Remote Viewfinder

I can place my camera anywhere and then use my phone to take pics remotely!!!! It even zooms in and out! Took me a minute to figure this out and I did have to download the Smart Camera App,and once I went through and read everything slowly instead of jumping thinking I knew what I was doing ( I didn't ) it all came together and I couldn't be happier!!! Love all 3 of my Samsung items, Samsung Note 2014 Edition Tablet,Samsung Wi-Fi Camera which I LOVE! & my Samsung S4 phone!! All of them paired togther now!!

The Galaxy Note 2 will not maintain the wireless connection to the camera. It shuts down the connection claiming the link speed is too slow. Solution =disconnect auto network switching in Advanced WIFI settings. Suddenly it works.

It's great to have this available. The only way to capture shy wildlife is to set up the camera, hide, and watch the viewfinder on tablet or phone. The downside is limited functionality. It should be more of a remote control for the camera, at least able to start and stop video recording.

works sporadically on camera. Connection it's biggest issue, also lag. REALLY NEED TO ADD VIDEO CAPTURE FUNCTION. This would improve the app considerably.

I installed this app on my Google Nexus tablet. It takes a bit of practice to get the tablet to transfer to the camera Wi-Fi signal when it is connected to a local Wi-Fi network but once connected it is great. For self portraits you just have to remember to look at the camera, not the tablet, when you take the photo.

It disconnects quite often. Zooming is extremely slow. It would be great if it had video recording function too.

Samsung needs to review their camera connectivity feature. They offer a few methods but none of them do the job. I have SH100 BTW

I'm using galaxy note ll..please fix this problem...Every times I wanna connect to my nx300 it's say like it's not connect and incompatible....Please fix this problem...I really need it!! But it's just work fine on my tab...both of them are latest jellybeans android...

Requires you to download the Samsung smart camera app which doesn't allow you to control the camera. Just shared photos. Worthless.

Useful only if you don't care about picture quality. This app should be able to control all camera functions in any operational mode. This is well expected for camera worth $700+. Samsung why don't you follow Google's steps and bring your apps in open source area?

just one thing why can you only take a picture and not record a video i do understand the idea of but i would benefit from being able to record

used to be compatible with my nx1000; now it says not compatible. lame.

I got a samsung wb380f smart camera for Xmas 2015. The settings are intangible using this app. It's intangible in the camera and the app. Truly dissatisfied.

Give full control for camera with this app please, not only auto mode, we need program too.. improve that please,

No priblems with set up and function on s6 with older (2012) wb150f camera. Only works over the same wi-fi network, so good for a remote in your house, that's about it. Most annoying to me is that the camera sounds come on even if you turn everything off in camera settings. I guess they don't want you to use as a spy cam? but I wanted to use sometimes as a baby/kid monitor and take sleepy/candid kid photos, but not going to risk waking sleeping child!

I'm so disappointed. nothing other than basic functionality. Absolutely ridiculous. Does Samsung think we will be wowed by this nonsense. Regardless of how long ago the app was developed.

It closes as soon as i start it and its all the time. Why force stop? Someone can help me to fix this problem,please?

My Galaxy Note 3 says "Network disabled because Internet connection is slow. " Camera and phone are right next to each other!

Had the same update problem a couple of months ago, but now it works great with my Note 3. Wish it had timer so we can time the picture after pressing the shutter button.

closes and forces user to use smart cameda app. then only 10mp shots allowed with a 16mp camera??

I agree with Megan from August 11, 2013. This app goes round and round in circles after saying the SMART CAMERA APP should be running, but when it IS running - this app says it CANNOT run. It says it connected to my Samsung ST150F - but it is an INCOMPATIBLE DEVICE!!!??? The list of compatible devices says otherwise - FROM REGISTERED DEVICES WITH SAMSUNG!! Also, What is up with the disclaimer at the bottom in parenthesis? (MAY NOT OPERATE NORMALLY IN SOME DEVICES)??? SOME DEVICES??? I guess when it doesn't work - the developer can say - That must be one of the devices it DOESN'T OPERATE NORMALLY ON!!! It's been over a year since Megan wrote her review - so what's up with this app? CAN IT BE UPDATED? And if so, WHEN??? What does it take?? Hey, I have an IDEA - HOW ABOUT A LIST OF DEVICES IT ACTUALLY DOES WORK WITH?? (But then that would probably be a very short list!!)

Ran flawlessly for my nx 300 then all of a sudden, nope nothing. I guess I'm being forced to upgrade. It didn't last a year.

All I get anymore is camera not compatible I'm tired of all these updates that supposedly fix things and then they no longer work. Quit messing with it if it is working don't screw it up by trying to make it better

Can't connect using a Nexus 6, or a Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. I get "A camera that is not compatible with the current application has been connected". Samsung, fix this! The Remote Viewfinder app is on my NX300 under WiFi, so why won't this work?

So has a dedicated Samsung fan I already had a Galaxy S4. For Christmas I decided to splurge on myself. I bought The Note 10.1 and a Camera WB250F. Happy for my purchase of the camera I downloaded this app in time for Christmas pictures next week. Pre playing with my Phone and Camera I found out this app does not even work. So many apps downloaded because the camera said so and all I can do it basically share the photos between the 3 devices. So many dedicated buyers and so many bummed buyers. FIX THIS APP

I got a Samsung camera for christmas and the instruction booklet said I could use this app for remote shots. That's the main reason I even got this camera! Every time I try to open this app it won't work and directs me to the smart camera app, which only let's me view photos and nothing else. What the hell? If u can't even use the remote app feature that was so highly recommended and advertised, what's the point?

Dear samsung please fix it i cannot connect my nx 300 with my note 3 already connect wifi on it, just make sure that your commercial came true so i can boose samsung what samsung smart camera can do please ( this is important ).

Nice app but would love more features to control remotely especially time lapse! Wouldn't that be great! Works well with my nx1000.

I made very beautiful and interesting photos with this app when riding alone with my motorbike. But there is no zoom yet.

Many features disabled when using remote viewfinder. Adding timelapse would be nice.

Im using a Samsung galaxy nx dslr camera which runs android and im trying to use this app with my samsung galaxy note 3 and the app continues to says "waiting on camera to connect" and i have already connected the camera and phone via wifi and have done this 3-4 times or more. Even tried connecting them both bluetooth and rebooted the app. Complete waste of time

Samsung galaxy note 3 ... come on get it right .. or Samsung will be the thing of the past ... when upgrades come

So it ONLY works over wireless and I can't change ANY camera settings other than flash or timer? Why wouldn't it use bluetooth so people can use it wherever they want? Very nerfed and very disappointed. I was looking forward to this app and had I known it was so vanilla, I may have chosen a different camera. Please add better support, Samsung!

Can we use this apps to control the duration of shutter, in bulb within the aperture priority mode. Best if could cater for this function!

Please provide updates as this app keeps crashing when open on my phone (LG-P880 4X HD) "Sorry. Unfortunately, Smart Camera App has stopped" I am using NX1000 Camera.
