About Samsung Mobile Insights

This application is intended to allow participation in the Samsung Mobile Insights. As a part of this initiative, this application collects both activity (applications you download, use, etc.) and device status information (charge level, network speed, etc.) and transmits the information in a secure manner to our servers. The data collected as a part of this initiative allows us to understand device usage patterns and potentially improve the customer experience with Samsung products.

Participation in this program is by invitation only.

If you have installed this application by mistake and do not have the activation password, please follow the steps below to uninstall the application.
1) Launch "Samsung Mobile Insights" application. Tap on "Cancel" button.
2) Go to Settings -> Application Manager. Tap on "Samsung Mobile Insights". Tap on "Uninstall" and tap on "OK".

Received phone through SIP Feb. 2016! The phone still does what I need without any issues. The battery life has diminished a lot and requires more frequent charging, but I attribute that to life cycle of the device. I am a long time user of Samsung mobile devices, and I love them!! Never had a desire to have an Apple, even though old wives tales say "an Apple a day keeps the doctor away"!!! With Samsung I just have annual checkups...lol!!!

No problems until recently. I keep getting a connection failed error. I absolutely love this program. UPDATE love the program. Still using it on my phone. No issues at all. Cant wait for another release.

I've been in this program for about a year now. I'm still completely in love with my note 5 that Samsung sent me. Although I do now have some battery issues that's almost to be expected with a phone that's pushing a year old. Would absolutely love to be considered in the next Samsung program.

Im pretty much Samsung's biggest fan. Im giving them 5 stars just for the fact that when I need reliable serious hardware that does not limit me in any way...Samsung is the name I look for, period. I am only a few weeks into their Mobile Insight Program but I am happy to help them make their products better and they can learn a thing or two from my usage because I put my Samsung devices to serious use from flying drones to social media to about every net connected device you can think of lol. I have my fingers seriously crossed that I can be a part of their mobile phone program where they actually send you a phone to use! How awesome would that be! Thanks again for letting me be a part of your program :)

Got my s6. Used for 7 months and the thing is so bogged down. Never got any surveys. I need to do a factory reset but can't because of app. Emailed samsung insight per instructions and now response back. I can hardly use the phone anymore. Very bad idea to make the app lock phone down so much.

I was very happy with the Insights program, but I have been trying to deactivate for half a month now. Have sent 4 emails and no response. UPDATE: After leaving a review I was promptly contacted and was able to deactivate. Too bad it took 2 and a half weeks, 4 emails, and a review to do. Updating from 2 to 4 stars.

I had absolutely zero issues with the app (no lag on the phone, no issues with battery life, extremely easy to set up and get started). It took a little longer to get get the deactivation code than I would've liked, but I digress. In the end the phone was free, and the app was painless.

After the required time for the survey there is NO WAY to get rid of it!! Keeps running and eating battery. HOW DO I DELETE THIS APP? I've had the phone for almost TWO years and am still being told I have to Update the Mobile Insights app! I want it OFF my phone! All it does is eat my battery life. Got the removal info and removed the app! THANK YOU!

This is my second phone and I was really happy with the first, this one not so much. The note was amazing but the galaxy s7 not as good. The battery life is very very short. I don't have very many apps running, maybe 4 or 5, but from 100% battery life, within 2 hours it is at less then 50%. If that was improved I would love this phone!

Emails to get deactivation code are coming back to me. Who do I email to get the code??? Come on Samsung you are better than this! Phone is so slow! Tell me how to remove the app already! Update...Samsung did contact me right after posting the negative review and I was able to remove the app. I adjusted me review accordingly.

I've now been waiting 7 days for a deactivation code and no response from proper channels. Everything is well orchestrated until the deactivation point. No slowing my phone down, no interruptions or problems. Print initial emails with instructions because you'll need them.

The app is alright, uses a little bit of extra battery but hardly notice it's even there. The program is great, get to help Samsung debug and test their phones.

Thank you Samsung for accepting me into your program. I love the Note phone lines and am extremely pleased with my Note 5 you sent to me several months ago. App has minimal battery drain and does not slow phone down whatsoever.

Thanks for the update! I was having pretty bad battery drain issues and this update has improved that dramatically. 4PM today and still at 46%. Thanks for the opportunity first of all, the battery life is a great bonus!!

Always liked Samsung devices except battery life. But the battery on my Note 5 does not last more than 12-15 hours. I hopefully the next device from Samsung will have enough juice to last 24 hours even for heavy users like me. Would like see 4K recording on my Note 5.

My note 5 just came yesterday. I installed the program and it force closed a bunch of times and now it will not leave the recent screen and is using a lot of battery power. Hopefully an update soon fixes it. Thanks again!!!

Excellent service but battery usage is a lot, maybe around 15% for a day so it's draining very quickly... edit: 1 month later and app still kills phone battery

Been using this app for a couple months and it hasn't messed with my battery life at all. My wife received a survey recently, hopefully we will be lucky enough to get her on this app as well. Samsung for life!

It'll turn on GPS occasionally for a second, but it just turns it off when it's done. Thanks for the opportunity Samsung.

I had to update my previous review. I've been in this program for a few years now. I still use my galaxy s5 and have kept the program on it. A couple of months ago I got the opportunity to receive the tab s2. The app runs beautifully on this tablet. It doesn't drain the tablet at all. I still have a few drainage issues on my galaxy s5 since the last update., but I still have no complaints.

Great program, free phone if app is kept on phone for 6 months. Awesome. If you've fulfilled your contract and are ready to remove the app, don't forget to deactivate in play store AND in device administration under settings. I'll tell anyone I know about this program. 5+
