had any network issues that were not caused by the failure of my wifi router. Easy to control what plays.
Decent product, lacks Google music and suffers from occasional drop outs.

Speakers & app are great, but it NEEDS to support Google Play Music... Been waiting for a long time now and I will eventually have to switch to Sonos, if you can't get Google Music support done. Update: May 2016, still no Google Music :(
