S7Edge - no EQ, and other features are missing. App description indicates only one function is S8-dependent but the S7s and Note 5 running 7.0 Nougat are not showing the other controls that would make this a worthwhile app, even though the app description above says these models DO have EQ and other controls. Is this your version of a phone adventure / puzzle game, Samsung? Total fail on release.

I definitely needed the option to use the volume keys to control the media volume versus the ring tone, which should be built into the OS. Another feature that would be great is an override for the volume level warning. Sometimes when that warning pops up my phone is locked in my pocket and I'm using bluetooth headphones so in order to OK the override I have to stop what I'm doing, unlock the device, press the OK button, and then return to what I was doing before. Other than that, great app!

Fine control and remapping the volume buttons shouldn't need a separate app but I'm glad to finally have it as I was already using another 3rd party app to get fine volume control anyway. Not sure the other features help me, but pleased to see this start.

To those not able to see individual app volumes in the settings, try turning on the floating button and then make sure the app like Spotify is playing audio. This will trigger the app to show Spotify in the app sound settings. Also, to see the equalizer, you need to enable that floating button. Wish Samsung had an app to teach you how to use their apps.

The only bad thing is that when you turn up the bass the treble gets much lower in volume. I wish that they could leave the treble level intact, and then raise the bass and make a stronger. That's what other equalizers do.

This is useless other than for the mono sound feature and stereo balance adjuster at least on the S6. Otherwise, the scenarios are pretty useless because it can only schedule sound to be set to vibrate. You cannot set the sound to turn on when you get home. And it does not support location detection. The built-in system volume slider candy precisely adjusted, so this app is not useful for granular volume adjustment unless you need to have your volume at 52% exactly. So overall it is a poor effort that should have built into the phone operating system.

It's a good BETA test of an idea but until you allow switching of scenarios based on GPS location and the ability to assign ringtones and notifications to those scenarios, it not really use. All you can do right now is set you phone to vibrate.

No support for Google MAPS apparently to play separate audio thru phone when Poweramp app is playing thru Bluetooth. That's like the ONE THING I wanted to do with this app. Don't know who's fault that is but still... it'd be nice

What a thoughtful feature app from Samsung. I always wished my phone allowed me to control individual app volumes. For example when I drive my car, I use Google maps or Waze for navigation and use Google play music or Spotify for playing music. I want to play music at lower volume but even the navigation instructions from Google maps come at a lower volume which are not very audible. So you have to turn up volume to listen to instructions, but then your music plays too loud. Waze allows you to control its volume within its app settings. But music apps like Spotify don't. As an alternative what I do currently is to go to equalizer settings in the music apps and turn down all the bars by 30% so that music plays at lower volume compared to maps navigation instructions. But now with this Samsung app, you can control individual app volumes as you want. I set music apps volume 30% lower. So my navigation instructions are louder than my music. Cheers! Reasons such as these are what I love about Android, you can personalize your phone as you prefer, not just what the Apple dictates you need.

Love the idea, but the ongoing notification all day that my "work" preset is in effect is a deal breaker. If that could be removed and change settings in the background or just a 1 time notification you could dismiss it'd be a home run.

This app is useless for Galaxy S7 and there's no reason why all the features not available. I do have Galaxy S8 and all the features only work on that phone. Only get this app if you have Galaxy S8

Doesn't include fine volume control for s7 on nougat. Come on guys. Was really excited for this feature!-been waiting years for this option on android. Please add asap and ill amend my review

Features are missing. Where is the soundalive feature??No individual app volume available on S7. Am I missing something? Can't seem to find the sound quality and effects which is what it is for, correct? This app does nothing on my phone.

C70%
by C####:

App is very useful and works well. I think soundalive needs adjustments with music balance (bass and vocals). Bass decreases the vocal sound. I want them to stay balanced as i like bass but it doesn't sound as good when vocals have been decreased

We need to talk, Dear samsung,  As a user of your phone's for years now, I've noticed something with your company, exclusivity with new phone's. Yes I understand why you would want people to buy the "new" product but what about all the people who have purchased your products from yesteryear? I like the fact that you have giving us Sammy fans a new audio app but why leave the s7 out if all the features, it's not because it just won't work on these 1 year old phone's but because you have alternative motives. Other phone company's have no problems giving all new features with new apps and updates when the hardware can support it and I know the s7 can support most all new things like say, all the features of this new samsung audio assistant app. It's great you bought us thus new app, it was much needed but many like me don't see a reason to update from the s7 edge to the s8 as the s7 edge is still my favorite looking and performing device. So please just give the s7 family all the options that the s8 have that's missing in the next few updates. Sincerely a long time phone fan.

Looks like another useless app from Samsung! Even will you learn!! Floating app & equaliser features not available on S7 edge!!

C70%
by C####:

A wonderful app. This app addresses really any issue of control of audio that you have had. I love the ability to listen to music while I stream the game. I also love being able to ensure that media wont come blaring out of my speakers at work without headphones.

C70%
by C####:

Seems like another useless app, give us more useful apps like Goodlock, this seems like a waste of time and resources. This could have been incorporated into the os with a ota update

C70%
by C####:

I have s8 and no apps show up in the list to control app volume independently. Please fix this. Not very useful without this feature working.

C70%
by C####:

Overall I love this application and it is working perfectly with my S8+ Only one request, please could you make it possible to have the floating widget to be positioned anywhere on the home screen rather than just on the left or right.... great work developers

C70%
by C####:

The constant notification, even when turned off, are extremely annoying. Please allow notifications to be blocked. Otherwise it's a good app.

C70%
by C####:

I have an S8 but I cannot access the EQ, nor can I specify different volumes per app. Is there something additional I must do to enable these features?

X70%
by X####:

This app looks to be a great feature. I'm just starting to play around with it. There is one feature that looks interesting. In theory it looks to allow me to have two app playing such as Pandora and navigation, but have navigation playing through my phone instead of my radio

C70%
by C####:

Good addition. For individual app sound levels it would be easier or more expected to be able to add them from the settings menu. Current option to add individual sound levels isn't quite obvious (open app, play something with sound, click floating button and adjust level)

U70%
by U####:

Apart from the remapping of the volume keys, which should be part of the OS, it does nothing new. The scenarios are pretty useless, would be nice if you could set different volume levels at certain times

C70%
by C####:

Useless junk for s7 users. Nothig to customise, no apps for individual volume control. Just turns ringtone volume control buttons into media control.

U70%
by U####:

It's a good concept but wish all the features were available for the s7 Edge. But I have a feeling soon they will be. Would like to beta test this app thogh if possible for new features on my s7 edge and give more feed back.

E70%
by E####:

I like how now we get the option to make the volume keys leave the ringtone alone but I hate how the app says that it has a scenario active that has the phone on vibrate but randomly switches back to sound out of nowhere when it's supposed to stay active until a specific time. When it randomly switches my scenarios off it sometimes messes with the ringtone volume too but the notification and app both say that the scenario is actively on vibrate when it's obviously back to sound on.

C70%
by C####:

Great start! The fact that i could change the default volume key of my s7 edge from ringtone to media volume control is already a great feature for me. Edit: Thank you for the reply. The individual app volume control does work! You just need to use the floating app to configure each app's volume. Changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars =)

O70%
by O####:

S7 edge and hardly does any of the things listed. No EQ options, no individual volume control, no fine volume control. Only useful thing it does is remap the volume controls to always be media rather than ringtone volume. Hardly worth having a permanently running program just to do that. Such a disappointment. I'm learning to be disappointed with Samsung software but this one was like unwrapping a Christmas present to find an empty box.

C70%
by C####:

Cool idea, but unstable. Quit and restarted several times while listening to Samsung music app. Also seems to disable the Samsung music app Smart Volume auto volume level adjustment.

C70%
by C####:

It's ok, but doesn't offer anything special that isn't already available on the S7. It just makes it easier to access those features.

C70%
by C####:

Please add Mute mode instead of Vibrate only, in scenarios. Individual app volume is not available on the S7 Edge.

C70%
by C####:

Where is the individual app volumes option? It's not listed as an S8 exclusive feature. Using an S7 and everything else works.

N70%
by N####:

Not a bad first attempt but scenarios need to support a given duration, rather than just a start and end time so they can be called on ad-hoc, e.g. when watching a movie. i.e. replicate the features found in apps such as Shush! Ringer Restorer.

by V####:

One feature makes it wonderful: CONTROL MEDIA VOLUME! Thankyouthankyouthankyou and once again thank you. I've been missing this ever since switching from the iPhone... I sure don't want to use my volume-buttons to control ringtone volume ever.

B70%
by B####:

In some reason I can't customize sound level of a lot of apps. I just tap on the floating button and there's a message 'No apps using audio'. Only a few apps appears in the menu that I can adjust their level. My device version is NRD90M.N920CXXU3CQD2.

I loved this with cyanogenmod and it was hard with a samsung phone that didn't allow me to root (because of the waranty). I love it that samsung thought of this. Thank You Sam!

C70%
by C####:

I really like having the volume buttons default to changing media volume rather than ringtone volume. Something I would like to see is being able to set volume to silent instead of only vibrate automatically in Scenarios.
