Samsung Connect

I have a galaxy s7 and the app doesnt work at all. It found my smart TV but after one time letting me smartview it just declaired the TV unavailable. There is no "add rule" or "add mode" like it says in the tutorial and theres no catagories in "add manually", in fact the add manually doesnt work at all. It automatically "paired" my pc (whatever that means) but it wouldnt let me do anything with it and when i pressed "unpair" in order to add it again the app wouldnt find the device. There is no way to add devices to the different "places", it wont find my TV a second time. I got all excited when I updated but the app just cant do one thing right.

It's so intrusive with the two layer notification bar. I use Gear S3 and occasional Bluetooth speakers and the previous version used to concise it in one neat bar. Now it has a separate bar with "Samsung Connect" branding. The world knows we're using a Samsung phone with branding on front and back of device. You don't need to include it everywhere.

Previous Version was good, but this version is chunky and altered. The service was fine the way it was, but this update takes that away with its bad UI, as well as taking up more of the notification shade when it's out, which is unnecessary and annoying. In addition to that, it adds yet another icon to the app drawer, which just makes for clutter. This doesn't need to be it's own app. Please bring back the old design! I even uninstalled updates on Quick Connect to keep this version off my phone!

Screwed up.my volume on my phone now everything is at a super low level even at Max. Why do you insist on putting this on my phone. Let alone everyone else's when people should have the ability to purchase it from the store on their own. Most people don't have Samsung products to be able to use the application

Previous version was good. Open notifications and then click the icon and select Bluetooth device to connect too. Now i don't get the icon to open the app unless I'm already connected to a device in which case i likely don't need the icon anymore. Not sure who thought this was a good idea.

Messed up the TV Remote big time. (1) I used to be able to turn my TV on from my phone when the TV is off... Now I actually have to turn the TV on before I can actually use the remote on my phone. (2) There used to be a TouchPad to control the web browser, now it's no longer there when I go on the web and it's difficult to control the mouse with the arrows.

Please roll back to previous version. The interface is too clunky and now i can't use the app to turn on the tv anymore. What's the point then of even having the remote function if it cannot even turn on tv. The previous version worked wonderfully!

The latest update made this app so complicated. I don't have time to F around with it and read all the GD instructions. Completely ridiculous, way to ruin a good thing!

Hate this garbage, bloatware you can't uninstall. Taking up precious space for an app I will never need. Are you listening Samsung?

It went from quick connect to garbage. Why do it this way? Before it was in my drop down menu and now i have to go into the app to get certain devices to show up. My xbox one, doesn't show up, i have to go into the app. My bluetooth headphones, they show up in the dropdown menu. Which is pointless since they connect automatically when i turn them on. The search bar at the top says scan for devices, but that function isn't there, just s finder. Could have at least added a widget. Ruined this function on the note 5. Way more complicated than it needs to be. Why fix something that isn't broken??? Smh

Awesome update - this is seriously a good update. If you're calling this bloatware, at least try it. It's super useful for unifying everything wirrless. I suggest the developers add Wink support in the future.

It likes to say my phone and tv aren't on the same Wi-Fi when they are. Makes no sense what so ever when it works it's okay. Minus the fact I can't turn my tv on with my remote

Why must we be subjected to apps that we did not request or have a need? Your concept of convenience is another's annoyance. Look beyond the nose on your face and genuinely look at it from a non corporate view.

5-4-17 Seriously? I'm felling pretty much like a total complete loser! If I ever need this app. Then, I've been healed from so many Chronic illnesses!

The quick connect feature on my Note 5 stopped working. Found out that the update to Samsung Connect was the cause. Samsung replaced quick connect with this app. Would have been nice to notify owners of Samsung devices!

New update as of May 2017 sucks... Took away quick connect option in notification bar prior to having anything connect.... I also HATE the fact that it automatically tries to connect you to WiFi everytime you turn on quick connect... Please fix or allow me to go back to older version... Just because there are updates doesn't mean they are better. This is a case where it is not.

This was suddenly installed on my phone without permission, and cannot be removed. Do not force your services onto your customers. I don't want "Samsung Cloud", or "Pay", or this "Connect" stuff. Stock Android should be an option for your phones. I just want the handful of Google services I use. Next time I'm looking into a Pixel, or a Motorola.

Tells me i need to do a policy update before i can open the app. When i do, it's been updated already. Try opening the app, and tells me to update. Great job, Samsung.

Why is there another usless icon in my app drawer now? Either stop with the usless apps, or give us a way to hide them in stock launcher.

So just because I don't have internet at my home I can no longer screen mirror to my tv??????? THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used this feature daily for my entire family and now I'm just screwed. I updated this app thinking it would only get better but I'm so disappointed and want my old version back. I can't believe how bad I just got screwed by you guys!!! I bought the s7 edge the first day it came out also. Thanks for nothing

Bloatware that I will never use. Every month it's a new bloatware app. Tired of Samsung bs. NEVER buy anything from Samsung, unless u want bs every time u turn around.

Never used the app. Never wanted it installed. Why must manufacturers decide how our devices will be used and what will consume space after the sale...highly irritated

I hate this update, does not conveniently show the connect option in the status bar have to do everything from the app until a device is connected! including the fact it is another app taking up space on my phone! WHAT GIVES?!

Do not use or want this app. Very upset that you install unwanted applications that I can not remove!@

The 5/5/17 update broke the connection to my smart TVs. I cannot use remote control, share content, etc. (TV is wired to the router btw and "not on see network").

Why do we suddenly need a two part notification??? I liked the one that had my Gear on it with the battery but why do I need one that says Samsung connect too? Get rid of it!!!

Useless craplet , most people don't have Samsung tvs. Please eliminate on next update, you're using up my memory.

Useless if you dont own any other samsung devices than a phone like me.

Did not use this app. I just found it had installed itself on my phone. Stop force installing these apps on peoples devices. If i want it, ill download it myself.

I want a way to toggle quick connect back into my notifications. Now I don't see an option anywhere. It's a great app, I just want it in my notification bar for convenience.

It used to show battery life by quickly glancing at it via notifications. Now you have to click on the device to get battery status. Seems more clunky and less streamlined.

Keeps saying it needs to download something for my TV and then fails. Worked fine before update

I'm forced to keep this app that don't use and don't want. Thanks Samsung, great mentality. Don't be surprised some people go to competition because of this kind of behavior.

Oh my god !!! It was easy to access this via notifications panel but now it's gone , it can't find my Samsung tablet !!! What the hell have you done​ , update ...more like ruin it , out the option back to access via notifications panel !!!

Missing from notification panel.. cannot find any device... cannot connect at all... plz fix

I didn't ask for this. I don't want it and I can't remove it. So I'm not buying a Samsung anything going forward they lost my trust and confidence and (keeping in mind that samsung TVs are listening to our conversations) privacy.... Congrats

Called Quick Connect on SGS7. Shame that this bloatware is not to be disabled or removed.
