Samsung Pay

Great App! I gave 4-stars only because I've changed phones 3 times and the App did not re-populate 3 Amazon gift cards I'd purchased through the App and had saved in the App only. I was able to find a phone screenshot of one of giftcards. But unfortunately, I guess I'll have to call customer service to see if they retrieve the others :-(

Worked like a charm. It never fails when I start to hold my watch or phone up to the reader the cashier says "oh were not setup for that!" as their receipt starts printing. As they look at me like I'm sort of wizard from the fifth dimension I just smile and say "it's a Samsung." Usually it ends with them commenting something along the line of that's awesome, if they're not totally speechless that is. Amazingly awesome product, well done.

Great system that helps bridge the gap for stores with older systems that don't support android pay or Apple pay. Please add the option to specify if I want to use NFC or MST, many terminals give a read error on the mag strip while trying to pay with NFC and in end up using Android pay at stores with certain types of readers. If I could set the app to NFC only at times that would relieve a lot of the issue.

I've been using the app for over a year. Its great and fun attention getter when it works, which is about a 50 50 chance. It's not the card reader because it will work sometimes on the same one it wont work on. It takes more than one try very often. I will not use it if there is someone behind me in line. The reason why is its far to unpredictable. When it doesnt want to work after a couple tries I end up using my card.

Great app. I forgot my cards one day at Target and I was going to call my husband to bring my wallet and bam there it was the samsung pay. People that give this a negative are the ones that do not know how to operate a phone. You don't like it then go on app on disable it or you don't like the notifications then take it off. Easy to use and comes in handy.

Well looks like I have to change my rating again. App crashes every time I open it and can't get do anything to help. "Can't connect to server try again later" I've reset, uninstalled then reinstalled, clear cache, etc. And nothing is helping. Called samsung they said they'd call back in 24 to 30 hours. Hoping for a fast response and solution (so far my experience on response fro. Samsung is good) will change rating if response is quick and a solution is found to fix my issues

I finally found a place where S-pay does not work as intended. My local grocer recently upgraded their point of sale system to read credit card chips. For some reason, I can't use my phone to pay with my B of A VISA with a chip. But only at that store -- everywhere else works great! This is really a very good app.

At first I was skeptical until I talked to my bank regarding whether or not it's a safe method. After a short conversation my worries were put at ease and I tried it out. Super easy and pretty convenient. I think it would be awesome to have receipts integrated into the app, kind of like Square payments have emailed receipts.

Okay, I did my first pay on a dumb card reader (no NFC) and it worked like a freaking charm!!! Now support more cards like Chase and you'll have my 5 star rating! This is the future and goes far beyond just normal Tap and Pay systems like Android and apple pay. Was enough to keep me with Samsung. Now with the s7 edge from my s6 edge.

Works okay but is a bit too "chatty". Pop ups, alerts, notifications, stars, overlays. Really ought to start more minimal and broadcast additional functions after a few uses. You may be able to configure them off but that takes more effort to deep learn an app that's supposed to be about convenience.

I came from Apple and now I'm never going back! Samsung Pay alone has become my most utilized day to day application. Places where I could not use Apple pay, Samsung Pay worked like a charm. Also in situations where a small corner store or random shop had your most basic card reader for purchases, I loved seeing the amazement in their eyes when I showed them that Samsung Pay worked on their readers! One store that I visit almost every day, the owner bought a Samsung S7 because he was so taken back by how cool this feature alone is. This is something that sets Samsung apart from the competition. They beat Apple pay by offering a rewards system and larger compatibility with credit cards, debit cards, and loyalty cards from a variety of companies. Seriously if you haven't used Samsung Pay yet, now it's time. Another example is when I first started using Samsung Pay, I kept forgetting my debit card in the car. Instead of having to go back to my car to get my card, I tried to use Samsung Pay and literally every time it would work. A life saver to say the least.

Work amazing on my phone, but after the first time I use it in my Gear S3 my battery goes from lasting three days to barley making it a whole day. I've had to factory reset the watch three times already to fix it. It is EXTREMELY inconvenient. Please fix soon.

Make the promotions for the watch and phone the same and you will get 5 stars.. I don't mind the notifications. They tend to tell me that I can get free money. People need to quit complaining over one small thing

Awesome. Haven't found a place I can't use Samsung pay (aside from online purchases). My friends who try to use their Apple pay are never able to get it to work, but Samsung pay has yet to fail me. Plus you earn points for every purchase, which you can redeem for gift cards/rewards cards. It's essentially free money just for using an easier payment method!

Frustrating app. Used to work everywhere. About 2 updates back it just stopped.. gets declined or errors everywhere except chic-fila-a. Lol Loosing my Platinum status because it won't work. I give up. 7k points for no reason. Would love customer service to call me to fix this thing.

Originally I was at 3 stars. After multiple "card read errors" since the last update I'm fed up. Worked great before that. Now it's a bigger pain cuz I go through the process of trying to use my phone. then have to hold up everyone while I dig out my wallet to find the real card. Update for 2017. Either card read error or declines everywhere I go. The card it ties to works fine and I have the funds. May be time to try Android pay.

The only problem with this app is that not enough people know about it. I'm always having to tell people 'yes it will work with your machine.' It's cool to watch their surprise when it works though. It's easy, convenient, you can earn points, quicker than getting my card out of my wallet. Love it!

Invasion of privacy. No matter how many instructions you complete, this app DOES NOT allow you to stop notices, promotions, updates. This is POOR CONDUCT. I have done EVERYTHING and notifications still appear. I filed an official complaint with Samsung. No other app has crossed this line of privacy. SAMSUNG FIX THIS NOW.

Always running in background. Can read all of your data on your phone at all times. Unable to Force Stop for more than a few minutes. No way to stop the app. I want to disable but Samsung wants to know everything that you do with your phone. Going Iphone with next phone. Samsung let me disable or uninstall your apps on MY Phone.

I love this app, This app is the best, I love paying with the phone, is much easier and fast, and no just that, for each transaction you will get points, I already have won a $100 gift card from Sephora using the points! And works in each terminal, even when the employees tell me that the phone doesn't work in their terminal, I prove them the opposite. Lol

Galaxy S8. I like the app overall, effectively stores merchant reward cards and that it seems to be preferred by merchants. But it only works about 65-70% of the time...other times I've had to use my physical card after 4 or 5 failed attempts.

Honestly Samsung Pay is one of the reasons I no longer carry a wallet. I consider jumping ship from Samsung to another phone manufacturer and then remember I'll lose Sam Pay. It's just too convenient. As soon as Samsung abandons Bixby and gives me a Google Assistant button, I'll have a perfect phone.

Worked great the first 4 times, now I can't get it to work at all. S8+, when it worked there was a "tab" you would pull up to initiate the payment. That has disappeared and I see no option in the app itself to bring it back or manually make the payment. Please advise

Its easy to use. Cant beat being able to pay with your phone. You almost always have your phone, but might forget your wallet or card. The reward points makes it nice as well. Why not earn things for doing your normal shopping or extra shipping. Free stuff is always good.

Best mobile payment app on the market. The notifications are a bit much. Samung should let users decide whether they want to keep it on their device or remove it, at the least, let them disable it. Then again, for all the naysayers: you wouldn't be getting notifications if you weren't using the app.

Super convenient. My wallet in my phone. Really love using it where tap to pay is not available..."it's not going to work" and then ding payment made... The look of bewilderment makes up for the lack of support in comparison to Apple pay

It won't accept my visa card, because it doesn't have raised numbers. Once I managed to talk with someone to add it, even though my bank (Community Credit Union of Florida) is listed, it always says that the bank is not supported. The bank has no idea what's wrong, since on their end everything is fine. This is way too frustrating. I'll just use my stupid cards.

works everywhere with a real card terminal as long as the cashier lets you try multiple different ways. Does not work on magstrip readers that plug into usb port on desktop computers the data comes through incorrectly for security reasons I imagine as these readers just transfer card info into the webpage on their browser not at all secure.

I LOVE using my phone for purchases! (My 1st attempt took 3 tries to go through ...but it worked -and the cashier was SHOCKED!) The future is here and I'm never going back, baby!

It never allows use without a popup request to "set Samsung as default" . Can cancel out with semi-functional use, but with each new page in Samsung Pay getting the popup and having to cancel popup before moving forward. A nuisance and discouraging move for Samsung. I'll stick with other pay sources then.

I love it, I try to use our every time I need to swipe. Super convenient & I can't lie it's a bit impressive to those using old phone even thought I have it on my s7 edge also, I didn't I would forget about it. Don't know why but it feels less gimmicky since the release of the S8. With the rewards program it's an added bonus.

Just try and make it a little quicker otherwise it's great. Holding a phone for 15 seconds is sort of slower then just swiping sometimes but thanks. App is great and I love when cashier's say it won't work and the receipt prints out

Unable to update to latest version. Hitting the update button sends me to the app page in the Play Store, instead of taking me to the screen to download the update. Samsung tech support fix this issue please and I'll rate the app the higher rating it deserves.

The app is simple to use, even as a newbie. I found the right timing to go to the cash register. I waited for traffic to minimize and swiped my debit card and I felt a pulsing in the device. It allowed 30 seconds for me to complete the transaction and the clerk seemed to know how it worked while I was in the middle of it. She instructed me to move my device in a swiping motion as if I was swiping my atm card. And I heard a notification from Samsung pay, and the cash terminal received my card with no flaws. Well, one incident for some reason it only accepted me to select debit, no credit which I usually use.

I have been using Samsung Pay and accumulated enough points so I can play the instant wins. So I played for the kids tablet plus the 50% coupon Samsung kids program. I spun the wheel and it landed on instant winner and all I received was the 50% off code. I called Samsung Pay and the rep told me I wasn't't a winner and that sometimes it says winner but its a a glitch. So just for playing I got the 50% code only. The Ad didn't say win a tablet "OR" the code. It read Tablet "AND" code. I will spread the word of what happened to my family and friends about this so the don't spend their points on false advertisement.

I was freaking out thinking that it wasn't working, but then it sent a payment and I was incredibly surprised. So lucky that this exists. I was stuck in an airport for 5 hours and had no cards or cash.

It's a great app. I wish more places I shopped had this tap pay option. I just wish it supported more cards. Thank you for adding Discover and Capital One. Now add Barclay's and Chase business cards to your bank list and we are golden. Overall. I'm ecstatic with it.

Works basically everywhere. Like it better than Apple Pay and I have even setup Android Pay because Samsung Pay is so good. A few of my cards don't work and hopefully they can continue adding more Banks and institutions to the service.

Well... went to Wal-Mart (Just one example) it's pouring rain out. As I'm slowly moving toward the check out, I realize I don't have my wallet. Just as I sigh & plan my embarrassing escape, my Samsung watch vibrates & notifies me that Wal-Mart accepts Samsung Pay. Freaking awesome! Worked perfectly! This was my 1st experience using Samsung Pay & won't be the last! I would recommend to anyone. Not to knock the other smart pay platforms out there but it seems to me that Samsung is more widely accepted. THANK YOU Samsung Pay!
