Remote Viewfinder for GC

all this app does is install then tells you to install a different samsung app why does it need all these permissions just to say go away??

Need to re-release this app. Nothing else works with Galaxy Cameras. Thanks

The app says that it's redirecting me to the new app but I just get this error every time. I've uninstalled and re-installed time and time again but the same thing happens. I used this app a lot and now can't use it at all. Please fix this ASAP. It was one of the main purposes I purchased the Galaxy Camera

Used to work beautifully on my Nexus 4, now "Not available on this smartphone". What did you do to break it?

Very handy and useful app to remotely control the GC, very easy setup and access to most of the important controls.

This app now directs us to the new app. The new app doesn't work. Zero support from Samsung. Why should we support you Samsung. You never support your customers.

I just bought the Samsung Galaxy digital camera 2 yesterday. I found this stuff about remote viewfinding and picture taking. Sounded cool. I read all the negative comments - but went ahead and downloaded this app anyway. Managed to get it synced up and VIOLA! It actually seems to work - with some serious 'laggage' in viewing your subject matter. I tried a selfie, and when I moved, it took a couple seconds to catch up. But it seemed to work as advertised. I have Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on my Razr MAXX.

All the app does now is point you to a "new" app that only supports cameras made in 2013 or newer. Where's the love for us first gen owners?

Its works..but it has to upgrade interface littlebit...and mobile zooming is little bit slower Dan zooming from camera...

I have a Note 2 and a Galaxy 2 Camera. When i open the app it wants me to open the SMART App, which only shares pics...HOW DO I GET TO USE THE REMOTE VIEWFINDER!!!

Original Review: It makes taking family pictures with a 1 year old, 4 year & a dog easy. I would have never been able to do such a picture without this app, or a dedicated photographer.............UPDATE AS OF 9/21/2013: WHEN I TRIED TO USE IT ON MY PHONE IT SAYS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY PHONE. I LOVED THIS FEATURE AND RELIED ON IT A LOT SO PLEASE UPDATE PROMPTLY.

Excellent concept; poor execution. Connection between Galaxy Camera and Galaxy S3 drops even before you can shoot a photo. Fix this, please. It is a tremendous selling point for both products, but right now it doesn't work. If there are settings that we need to change on the Wi-Fi connection, let us know.

No functions at all. Even if I had to download 2 apps in order for it to work, it has no functionality other than taking a picture with auto-random quality. No zoom in possible, gps tags are wrong, preview on my tab looks like 320×480px, no costumization possible. Usability is zero. Interface acceptable. Is it really made by samsung? Totally disappointing.

I hope future updates will include more features such as tap to focus, expert mode and smart mode.

This app sounded awesome. But when I click to open the app it tells me I need to update. When I click OK, it takes me right back to Play store & the Samsung Smart Camera app page. Useless loop

Remote viewfinder was great while it lasted. No longer use able since updates for camera installed. Did work fine before, nx300 & note 2

I have a WB150F digital camera which is also capable of this remote viewfinder. This app just redirects my Galaxy S Duos to the latest app for later camera models, which is not compatible with my phone. Now I cant use the full potential of my WB150F. Very disappointing.

Guys, I bought a Galaxy Camera and the Galaxy Tab 7.0 specifically for the Remote View finder application. Why? Because I take pictures of Roofs and other hard to reach areas. This is a sizable investment for my small company for something that now doesn't work and I advertise to my clients. Here is my solution and you can do this right away. 1. Take away the forced update that takes you to the Playstore for the new app . 2. Let people install/reinstall this app because it works. Unfortunately your new app has a lot of problems.See the comments below. Problems with the new app include the following: 1. Doesn't remember the settings. I.e. Picture size . You have to reset the picture size every time you use it.. 2. I take 1 picture and it says preparing to stream...then it doesn't allow you to take another picture. 3. Time it takes to connect is abnormally long...sometimes it doesn't connect at all. All this is making me look like I don't know how to operate my equipment and I have to spend unnecessary time trouble shooting on-site! By the Way..I have a Galaxy Camera GC-GK100 manufactered in 2013 . + Galaxy Tab 2.0 , 7 inch

Tries to force user to update to incompatible app, won't run without update, and won't connect to camera after update. So dumb!

Always worked. Now cannot get app to open says not for this smartphone. Not happy about this.

Samsung released this specifically for the Galaxy Cameras and that's pretty cool of them until you realise that it'll only work with GC's made 2013 onwards as it relies on NFC technology to do its magic and any camera made before then doesn't contain NFC (Near Field Communication). Not very fair if you ask me. More stars if they fix the issue.

The update now seems good.......it connects the phone directly to the camera!!!!...still zoom option is to be improved......

I would give it 0 stars if possible. And what does "not available IN this smart phone" mean? 0 stars for bad ingrishb used. Gs4 user. Please update and upload. And use the right exclamation icon this time!
