Samsung Gear 360 Manager

A fantastic idea executed horrendously. With the usual elegance and reliability that comes with Samsung products you'd expect the app and software you're restricted to using would offer the same level of attention. This app and the action director suite will only push more end users to find ways of getting this onto their imac and into final cut pro. You're left assuming that the list of applicants for Samsungs QA department is fairly short these days.

The camera costs 320 USD. Would expect a great app or even a better service. When you report a problem it take months for them to resolve it and update the app. Other developers (smaller ones) give better service then Samsung.

After recent update it always failed to change to live view. Back then before update I never having problem with this. But why it's not working at all? It took forever to live view and then? Phone freezing. Please fixed this

Crashes very frequently.. every time i transfer photos and requiring me to disconnect and reconnect the device. The photo transfer stuck at 100% (android notification shows 49%). Tried reinstall but same bug. Uninstalled and installed an older version which works perfectly..

Camera works well, but the app is terrible. They did a good job doing the live view, which is the hard part, but neglected basic app design. This app frequently crashes, becomes unresponsive, and fails to connect. You can't save stuff to an SD card in your phone, so at approx 1gb per minute, your phone storage is gone very quickly. Lastly, when I updated the app, videos disappeared on my camera...thanks for loosing my memories Samsung....suck it.

Lol you empty ur pocket and get the cam and u are forced to use the app and do you know what you get?? U get ***t. 1 star is still too much. It is too slow, lags alot. expected something better.Smh. Hope they will bring something better.

GPS location added to pictures isn't updateed so all the pictures taken during one session have the same location. HDR option has no effect and dynamic range of this, quite expensive camera, is disappointing. Color reproduction isn't as great either. There's a picture orientation parameter which always shows 0 deg and can't be set. The ISO set in the app doesn't match the one in the EXIF metadata. There should be an easy way to correct the level of the horizon in the picture taken. With this price tag, it's altogether disappointing

Great Camera - but let down by this very buggy app software. Crashing every time it's started, fundamental Bluetooth or WiFi-Direct design problem. (SG6E+).

Won't even run unless you give it permission to make phone calls and initiate texts. I want a camera control app, not something I have to trust with my personal Communications. It's making me regret this purchase of the 360 camera.

This app is slow and sometimes unable to even open! Frustrating for even an experience tech-savvy individual but for novice users - a real disappointment for sure.

Just bought Gear 360 camera, installed Gear 360 app and it doesn't open on Samsung Galaxy S7 running android v7.0. So I've spent £300 on a camera that is now useless until the next update? Will that be weeks or months? Need it now.

It doesn't allow any editing other than trimming. The action director on pc takes hours to import and it is not easy to use. This needs to be able to stitch two videos together

Won't let me trim video on the apps, always say trimming cancelled... It wasn't too bad at first but now the apps crash all the time and I can't transfer picture and video to the phone wirelessly...

This app is quite slow also I wish we had a slow motion option for the camera. The biggest issue though is that there's no way to choose where to save camera's pictures and videos!!! I have a 64GB memory card but can't save the file there... Please fix this!

Love the camera itself and haven't had many problems with the app except for the length of time it takes to share the vids via the app on the phone. What I end up doing is sticking the micro sd card into my laptop and copying it onto my hard drive. What I would truly appreciate is to live feed directly to YouTube (or other such services.) Still haven't explored the other software which I was provided a key. There has been some alterations made so that you can use the gear 360 with other phones. Also, would like to keep the Gear 360 plugged into external power source and still use the phone app to control. (I am using edge 7. ) when I attempted to plug into power pack and continue using it informed me that I would have to disconnect from computer before continuing.

32gb is just not enough to manage the large files from this great camera.

I need to be able to save to SD. I'm not bothered about the save times. I just want to be able to view on the vr without having to clear memory up -_-. However. I love the camera. It's amazing. Edit:. Thanks Samsung

The update removes the ability to connect to the camera and the ability to update the camera, thanks to its shoddy, buggy interface. Very disappointing

Hope Samsung look into this issue. Allow Video or Photo to save directly to SD Card instead Internal Memory especially for 4min Video to save and stitch to S7 Edge require a lot Internal Memory Space whereby it didn't allow to use SD Memory when it have ample of memory space to save and stitch.

Wouldn't launch initially. Fast response from Samsung tech support. Had to factory reset the phone, but app now works.

Why not allow the app on any Android device? I purchased the camera and would like to use with other phones/tablets.

I can't review the pictures and photos as 360 it shows as flat pictures or video! Really disappointing

Each time I wat to go live view on my 360, the camera view crashes.

Starts with a long black screen now and says gear 360 not responding? Used to work fine. Is it my phone or a recent update?

no simple-to-implement options like bracketing. I have to manualy take 3 shots. No manual exposure. Closed ecosystem unlike ricoh for example that enables developers to write some very nice apps.

The recording functions of the app seem to work okay, but it fails every time I select "View on Gear VR" for a picture of video. It instructs me to connect my headset, and after doing so an orange icon appears briefly and then a message pops up, "Samsung Gallery has closed unexpectedly". At this point, the headset proceeds to load the default Oculus Home environment and I cannot access my Gear 360 content. Help?

Couldn't pair my gear S3 and Samsung S7. Keeps telling me to hold menu button, which launches Samsung pay.

Connected easily. Takes great photos. Wish app was available with the Samsung tablets. Just for phone limits the usefulness of it.

After the recent update to my cams firmware I can't live view anymore, it's not connecting to my S7. Help!!!
